my friend i have the same b58 and it gave me thick white smoke while i was with a/c in motion and in heat....There was no mixing of water with oils, no sound was heard now, the motor works fine now

The b58 gen 1 equipped car have extended warranty for the PCV, they will replace the diaphram free of charge.

There's a recent extended service bulletin from BMW for this issue and it is likely covered. You probably don't have to pay or do the repair yourself.
