- Another thing with Ram 1500 trucks nowadays is the suspension is super soft and they don't hold much weight. Swapping out the stock springs with TufTruck Heavy Duty springs stiffens the ride quality and ability to haul stuff squatting half of what you would with stock springs, all things same.

I love the simple technique you used. The others out there removed lots of other components which , obviously, wasn’t necessary. I also upgraded my bump stops at the same time.
You guys made my job A LOT easier. Thank you.
I definitely need to do my rear shocks, Im having a lot of body roll on highways. I just hit 200k, so I definitely need a shock upgrade on my 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie.
Thanks for letting us know you have the laramie
I just installed the same coils on my 2016. It was soft since new and has gotten worse over the last 7 years. This made a dramatic difference. Your procedure was a lot simpler than others I saw. Not sure why some people take the wheels off and unbolt the sway bar.
Mint.
Great.. not cluttered with unnecessary talking.
i might do both my springs and shocks
but this is simple and straight to the point!
Excellent, I would have changed out the shocks too! That's what I was looking for in the first place and you's guys showed up! 👍
I'm installing these tomorrow with 2" spacers and Fox 2.0 shocks.
Then Bilstein 5100 lifted coilovers in the front with JBA UCAs
That’s a great setup brap!
Brippity brop, the jacking don't stop.
i figured it was just as easy as remove shock bolts and jack the truck by the frame. i plan to do this and add a 1.5" spacer to go with the 2" front lift
I just ordered a set of Tufftruck variable springs and was looking for some install info, awesome video, thank you very much!!! Some others disconnected the sway bay, I take it that is not necessary?
50% stiffer, yahhhh buddy!🤟🏻
I have a 2020. Can I use this same method to change the springs?
Thanks I got some tiff truck springs for my 5500 Dodge there 1.5” shorter wondering if I have the right springs it says on the box 55000 Dodge mines a tradesman edition I gave the lift shop all my info
Does doing this effect ride height. I’ve got 1.5 inch level in the rear, and want stiffer shocks but the same level look. Thanks for help
I have 2010 Ram, and I want to know if 2014 and 2009 springs have some difference? On Mopar site I see, that 2010 and 2014 rear coil springs have different part numbers, but some non-original springs are 2009-2018 and some 2014-2018. Would 2009-2018 springs really fit my car?
1:02 we fishin or wrenchin?
perch.... breaking the line... oh boy.
can you swap the shocks without removing the wheels too?
You probably could but then you'd really have to jack it up high.
Is there anything to look for after installing the spring then lowering the jack
Has any installed these springs with a level kit? Do you need the rear spring spacers? My understanding being these springs lift the rear slightly.
I am running a 2.5" leveling kit in the front with a 1" lift in the rear with 34s. Ride height is great!
Sway bar removal necesary?
Nice
do yours clank after install when going over bumps? I installed with bilstein 5100's and they make a lot of noise I'd sure like to fix if I could.
No clanking, clunking, squeaking, or anything out of the normal. I would highly recommend this set up to anyone!
Is your Ram the warlock edition?
Great video. Do you have one for the front?
YES!
@@BrapStuff Ive had trouble with suspension on a few dodges. Id love to solve this once and for all. The right is sagging because I hit a really bad pothole front and rear. The truck has always sagged to the right side. Im sure this is the problem. Do springs actually lose their ability to hold the truck in the proper position?
@@snap1966 If the coil broke, then sure. Otherwise, highly unlikely.
Who loosens a bolt by turning the bolt and not the nut?!?
With dual ratchets it’s first come first serve. ;)
Brake line cables 🤦♂️
How's the ride difference ?
This is how they should have come from the factory. It’s the perfect firm feeling. I will also be uploading a review with front and rear suspension…. Stay tuned!
@@BrapStuff did it raise the rear at all ?
Stock height maybe a hair because they are stiffer. I’d say maybe 1/4.” I added 1” spacers too beneath the coils.
@@BrapStuff awesome thanks bud
@@BrapStuffwhat spacers did you go with ?
What a crappy video
Oh please don't show us the aftermath of the finished product oh please we don't want to see that we don't want to see where the truck sits with the new coil springs what a bunch of putts
Do your own research on what springs and look you want. This was to show the install brap.
