- Full episode of Battle of the Network Stars from May 3, 1984
The winners were CBS , One of my favorite tv shows, growing up , amazing to see A list actors and icons battle it out for what would be roughly $100,000 in todays value ,can you see A listers fighting out like they did back then , i think not LOL , the remake failed completely, love seeing how hard these celebrities tried and the competition to win is awesome , I'll be posting all 19 episode over the next few days ! Battle of the Network Stars is a series of competitions in which television stars from ABC, CBS and NBC would compete in various sporting events. A total of 19 of these competitions were held between 1976 and 1988, all of which were aired by ABC.All but one of the competitions took place at the sports facilities of Pepperdine University near Malibu, California, the exception being XVIII which was held in Ixtapa, Mexico.
Each network was represented by eight or ten of its stars from various series, and one of those people from each team would be elected to serve as the network's team captain.

Thank You for this show
im happy to have them ( all 19 episodes )up plus i edited the dunk tanks and tug of war into separate videos ( those were my favorites) although i loved the whole thing
Thanks for doing this. It's alot of good memories
$20,000 in 1984 is $60,456 in 2024 dollars. Can you imagine any series star in 2024 doing this for that sum?
Happy Birthday Michael J Fox! Thanks for these fun uploads!
This was aired a year before Michael J. Fox starred as Marty McFly in the Time-Traveling smash-hit movie, Back To The Future.
I love seeing Lisa & Kim at the end of the obstacle course both times.
I LOVE this win! Billy Moses reminded me of Robert Heyes who won it for ABC the first year! LOVE this! Too bad there are so many networks this shoe cannot be done again! I missed this show!
Heyges
many networks but no good shows or enough big stars to fill the teams
Thanks for posting these episodes. This is great . People who weren't alive at the time wouldn't understand they were able to do this because we all watched the main TV networks for entertainment.
RIP Doug Sheehan. Died this week.
These must have been edited before airing on ESPN classic. They usually do profiles of some of the celebs in between competitions. I miss seeing them!
the good old times
Billy Moses is a real athlete! Love the football. Devane is a good qb. Abby Dalton's catches were terrific
Wow 😳 I can remember that bold move going to lead spot & paid off
Having Baio as a commentator was sad. Seeing his muscled-up body in a speedo was part of the whole reason for watching.
They weren't all happy days.
True!!
Muscled up? He's short, skinny, & built like a girl. 😂😂😂
Muscles. 😂 stick-boy, but good athlete.🏃
@@marksauce2383 come on. The guy had biceps
Has anyone noticed , it’s always been on comments of this episode elsewhere, Michael j fox’s Speedo?! Omg!!!!!
Why did this cut out the team members introductions at the beginning? It just goes straight into the events. It also cut the little interviews where the actors talk about themselves and their work. No wonder this one seems so short compared to the others.
The same year 1984, Scott Biao starred as Charles in Charge in the sitcom aired on CBS but lasted a season until it was revived as a first-run syndicated show.
Sarah Douglas was a sore loser. Lisa Whelchel tried to talk to her. Sarah was acting like Don't touch me!!!
Such a douche.... you are correct..I noticed that also. Lisa and Joyce DeWitt were both showed class and compassion to fellow opponents
Lisa whelchel is a wonderful person
Ursa’s a loser.
Weird seeing these before they were more famous.
Except for the commentator (SB), this was a group of good-looking guys... on the outside AND on the inside.
Fun fact: Bill Moses played Dr. Jeff Weber on General Hospital originally by future MacGyver, Richard Dean Anderson.
Michael with a semi
no what's different? The stars didn't seem to be as stuck up back then as they are today.
and now there are so many nobody celebrities, like reality stars - real housewives / kardashians that think they are special
Howard Coselle on John James…there’s a guy stroking well! Lmao😂
Hey John James looks so sexy in his Black Speedo.
bob a bowie
WERTUOISCK
TOMMY!!!!!
Ha ha lol 😂
wow MJF was huge....
was glad Mark Harmon's team lost. To this day I cannot stand that guy.
Why do you not like mark harmon just curious
I can't really explain it. He just bugs the living bejeezus out of me. I can't even stand to watch the episode he was in of Adam 12 LOL! He is in good company though because I feel the same way about Al Pacino.
@@zibbyzubblol😅
you are glad that somebody lost 40 years ago, oh my God
@@tomspeed3354 oh my God! Yes, I am glad that somebody lost 40 years ago. Especially Mark Harmon! Does that hurt your tiny little feelings?
would like to see some from the 70s, especially the Feb 28 1977 with hosts Howard, OJ Simpson and Bruce Jenner!
