Johan Juhlin I have been using these exact same heads that he only builds for artists. I have owned several Ecstasy 101b's over the last 20 years, The 1998 model I have now is my favorite. The diagram, schematic and over all parts are different than a Ecstasy 101b that you order today. When you order one or if you do, make sure he builds the 101b with Rubicon Filter caps, 1% military spec parts and that the plate voltage is set to the originals. Mine is at 550 plate volts and the only tube I can run in it that can handle this enormous amount of plate voltage are the JJ E34L's. They can handle the higher plate voltage if you have or order a amp with these specs. I spoke to Charlie and he was totally unaware of these plate voltages, He said they run them at 500 plate volts now and that is most likely due to the quality of tubes by most manufactures. I still recommend JJ E34L's for long life, complex mids full bodied bass zero flub on the bottom end and sweet or shreddy high notes with incredible harmonic content, quick bloom and the feel of the amp beneath your fingers has elasticity without being mushy or too spongy. You can make the amp as stiff or spongy as you want but I have about 14 settings I have used on different peoples albums and you would not even believe these tones came from the same amp. There really isn't a amp on the market that can do so much. The one thing is that most people do not know how to dial them in so they get frustrated and sell it for a EVH head which is just stupid in my opinion. Eddie still has one of the Original Bogners that Reinhold traded for a few guitars. in the early to mid 80s. I have a S.L.O 100 that has been heavily modified by Mike Soldano. It has the Warren Haynes mod, The warren d martini mod and a few things that George Lynch asked for. He will tell you these mods do not exist because they are a total hassle and he just likes to build S.L.O's the way he originally designed them but their is more. The Bogner 101b beats my SLO. My Diezel V4 my Suhr and my Custom Audio. Carol ann amps and Splawn are not even in the same zip code. The Bogner is the tone you hear in your head because you can find ever bit of the rich harmonic overdrive with all even order harmonics and you can dial it in to have less wool and hair on the note like a good old 70s super lead marshall or a plexi bark. accept no imitations. Good luck!

I have seen Toto live in Sandnes/Stavanger Norway and I was blown away by his guitar sound. I have some of the best amps and preamps (Triaxis, Mark V, Engl E670, Hook Captain 34) and I would never sell them because they are just great but the Ecstasy beats all amps I have ever played. Thank you Reinhold for this amp...

There is a reason why I use Bogner amps and while I am not even close to being a Steve Lukather, he shows exactly why. My Ecstasy Classic can do anything. Thank you Reinhold!
He paid $0.00 for all of those. I don’t know why they have the charge so much for these amps. It sounds great but even even if you can afford the amp it’s still hard to justify spending months and months worth of rent or a down payment on a car on just an amp head alone never mind a stack. And, I have to say, the tone I had dialed in was way better than what Steve has in this video by far. By FAR!! His tone sounds muddy and fuzzy to me except the clean tone. Maybe Steve is loosing his hearing? The Bogner Ecstasy had crystal cleans, nice cleany crunch, and an absolute ass beater chunk and incredibly smooth gain. A clean but dirty gain. 0 fuzz in the gain. Just balls!! Overtone balls!! Drive it hard and get the tubes nice and hot and you could hold a note for an hour..Best tones I’ve ever dialed up in 40 years of playing.
