I am VERY grateful to Nick:was very sick and weak when I stated practicing with him last winter. I've practiced with some masters even live, even main-land Chinese. You are right up there with the best, Prabhu. Namaste. geat life to you! Chales
This is how these ancient techniques should be taught to the general public, not everyone can practice under the guidance of a good master and some techniques of the so-called 'fire' traditions can even be truly dangerous. These safer techniques from the 'water' traditions are the best in my opinion, thank you, sharing for sure!
I like your sense of humor in the intro. 😂 Thankyou for your videos, 🙏 may God continue to bless us all with good health and good immune system thru all these great exercises. 💫
Thank you Nick. Your sessions are great. Really enjoy them. Any ideas to help loosen a tight hamstrings, calves and prevent sore achilles from running. Should I focus on the forward stretches as in some of your other videos?
I have one question: what is your/Chinese medicine perspective on workout or strength training? Becuase sometime I feel really tired after workout. So wondering if it's good for me or not.mm
The traditional Chinese approach would generally be to focus for on building the tendons and connective tissues more than the muscles. They say having extra muscle drains the spleen chi, or digestive energy. However, exercises in general is good for moving stagnant chi and blood, so any way you like to exercises is going to be better than not exercising at all. I think it is best to aim for moderation. Overtraining with strength or cardio likely does more long term harm than good, but a moderate amount of strength training (what is moderate will vary between individuals) likely has more benefit than harm. If you are getting tired after workouts, you may need more sleep, or you may need more protein and carbohydrates or even some sugar before and after your workouts so that your body can recover properly. Working out in a fasted state or in ketosis really threw my health/energy for a loop about a year and a half ago, but it may be good for some people. To simplify, if you have a lot of yang energy but are deficient in your yin, it is like a bright candle flame with very little wax. The wax (yin) will be quickly burnt out by the flame (yang). So if a moderate intensity workout (yang) is leaving you with long lasting or intense fatigue (yin deficiency), you may want to invest in building up your "yin" - through more sleep, meditation, gentle qigong, easily digestible nourishing foods like stews and broths, and even maybe getting some bloodwork to check for vitamin/mineral deficiencies.

I just wonder. Isn't immunity point found in your back neck? I've learned it in QI Gong.
Yes, there are several, but that’s a great one! 😊
Hello Nick, is the breathing in and out through the nose?
Good question. Yes, nose is preferable.
