    Got to watch him play at Indian Wells in 2019 against Milos Raonic and he’s such a smooth striker of the ball and moves so well around the court! Marcos and Milos are actually set to play at the Paris Indoor Masters. Hopefully this stick and the new goatee gets him another “W”! great video TW!

    Good specs for him, just under 6ft tall, and a MGR/I
    value of 20.85, recoil weight 164. solid !
    the only thing that is puzzling is the SW, maybe that is unstrung? with the stock sw of 325, I highly doubt that amount of tungsten is going to slightly boost the SW. Yonex is highly unlikely to be that out of whack and underspec. Also the placement in the TW warehouse the lead is ar 12, his is at 10 and 2........

    • @MikeSmith-yy1lv
      @MikeSmith-yy1lv 3 роки тому

      Yeah, there were two shots of the racquet. One showed weight at 12 and the other showed weight at 10 and 2. Would like to understand more about where and how much weight exactly he puts on his racquet. That SW seems low.

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  3 роки тому +2

      @@MikeSmith-yy1lv, That particular racquet he was using had TW Tungsten strips, 4 total, and if you look at the close-up of the video you can see they ran from about the 3rd cross string from the top, down to about the 8th cross from the top. I believe most of of the other weight was inside the handle. The other racquet with the weight at the tip, was one that I customized to his spec, and just needed a bit of weight at the tip to get the swingweight to match. Hope that helps. Troy, TW

      While Yonex may have the highest quality control of any racquet manufacturer, the racquets they produce still aren't always completely identical. It's no surprise the tungsten strips had to be placed in slightly different places to have matched specs.

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  3 роки тому

      @@JW-bw8nj, our TW playtest racquet was one that was given to us to hit with, so possibly like a demo. I know that our hitter, had different stock specs than the ones that Marcos recieved, although when our customization guy added weight to his racquets, they we all pretty much the same stock starting spec. Maybe our hitter, because it wasn't pulled from our warehouse inventory, and it may have been a demo, that it was of spec, or what not. Anyway, Yonex QC seems to be very good based on our history of customizing and matching racquets for customers over the years. Troy, TW

      @@tenniswarehouse I don't doubt that, Troy. I was just pointing something out to the people that incorrectly assume that every Yonex racquet leaves the factory with perfect, exact specs. They may be the best of the best, but they're not perfect, and to reach a desired spec, weight may have to be added in slightly different places.

      We did the small spacing or gap between the strips at 12 o'clock, just to make space for the mount on the electronic stringing machine that we used to string the racquet. Other than that, there was no functional or performance reason. Troy, TW
