      Hello! Since you've already done this and as I'm planning to do a day trip myself, is it actually feasible to visit a few temples and explore the nature, all in one day?

    What a beautiful place, judging by the excellent drone and camera shots Autumn really does look a great time to visit. I think I’d make it at least an overnight trip so you’re not rushing around and trying to fit things in. The Spacia X train looks like a very good option as well. Thank you for sharing this brilliant video. Best wishes to all

    Just wondering. Is either of the Tobu passes worth it if you decide to travel onwards northwards onto Aizu-Wakamatsu?

    Hi A quick question - what is the cost of tickets to reach directly to Akechidaira Ropeway?
    Well I'm more interested in covering the following places - Shinkyo Bridge, Akechidaira Ropeway, Kegon Waterfall , Lake Chuzenji & Ryuzu Falls
    Could you please suggest a route? We are traveling with an baby, is it doable?
    Thank you

    Curious: could you do the 3-monkey temple, skip the rest, and do the waterfall area in one day realistically? By the time my family get to Nikko going to assume they will be tired of shrines, but this point, but natural beauty is always impressive. Thanks.

    • @tokyocheapo
      @tokyocheapo  Рік тому +1

      Yes that's probably quite doable. It'll be 1.5 hours of travelling on the bus up and back from the waterfall area but as long as you time it well, it should be fine 😊

      So, in the end, we booked a "private tour" which was a glorified taxi service. Considering it was also raining that day (yesterday), having a car was great. For 6 people, it worked out to be about 80$ USD each. Not the most "cheapo" option but saved a lot of hassle and let us do Nikko in a day without rushing.
      Just FYI, Sunfield sets are 2,200, which is pretty expensive, especially if you are a family. However, right next to Sunfield is a "street vendor" where you can get Yuba as well for a much cheaper price. We spent about 2 yen for 5 people, and we had two servings each. The vendor also spoke English and was very welcoming and friendly. It is called Nikko Yuan.

    is the Akechidaira ropeway ticket and Chuzenji cruise ticket covered by Nikko pass?

    • @tokyocheapo
      @tokyocheapo  Рік тому +1

      Hi there! You can see what's covered in the Nikko All Area Pass here: tobutoptours.com/en/nikko-all-area-pass.html
      For the ropeway, the pass just provides a discount.

    How does the Nikko pass work with the trains at Asakusa Station? You get a digital ticket? And how long does it take? Thanks

    • @tokyocheapo
      @tokyocheapo  11 місяців тому

      Hi there! You can buy the pass online through Klook and get a digital ticket or purchase online at this website: www.tobu.co.jp/en/ticket/nikko/all.html and pick up your pass before you ride the train at Tobu Tourist Information Center Asakusa.

    I have a jr pass and will be doing only 1 day trip from tokyo to nikko
    We are planning to do cruise, kegon fall and ryuzu fall
    Should we buy nikko wide pass ?

    • @tokyocheapo
      @tokyocheapo  Рік тому

      If you already have a JR Pass, you can use it to travel from Tokyo to Nikko using the JR Nikko Line. However, the JR Pass does not cover transportation within Nikko for attractions like Lake Chuzenji, Kegon Falls, and Ryuzu Falls.
      The Nikko Wide Pass is a convenient option for exploring Nikko, especially if you plan to visit multiple attractions in a single day.

    Hello and thank you very much for this video :D !
    Do you think it's possible to visit temples and go at least as far as Keagon Falls in one day? Ideally, I'd like to do the temples, Keagon Falls and the Akechdaira Ropeway in one day. I plan to arrive in NIKKO by 10am / 10.30am maximum. Thank you very much for your answer :) !

    • @tokyocheapo
      @tokyocheapo  9 місяців тому +1

      Hello! You're very welcome for the video! Visiting temples and Keagon Falls in one day is definitely doable, especially with your early start in Nikko. As for adding the Akechidaira Ropeway, it might be a bit tight, but with efficient planning and an early start, it could be possible. Just make sure to prioritize your must-see spots and enjoy your day exploring Nikko! 😊🏞️
