I have always said a person needs about six different boats to start out with to help him decide which one suits him best. After he makes that decision, keep all six and get two or three more 😂 Good to see you my friend! Great video!
You got that right Bill! When I first got a kayak, I just wanted a way to get out and fish. Now I want it to do the dishes, mow the lawn, and occasionally go to work in my place 😂😂😂 thanks for watching my friend!
Sir thank you for sharing another great perspective in deciding to put in a large investment of making the right decision to fully enjoy kayak fishing! I have put in a lot of UA-cam hours researching and making notes to build a reasonable body of knowledge when I decide to purchase my first kayak! Wanting to have my cake and eat it to seems like a far fetch idea is it a reasonable desire the multi tool of kayaks, but I love your thinking and will definitely consider it! I have made one decision not to invest into either paddle or peddle only cause I’m not trying to exercise and be tired by the time I reach my spot LOL! I watched a tournament and when the tournament started I watched one of the competitor paddle and he was stroking hard and I have to say he put in a strong effort but I wander by the time he got to his spot someone who had a peddle drive or motor beat him to it already! Tight lines my brother loved your information discussed as usual take care and God bless!
I have an Old Town peddle drive and for what it's worth, I can peddle that thing for 10 hours and never feel tired or strained. If I peddle a bicycle for 1/10th of a mile I feel like I'm dying! It's much easier peddling a kayak than I would have thought until I tried it.
Thank you J! Yeah, the swiss army kayak doesn't exist and the more I think about it the more I realize it can't. There's only so much room in a 10 to 14 foot plastic boat. So it comes down to 2 real choices, peddle or power. Paddle isn't a choice, it's a must! Motor doesn't equal speed but it certainly helps with energy consumption. My first tournament where I used a motor, I had it set on speed 3 and a guy in a sit inside Kilroy went by me like it was nothing. So the hull really maters too. You've done your research and I'm sure you'll make a great choice when the time comes. Thank you for watching and commenting!! I always appreciate you 😀
Very informative video. I definitely agree that 1 kayak probably will not effectively meet all possible fishing scenarios so sometimes you have to make concessions... or buy multiple kayaks

Thanks Chris I appreciate it. Yeah, I have to accept that and decide what will be optimal for me. Thanks for watching!
