I have a Camry and just purchased a 2025 ES. Totally different cars to me. I got about 7.5% off. I didn't feel like walking away and coming back to fight for the 10% I know I could have gotten. I fooled around and fell in love with the interior color scheme and was afraid it would be gone. So I purchased it on the first day negotiating.
Sounds like you did the wise thing. You'll be glad you're driving what you like a lot longer than you'll miss the modest extra cash you may have left on the table.
*Most* of the Uber cars in the UAE are ES hybrids as the fleet was initially standardised, until they let other brands in. But still on average when you call an Uber, you expect an ES. Smooth, comfortable, and quiet ride. As usual, thanks for the great video.
I currently drive a 2020 Acura TLX and interesting in trading in for 2025 Lexus ES 350. After test drive the vehicle, I like the roomier cabin and more comfortable, quiet ride. I was consider of getting a SUV due to option of four-wheel-vehicle and additional space, but I don't really need the space or utility and I also don't see myself paying nearly the same or more money when this vehicle surprisingly is not bad price despite like of AWD not available in V6 model. I test drove the new TLX and while is quite an upgrade for me, the lack of space and so-so touch pad was a deal breaker for me.
The es is one of the best sedans i have driven , agreed it’s the luxury version of the camry , but totally different compared to camry . wish there was es 350 awd but they had the 250 awd toowhich is rav4 engine and not that great !!
@@jujharsingh4458 the common mistake everyone keeps making is they believe these vehicles are “based on each other” an ES is not an Avalon or a Camry these vehicles ride on the TNGA-K global architecture shared with many vehicles like Camry, Avalon, Highlander, Venza, ES, RX, TX, etc.
What do you value? Because it's already pretty apparent how they'll compare. The ES will be moderately but not radically restyled, probably moving toward an RX-style grille. Both will have similar infotainment. Neither will have V6 smoothness, and if you value that, waiting will be a mistake.
@@tonysterbenc I based my comment on a fresh new exterior styling, the elimination of those hideous Frankenstein neck bolts on the instrument panel, and keeping some of the functions out of the infotainment screen like the current ES. But having driven a sedan all my life, I decided to go with the advantages of an SUV and will go with the 2025 RX350.

No comparison. Apples to oranges. If you are going to keep a long time, Lexus is the obvious choice. BMW to lease and get out while still under warranty. With that said, the pricing is way different. BMW is much more expensive. The design is polarizing but that is subjective. I think the 2023 was much nicer, but to each their own. The ES is priced like the 3 series. That BMW lease is $1k per month. The ES is almost half that. In 10 years, you will still have your ES, while that BMW will be a distant memory. All depends on your age, finances, need for all wheel drive, need for spare tire ( never get a car without it, it will come back to bite you guaranteed), wants and desires.
For ride/handling balance, any German midsizer whips the ES. For value or for long-term ownership, the ES wins. The old rule still applies: Buy Japanese, lease German.
😂 bmw is one of the worst cars to own after the warranty period is up it’s definitely a cash cow not worth it at all go with the Lexus it will last for years
When they get the fifth generation hybrid system in the ES, it will be top notch. I hope they make it clearly superior to the Camry equivalent. Plus we’ll be able to get AWD. I have thought about grabbing a V6 ES before they end production. Related note: I think the people who got the GX before the redesign made a good decision. Excellent work as always!
Yea you're right my friend the new hybrid drivetrain is pretty smooth and more powerful than what Lexus currently offers. I too hope it is far superior to what a camry feels like. 2023 GX buyers are lucky indeed great vehicle truly a last of its kind. Honestly I own one of these. 2021 F sport. It’s rather problematic not even for a Lexus but for a car in general. My transmission had to be replaced at 40k miles bc it was so clunky the dealership was advised by Lexus to change it out. The interior trim, while made with really great materials especially considering the price class, is put together in a shoddy fashion. LOTSSSSSS of creaks and rattles most especially from the center console when you place your elbow on it and the door panels as well. They rattle when the music volume is up only 1/4 of the way to max. My right headlight started leaking water and needed a $4k whole headlight housing replacement. My gear shifter is about to fall apart- it is so loose and the button sticks everytime. My IS had none of these issues. That’s the difference of Kentucky made VS Japan made. The ES is made by Americans in Kentucky. IS still built in Japan where if they do a bad job they need to kick the bucket.- with that being said… it’s a fabulous sexy sedan with a smooth V6 that will run forever. But man I understand why they are taking ES production back to Japan

Luckily it’s Lexus so they quickly rectify the major issues without causing you grief. Yea you can do one pay lease with Lexus where you cut the interest you pay on the lease considerably. You can also put down MSDs or a refundable deposit to lower the interest of the Lease
i love my 2024 ES350. this V6 sounds great, i have a video, i went for the fsport design and not the fsport to get the softer springs and also saved a few grands. i prefer the dark chrome accents to the chrome in the luxury versions. the build quality is great and has an almost silent ride on the road. i’m also not a fan of the ML audio i noticed the standard pioneer had better midrange and bass audio, in fact they get two 6x9 door speakers which are massive. the factory base pioneer amplifier is also easy to replace if you ever want to upgrade. i do miss out on the triple beams tho which look amazing, but the bi Leds are some of the brightest lights i’ve seen.
Im in the same boat except im looking for a '22 es300h ultra luxury. I like the f sport but the ultra luxury comes with a rear and side sunshades and has the brown interior that I really like. it also comes with the same active dampers that are on the f sport so i feel im not losing too much aside from styling
also I had a friend that got an es250 last year and his dealer installed an LS-style grille so depending on the dealer they might be able to install the F Sport grille + wheels for an added cost

55K for a FWD based car is wacky. with the Integra type S or the ES. It's a great car that is totally worth the 30-35K for a 3 year old off lease example. For 55K new for a ultra I can just get a Audi and a warranty.
It's def a lot of money for sure I just think it's worth it for those who seek a flagship 6 figure experience to get this for half the money and maybe like $5k off with discounts and incentives

It's hides it's FWD architecture well on a nice dry day. But as soon as it's windy it gets blown around on the highway just like my little TSX used to. As soon as it's raining those front wheel light right up trying to make a left turn. IMO Great used buy for ~ 30K for a off lease one I see them go for, not for a new one though, 55K for a FWD based car is crazy.

@@barbecuetechtips6024 IME it's a symptom of being a FWD based chassis. I loved the ES Fsport I took home from work, I was considering trading my IS for it. All the way up till it was a rainy windy day; I was spinning tire all over the place just tooting around, and getting blown around on the highway/bridge like a kite. My lighter IS was stable as could be on a windy day, that ES was far from that. And that's been my personal experience throughout a couple of different cars; FWD based chassis have inherent down sides like that. There is a reason real top end luxury cars are RWD based.
ES is great for what it is. The hybrid is my pick but needs AWD. I love the way it handles but the ride for the Ultra Luxury trim is quite stiff. I would prefer it to be cushy soft and not feel the bumps. Canadian here. It needs softer springs to my liking. What do you think? ES is supposed to cater traditionally to Lincoln Town Car or older folks. It's lost that butter ride of yore :(

The ES has had a structural rear-seat brace rather than a fold-down seatback for over 30 years. They'll continue to not notice your absence from the showroom.

Trying to buy a 2022 model year. First year refresh before they ruined the es by ditching the CD player, aux audio input and touchpad.

The hybrid version is my favorite. Only time it falls short is on wot. Eve this not flooring it often.

ES is great for what it is. The hybrid is my pick but needs AWD. I love the way it handles but the ride for the Ultra Luxury trim is quite stiff. I would prefer it to be cushy soft and not feel the bumps. Canadian here. It needs softer springs to my liking. What do you think? ES is supposed to cater traditionally to Lincoln Town Car or older folks. It's lost that butter ride of yore :(

Excavly the point. Iny opinon there os no longer , or perhaps never was, a reaosn thay a 100s thousands Euro car is justified when Lexus and others make this for this money.

The ES has had a structural rear-seat brace rather than a fold-down seatback for over 30 years. They'll continue to not notice your absence from the showroom.
If you need the rear seat to fold down , bye an SUV .
