Thank you to kustomsixtyfive for the photos. Check his channel for wild footage of The Flies from 1964. The Throb were a beat group from Sydney & released two 45s in 1966. All their songs were great but I think Turn My Head is the best. It was on the Parlophone label & came out in August 1966. All data from the excellent Kommotion discography. They were Denny Burgess, Marty van Wyk, John Bell &...

The Lonely Things - Our Generation
Переглядів 1,3 тис.13 років тому
Very cool folk garage from 1966. The Lonely Things were a teen band from Providence, Rhode Island. 'Our Generation' was an original song they recorded at the New England Recording studios. I don't think any 45s were pressed; this song is only known via one existing acetate. Apparently one record company knocked it back for being too similar the the Who song 'My Generation'. This seems pretty du...

What a dancer!
Wow! Dolly Parton's got some completion in the hair contest.
If only Donald Trump could sing as well he could do a tribute act.
Black people call him the Elvis of Soul because they wish he was dead.
He’s very obviously miming. But assuming he’s miming to his own song, he’s amazing.
Dude was pretty funky, but that lip sync job was comical
James Brown not only rated Wayne, he had him as a guest on his TV show...
Crazy Wig
Groovy baby
Who else still misses Terry Lee?
Bellissima questi sono gli USA che mi piacciono
I always think of WEEGEE when I read about this guy. 0<0
Fantastic, with great vocals by Martin van Wijk. I met him a few years ago.. such a nice guy!
I’m trying to find my friend Annette Collins, can you help?

I discovered Mr Cochran accidentally and I'm fascinated. What a bluesy soul voice. What a smooth dancer! Can anybody give me a hint, where to find a tutorial for this dance moves?

I saw Wayne Cochran and the cc’s at the troubadour in West Hollywood! They were a great band and very exciting! RIP Wayne❤

These scenes come from B movies and Italian sexploitation films...pure Tarentino territory, fucking great record BTW
My grandpa Michael Layden made the backup guitar parts, he I'm learning this song from him, still knows how to 0lay it, he's still friends with the artist who made it, we see him every once and a while
I have made my first video for youtube. Its Ghost, Love, Score by Robert Brotherton.. Its a remake of a song by Nightwish one of my favorite groups. Im taught myself to play keys.. Thanks
Pretty sneaky Sis…..
Wayne's smashing barnet led me here 😎🙏🙏🙏

I'm confuzzled . . . who did the shuffle first? James Brown or Wayne Cochran???
If only they still made these. Made in Italy actually.
Its me allright, The original members were John Mark Counts Manager, and sometimes sax player. On the drums was Gary Shelton. Rhythm guitar was Jim Queen who was the one that suggested we make a record. Keyboards was Mike Dillon, Then Bobby Brotherton lead guitar. There You Have it.
Thats o.k. I still have about 50 copies left. I still live in Fredericktown , Mo. After the band broke up in 1975, I started traveling with entertainers as a light designer. I started my own company in St. Louis Mo. traveled many years with groups such as The O"Jays, Bohannon, Natalie Cole, Isley Brothers, Wild Cherry, and many other Black Groups. I then jumped into the rock side of it and toured with such groups as Head East, 38 special, David Lee Roth, Red Hot Chilie Peppers, Chicago, Bad Finger, Aerosmith, Crosby, Stills, and Nash, and many others. I then did some country with Garth Brooks, Mickey Gilley, Eddie rabbit, Louise Mandrell, and Hank Williams Jr. , I cant remember all of them, but thats the partial list. I now have a recording studio in my home and I still write and record music, and play all the instruments and vocals. I'm still using our label ( Delic ) Which I have the Copywrite.. I mostly give out my music to people for free now. I loved the innocent years and long for them again. Thanks again for responding back to me. Bobby Brotherton.
Hi Bob! Thank you so much for the comment on this! I just wanted to say that growing up (especially in my middle school / high school years) this song was absolutely one of my favorites and still is to this day, as I often listen to it. I happened to find this song by chance as well. My 6th grade music teacher mentioned being in a band called the vectors and I found this song trying to find his band and immediately fell in love. Not sure if you’re able to, but if you would be willing to share a copy of this song I would be incredibly grateful. Of course, I would support any costs to shipping it over as well. Thanks so much and so happy you commented on this UA-cam video! All the best!
Hello! Do you mean that you have 45s or LP’s of this music?
1 reply @robertbrotherton6382 I know about this song, Im the guitar player and I was in this band, in 1968. We are not from arkansas. We are from Fredericktown Misssouri., and the band started out as the Vectors, but a couple of years later we changed the name of the band to ( The Color Of Time ). My name is Bob Brotherton and I was Lead guitar. Mike Dillon was the singer and keyboard. He wrote( pasley Haze) and sang it I wrote ( Cry Me a 1000 Tears ). odd thing the night before going to the studio to record these songs, I spent the night at Mikes house and the next morning I had a sore throat from a fan he had on all night. So he sang both songs. Now after all these years all the band members are gone except for me. I miss them very much.
Hi Bob, thanks for commenting and I have corrected the location. I can't remember now where I read that your group was from Arkansas.
If this is really you, how freakin' cool!
Hi Bob, I just wanted to say thanks, I finally found this song again after a friend here in Sydney played it on his radio show. Really enjoy it and so does everyone I share it with.
I was fortunate to see Wayne in Chattanooga in a club on Brainerd rd.in 1970 He did great performance and well received. Shuffle on 👍

Human Beinz is the name of the band, not Human Beingz or is there another 60's band with a similar name?
Same band. Capitol had them drop the "g'. This is the same band that did "Nobody But Me' and all the other songs.
Love this
The Breakers who originally sung this was a Memphis garage band. They played all over the city back in the 60's.
Love this gem
Ventriloquists are awesome!!!
Wanna be James Brown.
