      Yes ! I’m 58 and I feel the same way. Too many years of owning German (Audi and VW) cars and Volvos. These all have issues and headaches as they get older. Lexus/Toyota have the best quality and won’t bankrupt you. I even sold my 2013 es350 to buy my current 2002 es300. Didn’t want a high monthly payment, now I have no payment with all the luxury and refinement I need

    I’m a car enthusiast but now also a dad and the Lexus ES F Sport is the car that made me switch from my Infiniti QX70 which I loved. What made me change was Luxury with awesome F Sport looks, good tech including driver assistance and room for 2 car seats and most importantly it runs on regular fuel and is so inexpensive to own. I love Lexus approach of blending of luxury and tech while sticking to Toyota roots simplicity, durability and reliability. As always another great video my friend

    As someone who does a lot of work on cars, foreign and domestic, every time I see a japanese badge on a car that comes in, I always feel a breath of relief. Working on japanese cars is simple, whether it be doing suspension repairs like replacing a control arm or replacing the valve cover, I never had to step back from the car in frustration. Toyota makes there cars with the intention of having a long life span. I've never been underneath a car of another brand and had the same feeling.

    • @tonysterbenc
      @tonysterbenc Рік тому +3

      @@dm17nc17 I own an Ultra Luxury. The big items are the leather, additional soundproofing, the 360 parking cameras, and the rear sunshade, plus the fact that most of the Ultra Luxurys are coming off the line with the other options that are available on paper from other trim levels but often aren't in the actual cars, like the Mark Levinson and the triple beam headlights. I'd encourage you to decide whether those individual items are worth it to you -- for me, the leather and the best stereo were on my personal must list, so it was a no-brainer. If not, don't pay extra, because Savagegeese for one felt that the base with a few options (wood-trim Premium Package, Levinson) is a much better value for money.

Yes, there are times where I would love to be able to carve winding roads with a car with more dynamic controls. However, those opportunities are rare. As I get older, I am appreciating the ride comfort of this daily driver. My 2015 model has absolutely no issues. I have a 2023 ES 300h Luxury. It's perfect. I just got it recently and I have about 800 miles on it and I'm still on my SECOND TANK OF GAS!! I'll have to put my 3rd tank of regular gas into it when we take a long trip this weekend. I never could see the point of putting high octane fuel into a car that runs down the same roads and follows the same traffic laws as everyone else. I don't have that FSport chain link fence grille. I think the standard grill looks really good on this car. The swooping contours of the standard grille look really good in the thimble design. The car is very quiet. It's hard to know if the engine is running or not--who cares! It has all the speed I need to run, merge and pass on the interstates. I considered a lot of different cars before choosing this one and I'm pleased that I made the right choice for me.

    I truly enjoy your channel and reviews. I'm old, so I want my cd player. I don't understand the new technology. I love my 07 Avalon. After all these years I've only put 91k miles on her. When I raise the hood there's a battery right there where it should be. It looks good, no giant grill, no black wheels. It's quiet and very comfortable. I have a friend who is 6'4" tall and has plenty of head and leg room in the back seat. Most importantly to me is how completely dependable she's been. I'm a stickler for routine maintenance. I live in the south so rust is not an issue. When I bought her I had no intention of keeping her long term, now I've decided to keep her as long as I continue to drive. At some point I will pass her on to someone in the family.

    The debate over the ever-growing Lexus grill makes one ponder a larger question... Why have true bumpers disappeared from vehicles over the last 40 years? Cars used to have much more physical separation between front bumpers and grills and rear bumpers and tailgates / liftbacks / trunks and quarter panels. Yea, this streamlined the look of the car and aerodynamics but now ANY front or rear collision - even a minor tap - is a $3500 repair rather than a swap of a bumper cover. No need to wonder why car insurance costs have skyrocketed.
