yeah i didn't wanna be building a minibike cause i would mess up a build i just got the stock 212cc mega moto 2 months ago 80 percent assembled in a crate and box after 1 oil change and with 93 octane fuel it goes 40ish mph all day
I put the predator on my Sears Roper without the torque converter drive. Just 40 chain and good clutch, remote tank, carb rejet and header. engine is lifted as you did. runs great!
For future reference you could clamp a thick piece of copper over the bolt holes so you don't weld over them. The copper won't hold the weld. Or you could pick up a nice 110 ting inverter and torch with gas hose for about 300 bucks
Nice bikes the red one is built for an old tecumseh hs engine with the gas tank in front and small carb in the back. alot of bikes are like that it sucks but it is what it is. alot of guys put aftermarket or tecumseh carbs on the briggs engines to fit them better
take out the governor from the 212, make a step pipe exhaust i made mine from 2 different slide fittings for fencing, k&n style air filter, and 140 emoltion tube with jets and you'll be pumping out about 9 hp from that 212 and don't really worry about a bilit rod and flywheel i've run mine for 3 years with this set up with no problems
A step pipe is a like that progressively gets bigger in steps from 1 inch to 1.5 and so A 140 emotion tube is a get out of a Honda gx 140 that gives a gx 200 more tourge and jets are just bigger sizes that allow more gas into the carb
There's a lot that you can get, with a motor mount plate for what you wanna do. I have a Baja Doodlbug with a Predator 212 motor. Try getting on a minibike forum on FB. There you can get all the technical support you need.
Braden Lehman, are you fuckin serious? , this guy is half Buffalo and half Baboon, he's a fuckin Buffoon. Ask your carer to change the chanel for you, you may find a vid from a 12yr old that shows how its done properly.
hey i would love to know more about the achol that it runs on and what was done so it would run on the achol as well ..... maybe you could show us all !
Sorry, I’m still learning how to be a good youtuber, all of these bikes have been sold for a long time now. The red one was by far the best, it had the highest top speed probably 45 mph and was the most driveable
Ok now I'm gonna start building on and I'm only 12. I have money saved up and my moms boyfriend can weld the parts together I hope I can get it done before Christmas so I can drive it😄
The Teceumseh engines were the norm for mini bikes (B&S wouldn't warranty anything on 2 wheels), like the old HS 4hp tecumsehs had the gas tank on the front, rather than on the rear, is probably what those frames were designed for.
why wouldn't you just get a longer chain if the motor could go forward more? You have the ability to weld. You could have added a plate to the mounts for the clearance forward even more. making your own motor mounts was a good idea but could have been better planned. Dont cut the frame if you don have to. You know that because you had to fix it afterwards. Once you start adding power to the motors, you are going to weld more to enforce it.
I enjoyed the video! I have a go kart project going right now and a mini bike on the back burner to be built next. Question is I think that the first mini bike was probably designed to use a centrifugal clutch like mine only mine is more of an offroad mini bike with taller tires, shocks in the back and springs on the front end. The thing is when you mount a torque converter I believe that the final chain drive is over to the right side about an inch or so from where a clutch chain would be which means that I will probably need to move the engine to the left in order for the chain to line up with the rear wheel sprocket. Is that what you basically did along with raising it? I haven't mocked everything up on it yet but I think I'm gonna have to move the engine to the left an inch or so and I think that the engine is already over to the left as it is, not sure I really want to move it but I may not have any choice. It already looks out of balance weight wise from left to right because of how far left from middle the engine sits. Any advice?
Zip tie on the plug wire, wish I'd thought of that when I was a kid. when the throttle cable broke wide open on my go-cart ( with no brakes ) and I had to reach back, and pull it off, by hand , twice , because I let go the first time and the wire it hit the spark plug again and started running again ...cool trick
i own a 1975 HPE cat mini bike i bought it from a junkyard last year for 10 bucks it had no engine but when i saved up enough money i bought a 212 predator and it bolted right up didnt have to cut anything
i cant wait to get my mini bike running i saved it from getting parted out from a big junkyard and it had no motor i paid 10 bucks for it and im saving up for the motor so i hopefully should be able to get it running by next summer
Good to see you are back, just a bit of helpful criticism I thought I might share is that a video of driving from on the minibike isn't very fun to watch it's much nicer to watch flyby S or just set a camera on some books in the yard in multiple places and peice together a lap wit a bunch of different takes. You do s great job just thought it might be helpful. Also look at the way cars and cameras films their driving videos, usually it's about 75% watching someone on the bike/kart and 25% head or wheelcam
+LemonPie4Me Hey man, the world needs more youtubers like you. Helpful and constructive. I appreciate that! I have no problem admitting that I cut corners filming the work on these bikes. I no longer have the time I used to dedicate to filming my projects. Ill try to have more action shots for the next project. Thanks again and stay tuned!
take the gas tank off the preadeddor and get a gas tank that goes on the frame in frount of the seat had the same problem you might half to take the egsaust off and get a smaller one and you might half to get a smaller air filter to or just take it off
i bought a Briggs Flathead from my local junkyard sadly it was in really bad shape the piston will never be able to run in a engine again it had scrapes all over the piston but the engine block is able to be reused
rather than modify or notch the frame because of the gas tank, why not massage the tank in that spot and reshape the tank a bit so it fits? A ball peen hammer can work wonders so long that the tank doesn't have any seam or other structural feature in that spot.
Those old school mini bikes fly right out from under you Their death machines. They don’t need big engines I traded the one I had for a pocket bike. I ride the Coleman ct 200 with a bunch of mods these days.
Have you discovered more horse power doesn't always make the best mini bike? I like speed but sometimes big HP makes for a death machine people dont want to ride.
Hey I’m not saying that I’ve ever bought a 40$ muffler but the difference is the types of flanges- the staged flange fits the exahust port rather than the stock which is just a circle Still... you could buy a staged for 4$ and make your own rather than do the 40$ option
Everybody agrees that your videos are so much better! No shop, production, cameraman, script... Son of a bitch I think it's Al Queada! That's what it actually "reeks" of buddy. Your catching the vapors, not rook... Whatever-
I have the Predator engine and Mikuni 22 carb. Problem is, I can't connect one fuel line because the tanks connection is say much larger than the one the Mikuni. Can you recommend some type of adapter? Your thoughts?
Why not take the tank off and mount it on the top frame rail? You are gonna have to get a lot more imaginative for this to work out for you. Yeah, just remount the gas tank.
Too bad those Predator engines run backwards, so the cylinder can't go forward... someone needs to sell a reverse rotation cam for them... and reverse ignition timing setup...
Your lack of proper performance mods bothers me when you put the straight pipe you need more air into the engine and to jet the carb so it doesn’t run lean
i watched this video near last christmas, since then, i have built my own mini bike by myself, and it's sweet! thanks for the inspiration
yeah i didn't wanna be building a minibike cause i would mess up a build i just got the stock 212cc mega moto 2 months ago 80 percent assembled in a crate and box after 1 oil change and with 93 octane fuel it goes 40ish mph all day
@@jerryking1434 No, because he's a liar.
Wow 🤩 how cool.you scored. Not many kids build mini bikes thease days.its great to see them come back 👍
I am glad I am not the only one struggling with an engine to fit !! Great vid
I put the predator on my Sears Roper without the torque converter drive. Just 40 chain and good clutch, remote tank, carb rejet and header. engine is lifted as you did. runs great!
that's the bikes I like with the old school look like the ones when I was a kid. thumbs up good info
The red bike with suspension came with a 3.5 Tecumseh and had a tank mounted on the top of the frame.
Great job Nice build She moves along pretty good Love the zip tie shut off system I use string lol !!
been checking your channel for almost a year, can't believe you're finally back
Cool projects, going to be starting a mini bike build myself within the next couple weeks
For future reference you could clamp a thick piece of copper over the bolt holes so you don't weld over them. The copper won't hold the weld. Or you could pick up a nice 110 ting inverter and torch with gas hose for about 300 bucks
yes you're back! I missed watching your videos!!
+Kaden Richardson Its been way too long! My new job has me tied down haha
I sure hope you can upload more often. Your videos are great!
+bignickthegreat will u sell a mini bike frame
im looking for set of tires
charles randall
Keep it up! I love your videos because you wing stuff like me! And can't wait for the driving on the racing minibike!
The so called tork converter is a must. Cheaper then replacement of burnt clutches.✌🐸
Love the burnout! cool build.
You only need to hone the cylinder if theres scaring in the cylinder but i do recommend replacing everything else and modify the the intake port
Cool Projects brother, Cheers The Dizz.
Nice bikes the red one is built for an old tecumseh hs engine with the gas tank in front and small carb in the back. alot of bikes are like that it sucks but it is what it is. alot of guys put aftermarket or tecumseh carbs on the briggs engines to fit them better
+jeep2003 Ahh right, Techumsehs! I havent worked with them very much, that's why that never popped into my head
you could have bolted a plate and extended it out forward to mount the engine
The red one is supposed to have a top mounted gas tank, like a motorcycle. But those are very nice mini bikes.
take out the governor from the 212, make a step pipe exhaust i made mine from 2 different slide fittings for fencing, k&n style air filter, and 140 emoltion tube with jets and you'll be pumping out about 9 hp from that 212 and don't really worry about a bilit rod and flywheel i've run mine for 3 years with this set up with no problems
great to see more videos!
What's a step pipe exhaust and
140 emoltion tube with jets?
A step pipe is a like that progressively gets bigger in steps from 1 inch to 1.5 and so A 140 emotion tube is a get out of a Honda gx 140 that gives a gx 200 more tourge and jets are just bigger sizes that allow more gas into the carb
+Dale Jackson do basically your saying that style header pipe and some bigger jets in the carb can give you 2-3 more hp?
Nice set of minis, I dont know if it was camera shake but at 14:42 it looked like the belt on the TC wanted to fold over at high RPMs. not sure.
Awesome bike.❤❤
if you keep a half inch of stock pipe on your flange and weld pipe over it it will increase your torque
via a bit of back pressure turbulence
Nick! you're back! nice job man
Your red one is a sears roper minibike. I have one i just picked up. the challenges lol. I'm setting mine up for the 212 hemi.
i like it thanks for the upload
Great job! I have a question, do you know where i can get a clutch or torque converter for a 301cc predator? Thank you and again great work!
There's a lot that you can get, with a motor mount plate for what you wanna do. I have a Baja Doodlbug with a Predator 212 motor. Try getting on a minibike forum on FB. There you can get all the technical support you need.
the red bike is sears roper. the trick is to use spacers behind the rear mount bolts. briggs only.
i know how you feel about the Briggs Flathead mine had the exact same issues had a badly damaged cylinder beaten up camshaft and worn out bearings
glad to see you back man. still a great video, really hope you stick around :D
+Braden Lehman Trying my best. Stay tuned!
Braden Lehman, are you fuckin serious? , this guy is half Buffalo and half Baboon, he's a fuckin Buffoon. Ask your carer to change the chanel for you, you may find a vid from a 12yr old that shows how its done properly.
lol jeez take a chill pill there bud. work with me. breath in... breath out. lol now what did he do that made you go into a little temper tantrum? XD
good set of bikes you got there
hey i would love to know more about the achol that it runs on and what was done so it would run on the achol as well ..... maybe you could show us all !
awesome work !!
How about camera angles where we can see you riding it... I feel a bit jipped not being able to see the blue one get ridden... How fast are they?

Is it time for another mini bike build? Maybe a ski on the front and a dirt bike tire on the back. For winter ripping?
The Teceumseh engines were the norm for mini bikes (B&S wouldn't warranty anything on 2 wheels), like the old HS 4hp tecumsehs had the gas tank on the front, rather than on the rear, is probably what those frames were designed for.
+ebuff57 Yes, totally true. Ive had little experience with tecs so didnt cross my mind. Thanks!

Great vid !! can you please tell me where the best place to buy mini bike motor parts and accessories clutches /sprockets jack shaft /throttles ect .
Go power sports
I usually stuck to ebay, every once in a while I’ll buy from go power sports or BMI karts
I enjoyed the video!

I'm pretty sure they used 3 or 5hp Tecumseh engines on the red minibike. They had a carb on one side and tank on the other.
Red/orange one is a Sears Roper without the gas tank...Id like to buy the blue one
i cant wait to get my mini bike running i saved it from getting parted out from a big junkyard and it had no motor i paid 10 bucks for it and im saving up for the motor so i hopefully should be able to get it running by next summer
u can put any of thoes motors all u have to do is take off the gas tank easy fix they have small gas tanks to fit anywere

A Trust In Thrust the
take the gas tank off the preadeddor and get a gas tank that goes on the frame in frount of the seat had the same problem you might half to take the egsaust off and get a smaller one and you might half to get a smaller air filter to or just take it off

PRO TIP: next time buy a longer chain and move the engine ahead 4 inches.
Yo. The black sock crew in the house.
rather than modify or notch the frame because of the gas tank, why not massage the tank in that spot and reshape the tank a bit so it fits? A ball peen hammer can work wonders so long that the tank doesn't have any seam or other structural feature in that spot.
CUT, WELD, REVISE, then put any engine you want in any frame.
Wow amazing
Man those minibike need rescuing from you from all the cobbling!!!!!! Lol
Those old school mini bikes fly right out from under you Their death machines. They don’t need big engines I traded the one I had for a pocket bike. I ride the Coleman ct 200 with a bunch of mods these days.
Where do you get your frames from I can’t find any on Craig’s list or eBay
Keep those eyes open! Deals are out there. Plus I think Facebook marketplace is where everyone is trying to sell right now so try that
Well folks is is showing you something about the subject. He’s showing you what not to do. Now let find the correct way to go about this🙃
Have you discovered more horse power doesn't always make the best mini bike? I like speed but sometimes big HP makes for a death machine people dont want to ride.
True
Yes actually
That's a good thing! Less people want to ride it so less worries about other people wrecking it lol
stclairstclair I agree.
Yea!!!!!!! You're back!!!!!
Dude thats awsome
Did you build the fames and if not where can I get material for making a frame
omg i LOVE your vids i messed them soooooo much but now you are finally back!
Man look at that monkey back brake setup. Just like in the 1960s when everything was much simpler.😅
Warning might be gas problems with gas tank. I mounted my gas tank under the seat and the engine runs like crap because it gets too much gas.
Why not move the gas tank instead of cutting the frame?
Don't cut the frame watch Cars and cameras make sure you what you can take off that motor and it still run and fit
I want to build an electric mini bike with pedals, any tips and tricks?
that red mini bike most likely had a 3 HP Briggs thats that I have in mine
Hey I’m not saying that I’ve ever bought a 40$ muffler but the difference is the types of flanges- the staged flange fits the exahust port rather than the stock which is just a circle
Still... you could buy a staged for 4$ and make your own rather than do the 40$ option
Tecumseh 3.5 hp is meant for that red mini bike.
i had one with a two speed stock transmission
Take off that stock air box and put a nice filter on it 😎
I can smell a shop rookie from a mile away. You reek buddy
Everybody agrees that your videos are so much better! No shop, production, cameraman, script... Son of a bitch I think it's Al Queada! That's what it actually "reeks" of buddy. Your catching the vapors, not rook... Whatever-
Liam Duff im a fuckin welder guy. I could fab a frame in a short weekend. Not too impressive buddy
Roman Hamm that's fine, you can call me a rookie... but where are all of your project videos showcasing your work to classify you as a professional?
bignickthegreat where do you buy your mini bikes without the engine just the metal and wheels
@@raritica8409 prove it...
Harbor freight has a 79cc that would fit on the bike. It would have matched the frame better.
I have the Predator engine and Mikuni 22 carb. Problem is, I
can't connect one fuel line because the tanks connection is say much
larger than the one the Mikuni. Can you recommend some type of adapter? Your thoughts?
guitaristinseattle put a hose clamp around it and tighten it up so it clamps on the hose
Fianaly your back in action
What ever happened to the HUGE superbike engine? Great to see you back!
+Nick Svendsen Still saving cash to buy machinery/tools to make the build happen!
+bignickthegreat it'll be great!
Why not take the tank off and mount it on the top frame rail? You are gonna have to get a lot more imaginative for this to work out for you. Yeah, just remount the gas tank.
Gregory Timmons 100% would have been so much easier with the engine he wanted aswell
Nice bike man!
rickcarroll90 thanks!
an adjustable engine mount would have saved you soo much hassle i think i got mine from omb warehouse
cool last one you should have drove it
I think that frame had a Hodaka Ace motor.
compromise the tank over compromising the frame.you wouldnt cut off your leg because your pants are high-waters
Chris Sargeant He might.
If it ain't a Lawn-King it ain't shit!!.
They might have had those engines but moved the tank or relocated it.
I put that motor and the torque converter in mine with no cutting. doodlebug.yes it is tight
oblong the t-converter mount holes next time to eliminate the raising of the motor that high.
Too bad those Predator engines run backwards, so the cylinder can't go forward... someone needs to sell a reverse rotation cam for them... and reverse ignition timing setup...
What size tires and how many teeth on the rear sprocket?
your back!
+Ploxysox Back in action baby
got a minibike frame in the junkpile o its way to the scrapper
How fast does it go, like top speed on a road
OMG you are baaack!!!!
5.5 Honda or 4.0 Honda would fix perfect
You can use the flange and a washer to put the pipe on it
What is that red mb I have the same one but no tags or any type of way to identify it I wanna build it with my nephew any tips would be appreciated
Irish Bear sorry I’m not real sure what kind of bike it was either. Was a quality frame though!
Your lack of proper performance mods bothers me when you put the straight pipe you need more air into the engine and to jet the carb so it doesn’t run lean
just watching you may have already solved the problem but sometimes you have to drill new holes
