I put a Minn Kota on the back of my kayak this year too. What I did different (and it's even simpler) is leave the lever on the shaft, squeeze it once, and wrap a strip of velcro around it to override the lock "feature".
Good idea...I initially used zip ties to hold the lever lock but decide to remove it at the end...both work. Much luck to you and may your days be full of tight lines
How do you turn the motor off and on? I just bought the same motor with a ecoworthy 20ah battery, and charger brand spanking new on marketplace for 100. I also like your idea of pulling that lift trigger or whatever. Does the trolling motor want to raise in forward or just reverse?.. sorry so #1 How do u reach back and turn it on and off. #2 does it want to lift when running? Thanks
I have a throttle extender to control speed. The motor will lift in reverse only, but I use the pedal drive for reverse, so it's not an issue. Hope this helps
Glad to see another using the versitility of delryn cutting boards. Can save lots of money.
Right on...got to save money somewhere 😀 ...hope you are doing well!
