The part on that Haar tele (I'm from the Netherlands too, Erik Haar is an excellent luthier) with the tc electronics delay icw the Bogner ecstasy was beautiful. Delicate and tasteful playing sounded beautiful thru that Fender. I know it's an old video but props to you Irwin. Cheers from The Netherlands John.
Really miss this guy. Best demo guy around. FYI grabbed all of them years ago but one online store not to be mentioned sold me a red used one but passed it off for new. They denied it. It wasn’t in plastic. Had no card with it or rubber feet. Used. But charged full price. Changed stores.
This is, by far, the best demo of a pedal on the entire internet. Great job.

The mini version of this pedal is the best drive pedal I’ve played in 30 years of playing guitar. Phenomenal.

@@peacefulruler1 not in my opinion. It has less toggle switches. So it’s slightly different. Bigger one is better as I said.
Amazing demo. I have bought the pedal and its the most impressive pedal I have ever played, the only pedal I'v encountered thats on the same level of quality as the Ethos Overdrive!

I bloody love this pedal. Just bought one and running it through a Mesa roadster with a Bogner 4x12 playing with an prs McCarty 53/10s w/rosewood neck...and a lot of other toys. Point is, I love this blue pedal.
Touch sensitive to 🤔 I love it I have the red always on my board! It totally reacts to my fingers & feel.

Hello, I just demo'ed the blue and the red pedal at GC.... I bought the Blue because it had great low e and high e clarity. The Blue can go from a no tone effect to Acdc with a couple flicks of the switches. Totaly transparent and quiet. I tested it through a Blues deluxe Reissue and a Blackstar amp. Its a great amp pedal. I decided not to get the red becuase of the low e powere chords were grungy. Idividual note clarity, with tons of tweak-a-bility.
Love your work mate! It's f!#king great to see & hear you play again Irwin, I'm both a fan of Bogner & your playing, so this demo just couldn't get any better! Keep it up mate :) btw- I still proudly own and use the '95 Ecstasy 101b that you used for a while back then. It still sounds awesome & gets a lot of use! Take it easy man.

MrGeodee - Please don't use words that don't make sense, you bought the hype, the pedals are great I don't deny that, but they ( as are all overdrives NOT transparent ( another over used snotty word), component = part . Sorry but I am tired of this irrelevant use of the language.

Seem that the amp is quite distorted before the pedal is kicked in so its hard to tell the effect level on a clean amp. But apart from that fantastic sound....

I have one of these and mine doesn't have 1/10th the amount of gain this has. With the gain control maxed out mine just starts to get dirty. IMO the Mojo Hand FX DMBL pedal sounds the same as my Ecstacy Blue but "more".
Try it with an already driven amp and with the boost on if it's still not distorted exchange it or return it. Good luck.
coffeewaldo I sold it and kept the Wampler Plexi-Drive Deluxe, which blows the doors off this pedal.

I really want to see a higher gain demo of this pedal. Covers the low/mid gain beautifully, but I'd like to see better how it does really pushed to it's limits
Trying to decide which to get first... blue or red. I'd love an Ecstasy amp, but it's too far out of my budget. These will have to do for now.

Very good demo, lacked a bit on higher gain though. But what I really liked were the Tele parts ;)

They sound great...of course, Irwin could be playing a First Act and it would sound amazing, so ... grain of salt...lol

Hello I need a recommendation to buy an overdrive, I am undecided between this pedal (ecstasy blue) or the bb Preamp xotic, I am looking for something transparent that sounds defined, that sounds good in the clean channel and that also heats the tubes of my tube amp when want to use the overdrive channel. Apart from being versatile, what pedal would you advise me?
Just saw this. Two totally different pedals. The blue one has more gain and the BB preamp is a more transparent lower gain pedal.
Blue for classic rock, red for modern. Pretty straight forward.
I like how in the opening shots he's playing through a Fender amp 0:50 and not a...uh....Bogner.
Really wish he demonstrated the pedal with his neck pickup.. at least once :’(

dude can you get alot of gain from this if you want like foo fighters/acdc/led zepplin sort of gain? or would the red be better for that?

Marie K totally different pedals. Bogner blue is an overdrive. The plexi deluxe high gain. And if u get the Bogner I’d put it in front of a crunchy amp. If I had to choose I’d go with the plexi deluxe. The deluxe though not the regular plexi.
