I'm an overthinker that can put it aside in a good time. But my last partner kept asking and asking and giving a mopey "are you sure" basically telling me "you don't react like other women, so I don't believe YOU are feeling the way you say or your responses are genuine for how you express enjoyment." I think he just compared everything to his ex wife.

The important thing is that your future partner loves you for you, if you’re shy and reserved then it’s not a bad idea to make sure your partner knows m, and loves that about you. Although it could be that they too are that way, it would be a shame if you both were too scared. Just remember: the worst thing that can happen is you get rejected, it will feel bad, but you can get over it👍
Honestly posted the comment mostly as a bit of a joke. I don’t really have a crush now or anything. But I do agree with what you’re saying. I would never pretend to someone I’m not. Not around anyone. It’s just… for the few people I’m really close to the get to know the real me. I think I’d only be comfortable with romance if someone already knows something about the real me; me interests, beliefs, rich inner world (that’s where most things happen). And honestly, I can be everything but shy when I’m around people with whom I’m comfortable, but when it comes to strangers or acquaintances… I’m more closed off.

Great insights on how the big five personality traits impact sexual desires and behaviors. This information will definitely create awareness and help individuals better understand their sexual behaviors.
I’m high in neuroticism, and in this regard it’s just made me dreadfully paranoid and fearful of anything sexual be it on the giving or receiving end or just. Anything related to sexuality at all. Nothing but fear and anxiety at the thought of it all.

Same bro. As soon as I'm in that situation it's like my brain hits a black mirror that is trying to force absolutely anything else into the forefront of my mind. I can't think because my mind can't focus on anything even what's happening in the room. I've had whole sessions that I don't remember even a single detail because my mind was refusing to be present. This causes me to have overwhelming anxiety and a sense of dread whenever it even might come up.
I am definitely open-minded, curious, creative and appreciate new experiences. Since I am indeed a bit kinky in my sexual fantasies I can confirm your point from my own perspective. Nevertheless, I am also anxious and feel a general fear of rejection when I approach women. The few times I was brave enough I got myself rejected.
I agree with the over-thinking one. I even was, at the least, emotionally cheating on my husband for years at the beginning of our marriage and didn't even realize it until I started noticing how my guy friends were acting towards me, which took a long time for me to notice and accept as the truth. Part of it was that I didn't enjoy intercourse, I'd only been with my husband, as much as I enjoyed being intimate through sweet words, touch and cuddling, as well as foreplay, so I unintentionally was looking for it elsewhere (the sweet words) and misconstrued my husband's love of intercourse as just something for him to do that, if he wanted to cheat, he could do with any other woman, when in fact for him, him wanting to do that with me was a form of him being intimate with me. But I was always over-thinking things, causing unnecessary issues between us.
This video probably confirms that I'm Asexual. Because I didn't get anything this video tried to explain. I tried hard to understand but all of this just flies over my head. But I think my autism plays a big part in it as well. I'm not repulsed by it though. But when the time comes it's completely up the the woman to teach me the ways of sex.
Your self-awareness is valuable, and it's okay to have different experiences and perspectives. Understanding your comfort level is crucial, and communication with a partner is key. If you ever want to explore or discuss these feelings further, there are supportive communities and resources available. Your autonomy in deciding what feels right for you is important. How do you envision navigating these aspects in your own way?
I am constantly shifting between these two feeling: "I want the True One with a healthy relationship, including sex too" and "I turned 20 yesterday and I still haven't found a person who could be my True One, hell, I have never even found a really really close friend, I think I should give up and focus on other things". Happiness is relative. Everyone's happiness is different and my would be to have the True One. But I don't think I can achive that, overral I am a positive person, in this case, no. I am maybe too damaged for that. I have changed so much over the past one year, I am like a million times better, but I am still me, and I don't think I fully know myself, all I know is that... I am alone.
You said you just turned 20 years old? In that case, please don’t rush yourself. You have all the time in the world still. And you have not yet matured into a full adult, with all due respect. Enjoy youth while you can, in a healthy way. Starting a family is a wonderful thing, I have the same goal myself, but that also means you must be prepared to support your family both financially, physically and emotionally. This is a life long engagement and will forever be your first priority. Take your time to be sure about who your partner really are, before getting too serious about it. If I may give you one more advise, I would urge you not to seek out your soulmate to rid you of your loneliness - not saying that you are lonely, but a lot of people are lonely in this day and age, and I am also speaking from my own experiences. You should start building a strong relationship with yourself and love and respect yourself before you can truly love and take good care of a partner and a family. Just my opinion. Wish you all the luck and happiness.
I am in the same position, except that I'm 22 and still haven't found anyone. I'm not sad about it because i don't think i am in the right place at the moment. But we are both still young. And Andy Pandyh is right (words i never thought I'd say 😆), it's important to be comfortable and happy with yourself before you have a relationship. The universe knows I'm not haha. Also I'd love for soulmates to be real, but i frankly don't believe they exist. There isnt 'the one'. But there are probably many people out there who would be amazing to have experiences with. And once you find inner peace (if you haven't already), take these experiences, run with them and enjoy the hell out of them :)
I definitely feel you. I'm in a similar situation right as of right now. I'm just trying to trust God in this one. That He has a plan, even if I don't fully understand it currently. I wouldn't give up on the idea of love and relationships though. There's someone out there for you. :)
@@AndyPandyh I don't want a family yet, I just want a soulmate, I want to love. I was VERY lonely for around 19 and a half year. Basicly my whole life. I have got two friends the past half a year, one of them is my dad's friend too, she isn't my age (she is around 44), she can't always understand me etc. I also have a peer friend, but we aren't that close.
@@D3STRUCTOR_ Ok, I hope that situation turns out better for you soon. If you are able to find a connection with even just one good, close friend - then I believe you are set. One close friend is really all any of us really need. At the same time, if you surround yourself with family, this also can help battle loneliness. The last thing you should do is sit alone by yourself most of the time. Seek the company of other people (even if they are not close friends). I know you can still feel lonely though, even if you have friends and family, if your mind is set on finding «true love». If that’s the case it’s all about your mindset. Then you may consider reworking your priorities.
I indeed can't relax and enjoy it. Only when I'm alone lol. And I don't like the idea of ' relationship ' I think I might even be asexual or something along these lines because I sometimes get physically attracted but it fades and while I care about my friends, I can't really fall in love or develop deep bonds.
Quite so at least for the side of keeping distant, even when desire strikes. Generally, pessimism about the sustainability of a relationship is catching very quickly (or maybe it's my desire which is slow, I don't know xd).
Thnx for this video Psych2go!!! I'm 18 with paraphilia and an aquired brain injury as well as a complicated personality type. Again thank you. This video was very eye opening

My first girlfriend and I were both shy introverts, and both neurotic overthinkers. At times, it was definitely like 2 similar charges that repel each other. But we always overcame troubles in the bedroom, because good sex was the goal for both of us. So you can overcome obstacles if you're willing to work on them together.
@@the_skeleton135 ha, inexperienced. Let's see how you like it when you're already over 50, then your false sense of safety is only naivete in disguise.
I don't even know why I am watching this, probably because your videos are so good and I still enjoy your art style. Being a loner in his early 30's with zero experiences (which includes even a slight kiss) and only one traumatizing love relationship so far, sex should be the least of my worries.
I'm not much for cheating, but then, i'm an introvert, and i barely think about sex, especially when i'm with others. I don't really know my own personality, but everyone around me says i'm a nice guy, who's quite good with animals and children, even if i don't really like children. I'm not really a people person
It sounds like you have a strong sense of integrity regarding fidelity, and being introverted is a unique aspect of your personality. Being recognized as a kind person who's good with animals and children speaks volumes about your character. Embracing your introverted nature is perfectly fine, and it's essential to understand and appreciate your own personality at your own pace. What aspects of your personality do you find most defining or intriguing?
@@Psych2go the most defining aspect of my personality is probably that i'm an understanding guy. People doesn't seem to think that i understand much, only because i have autism and ADHD, but i understand way more than what i get credit for, so that's probably the most defining aspect of my personality. People who know me knows i understand more than most others would know
Doesn't shock me that overthinking and stress can kill sex drive. There's probably some underlying things too but I have legitimate issues with even getting in the mood. My mind just literally has no prioritization on it.
Can I say extroverts are some breed watching them light up a room is exhausting as an introvert but in a good way they draw everybody out of their shells. I love you extroverts ❤️
It's essential to remember that everyone is a unique individual, and a combination of traits or challenges doesn't necessarily determine your fate. People have the capacity for growth and change. If you're facing difficulties or challenges, consider seeking support from friends, family, or professionals who can provide guidance. What specific aspects are you concerned about, and how can I assist you further?
I’m a first year in college and still haven’t had my first kiss yet… I’m just hoping, dreaming and praying that I find that someone special. Your time will come!
I lost my virginity at 23 years old in college. Just focus on figuring out who you are and growing into the best version of yourself. People will notice your efforts and gravitate towards you naturally. You're under no obligation to anyone and you're no any more or less of a person worthy of respect because of your sexual status.
It's okay! I had my first kiss at 26. I'm 29 now and I'm still a virgin (I have a fiancé and we're waiting until marriage). Take your time and don't rush into things just because everyone else is. Save yourself for somebody who will love your heart, mind, soul, and body.
That's a valid point. Curious to know your thoughts-what aspects of life do you believe have a more significant impact on shaping personality in the absence of a sex life?
I thought that this was about how your personality affects your sex life and not the other way round? Surely the affects of your sex life on your personality is a completely different question.
@@Psych2go My mental health regarding women/sex has been very introverted. From an early age, I saw it as something as wrong/shameful. Having feelings for a girl is something I still have difficulty with because of a traumatic event when I was in Grade 2. My homeroom teacher screamed at me in front of everyone after school because I had a crush on her daughter who was in Grade 4. As an adult nearly 40, I’ve had three dates (they were ok) and sex five times (pay to play) but no real experience with having a girlfriend so I came into those situations very nervous. Friends have mocked me, I’ve been given the brother/friend treatment countless times and something on a possible hookup (which I’ve worked for) which turned out that she already had a boyfriend that she wasn’t dating. (according to her) It’s been about 9 years since I last had sex and the closest I’ve come to sex in the past 9 years was two nude cuddle sessions with a cuddle therapist. I’d like to find romance but my heart has been broken so much that I’m scared to try and I don’t have friends who’ll help me beyond words of encouragement. I don’t feel normal being single as long as I’ve been and feel like I’m damaged goods. All I’ve got is my imagination but I know that is not a substitute.
@@Psych2gonot the op, but I believe with the absence of sex or a love life in general, your personality comes from the rest of your environment. Like friends, family, coworkers, and the hobbies you indulge in. I do believe we are often times a product of our environment, and while it doesn’t exclusively defines us, it does shape who we are. As someone who’s nearly 27 and never had sex or been in a romantic relationship as an adult, I feel like my personality comes from the people I spend time with the majority of the time, as well as my hobbies and interests that I spend my alone time enjoying.
There is a joke told by a standup comedian, about "men are only as freaky as they think they're allowed to be." I tend to somewhat agree with that. Outside of choking and binding me, I'm pretty open to what my partner wants. I can't speak for every man, but yeah. Plus he made me laugh telling the joke. Look him up. His name is Brad Williams.
Can't pick one for sure, i'm definitly a person who knows what they want and my stubbornness won't allow otherwise besides i'm quite specific in what i like and what i don't
Did the ocean personality test twice for 2 classes. Kinda shows how consistent it is as a proper personality test. My neuroticism is very low at 5. My agreeableness, the only one that changed went from 1 to 0 lol. Openness is 63 Conscientiousness is 71 Extraversion is medium at 67 I wonder how being medium affects stuff. People did not expect my extraversion to be that high, seeing as I'm alone most of the time but it turns out my openness and disagreeability have made it very easy to talk to people I don't know. Also probably helps that I have no conscience or sense of shame lol. My conscientiousness is all from the fact that I do everything I promise and I tend to remember things very well, so my stuff isn't very neat and I don't actually plan things most of the time. Or rather I can plan things so fast that I don't bother until it's absolutely required. I literally do not rehearse for my presentations, I sometimes even switch the slides up last minute so I don't really know what I'm doing. My plan is always to wing it mad crazy. Which I probably why my openness is above 50, I don't particularly go out to do new things but I can adapt so well to most situations that I usually just agree to doing things. We did a project on relationship satisfaction relating to personality. And it seems my personality makes me not want to be in relationships at all.
I used a website called 16personalities. Turns out I'm an INFP-T (mediator) it has similar attributes and all that. I'm 80% introverted 73% intuitive 78% feeling 61% prospecting 93% turbulent Not gonna lie, it's pretty cool. I suggest you try it😊

I’m a virgin but I don’t understand why I should want to be in a relationship if I don’t want to because people say that’s bad, I feel as if it’s a good thing.
There is no rule saying you have to have a relationship. If you don't feel like one would enhance your life, don't force yourself to get into one, even when others encourage/pressure you to. Faking it to appease others is not fair to you or your "partner."
@SymnGeeI generally agree with this, but whether you’re ready or not, people will always hurt each other at some point. Often unintentionally. It can’t be avoided. I say this, but of course I still shy away from relationships because I think my insecurities will be a burden on other people 😅
I kinda go three different ways depending on mood. When I’m content with (mostly) everything I don’t really crave sex. However I do go through periods where I’m craving intimacy like no tomorrow. That’s usually when I’m most likely to try new stuff and probably be a little rougher in the bedroom lmao 🤣. But mostly I want a deep connection with someone and that’s usually when I’m either most vulnerable and shy or a very intimate and passionate partner. Idk if any of that makes sense, but hey, sex is a learning experience…. Right? 😅
Yes Maeve and Otis are different in some ways but I wouldn’t call Maeve confident. She may be popular with many admires but she’s actually pretty insecure and pretty introverted too. She’s bold, mature and brave but not necessarily confident.
I don't know what i like and don't like in general, i feel that may not be ideal for relationships. Since im annoymous here, i can say that i struggle a lot with most aspects of relationships because i generally struggle to know what to do or what i want, when i want it etc. I generally feel that i'm at a disadvantage with all relationship aspects, especially anything physical or romantic There's my little vent

remember these are just studies and what the majority tends to be but it doesnt define you. I tend to be a neurotic person but when I get in bed with someone I really like I just turn into a different person and really enjoy my time, its like the few moments of my day when Im not really neurotic.
I'm a bit confused. 4/5 are applicable to some extent (except for the extroverted side. I'm >85% introverted), but none of them fully are. Guess that's just life saying nope to the squares humanity wants to neatly organise everything into.

I used to be nuerotic it was rough bro, but at some point inbecame more opened about trying things and my partner is a lot like the last one we would sit and talk about then its like magic really voicing out doesnt mean arguement. Its just something youre asking for .
I used to be the neuroticism type during the first years dating my then boyfriend - now husband. He was "The Compromiser" and thank God for that coz he was my first (hopefully last s*x partner ever) We got married! And then poof! We both became the "shm-outine" and yesss we're both flirty until now! I'm happy that I can proudly say we complimented each other sexually😅
neuroticism is a toughy. I'm quite high in it and it has caused me a great deal of grief. For anyone else dealing with neuroticism therapy can be really helpful and I personally want to seek more therapy for that reason.
The silent treatment is not a punishment it’s usually because you’re not being heard so then you feel like what’s the point in talking anyway since you’re not being heard. I really hate that. I remember my sweetheart thought I was giving him the silent treatment to punish him and I said no I’m literally upset because we got into an argument and you weren’t listening to anything I said, so what was the point of me talking at all at that point? So I don’t say nothing there’s no point to saying anything when you’re not being listened to..
I just wrote a comment on that lol before I looked at other comments if able find it read it lol might get reported or might get a like idk don't care youtube don't feed me nor please me🎉😮 lol But like watching it
I have yet to discover this with a future partner, but i can be quite adventurous and contiuous. I wanna be able to experience many countless fantasies and ideas with someone who's okay with it, with consent, wanting to experiment too and knows how to play her part.
I see sex as a form of love if I have someone I love but if there is no lover to love then sex will become a necessity or mere pleasure which means preferring to do alone rather than having free sex without any love and clear relationship
Good video, I liked the topic and presentation. I always wondered how "Zodiac Signs Effects Sexual Behavior" I was going to research this topic and add it to my channel. Continue making videos I enjoy watching them.
I'm a people pleaser beyond my own good and it translates to the bedroom. I am working on it, both in and outside the bedroom, but it's really hard to, as you suggest in the video, speak up about your own desires or needs, if you are so used to doing what other people enjoy, that you don't know what your own desires are - and yes, you can explore with yourself, but only to some extend, and even then it can be hard to know what there is to explore. So does anyone have advice as to how to find out what one enjoys?
One possible suggestion is to have days where you’re fully in charge, and your partner is the one trying things you want to do or test out. If you already tried it a bit on your own (if possible) then it’d hopefully make it easier to try as a couple since you know whether you like it
Well as a very sensitive, stressed oberthinking and neurotic person in general, I personally can say that I am very confident when it comes to sex, indeed I can‘t go wothout sex for like a week, I also do know that I struggle with sex addiction but for me sex is a great escape from reality and I enjoy it very much with my partner!❤️😄
i'd say i am the first one but it's worse than that. i am extremely terrified of intimacy/sexual activities involving another person. i don't have sexual trauma but my anxiety surrounding sex it's so bad that i don't think i'd ever get involved with someone like that again.
Well i am a virgin. and die as a virgin. But thank you for this video,Psych2go. I am watching it out of curiosity. and your videos always makes me curious ♡
The problem is that people view sex as one thing, for everyone all of the time. As if it cannot be multiple things to different people in different times of their life for different reasons. The problem is that people condescendingly think their way is the only way. It's really frustrating.

How do you envision navigating these aspects in your own way?
>asexual
I envy you.
It also means you're shitty on understanding theory, cause one can be asexual and understand the video. lol
I love Rammstein
Where we direct our energy and focus is often related to beliefs we hold about ourselves and the world.-😇
God job on the video!
You're welcome! We're glad the video resonated with you. If you have any questions or would like more information, feel free to ask. Take care! 😊 What other topics would you be interested in learning about?
All sorts!!! I've been watching your vids since last year and always found them very helpful
Lol i always heard that the quietest ones in the room are secretly the most freaky 😂
It’s true coming from the quietest one.
Yeah 😂 Its actually true. I am an introvert and have high libido.
It's a common saying! People can surprise you with their hidden sides. What's your take on this amusing observation? 😄
I rarely talk but once you get through that ice barrier I'm Royal as a dog unless you treat me bad
@@Moshi_cha Same! I would never betray anyone, unless they will start doing bad things, cuz I don't want to be involved with bad ppl.
As for somebody that has no sex life or rizz, i see this as an absolute win

Being a loner in his early 30's with zero experiences (which includes even a slight kiss) and only one traumatizing love relationship so far, sex should be the least of my worries.
Talking things out is hands down the way to go, trust me u will have the best late night session after talking things out
I'm not much for cheating, but then, i'm an introvert, and i barely think about sex, especially when i'm with others.
People who know me knows i understand more than most others would know
100% relatable here 😂

It’s very interesting to know about these traits relating to sexuality. They can be important to new relationships.
How doomed am I if I'm all of these? (minus the cheating part)
It's essential to remember that everyone is a unique individual, and a combination of traits or challenges doesn't necessarily determine your fate. People have the capacity for growth and change. I’m just hoping, dreaming and praying that I find that someone special.

Your sex life can't affect your personality if you don't have a sex life.
Ohh please don't hit me more
That's a valid point. Curious to know your thoughts-what aspects of life do you believe have a more significant impact on shaping personality in the absence of a sex life?
I thought that this was about how your personality affects your sex life and not the other way round? Surely the affects of your sex life on your personality is a completely different question.
@@Psych2go
My mental health regarding women/sex has been very introverted.
(according to her)
It’s been about 9 years since I last had sex and the closest I’ve come to sex in the past 9 years was two nude cuddle sessions with a cuddle therapist.
There's a lot to learn for future relationships here, thank you for this video!
I used to come to you for advice when I didn’t have a girlfriend but now I do it’s really been a while since I’ve watched this channel
Openness is 63
Conscientiousness is 71
Extraversion is medium at 67
I wonder how being medium affects stuff.
Who?
I used a website called 16personalities. Turns out I'm an INFP-T (mediator) it has similar attributes and all that.

73% intuitive
78% feeling
61% prospecting
93% turbulent

I’m a virgin but I don’t understand why I should want to be in a relationship if I don’t want to because people say that’s bad, I feel as if it’s a good thing.
Relationships are a waste of time. I'm happier alone.
I generally feel that i'm at a disadvantage with all relationship aspects, especially anything physical or romantic

neuroticism is a toughy. I'm quite high in it and it has caused me a great deal of grief. For anyone else dealing with neuroticism therapy can be really helpful and I personally want to seek more therapy for that reason.

Could you cover the introvert personality type not the shy type.
Thank you for this video I really appreciate this insight and your time and effort💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
I have quite a few of these personality traits, but I'm non-sexual. It is possible to extricate personality from sex.

What does it mean if I fell in love and can't talk to that person but can talk to others
I see sex as a form of love if I have someone I love but if there is no lover to love then sex will become a necessity or mere pleasure which means preferring to do alone rather than having free sex without any love and clear relationship
Well i see sex just as behavior that pleasure people.
I’m a passionate introverted empath, I prefer romantic relationships so am I screwed or just rare?
You may be asexual
No where feels safe anymore I can’t call anywhere home can u please make a video about this?
Good video, I liked the topic and presentation. I always wondered how "Zodiac Signs Effects Sexual Behavior" I was going to research this topic and add it to my channel. Continue making videos I enjoy watching them.
Should I be concerned that I don't find myself matching to any of these traits?
