- August 1966 release by Adelaide, South Australia group the In-Sect. They were around from about 1961 to '69 and were basically a working club band who also did some wild garage teenbeat records. This was released on the W&G label & was also included on their LP.
My dad was the guitarist in this band and I have the album. Thanks for posting!!!
What a great idea to link this great song with a clip from Homicide! Thank you.
Never mind iTunes, buy a legitimate reissue of the record at the Ugly Pop website!
Paula Duncan's sister, in the clip. What was her name?
Carmen Duncan, she died 2019, RIP.
@martaTFF, interesting info. This band reminds me very much of The Misunderstood, you might know of them? A Facebook friend of mine just linked this track (thanks Gerry) it's a WOW from me, i'd not heard it before. You mention Easybeats. You might be able to help me?... I'm trying to locate orig drummer, Gordon"snowy"Fleet. Originally from my home town of Bootle,Liverpool,UK, i've tried a recording studio which Wiki said he was at, but he isn't! Thanks. Andy,Liverpool.
Got their version of Over, Under, Sideways Down? I liked it better than the Yardbirds version
@martaTFF
Where do you get your info? The band WAS called The In-Sect Their only album was called In-Sect-A-Sides (insecticides-get it?) As for being on a par with The Easybeats-what a joke.
When can we buy this music on iTunes?
