I hate people telling me why is you getting “fixed” instead of your husband?! You just said it! “Because it’s my body! and I’m the one who doesn’t want to have more kids” thank you so much for this video and congrats!
This is exactly the video I needed to see. I haven’t had children, I don’t want children of my own and with what’s going on in the Untitled States, I don’t want to risk a forced pregnancy. Thank you for this honest video!
Get it done. I haven't had children either. I'm getting mine done Friday. I'm extremely scared and also excited. I don't ever want bio kids so tubal is my go to. There are complications, look them up to be prepared and know what to look for and tell your doctor asap if you experience any strange symptoms afterwards.
Currently pregnant with baby #4 and absolutely FING miserable and I never wanna be pregnant again! Period! Having my 3rd c section in 5 weeks and getting a tubal ligation I already signed the paperwork! 👏🏼 Girl I am done 😮💨 momma can’t take no more. Thank you for this information!❤
I’m laying in bed watching this video while recovering after my surgery that happened yesterday 😅 I am 27 and have no kids. I’ve been on birth control for 12 years and needed to give my body a rest and kids were never in my future. I’m feeling great so far and I’m so glad I did it. I laughed when you said you don’t remember going to the OR because me either 😂 I was in my bed with my IV and the nurse came in to give me medication through my IV and said it would make me feel “drunk” and then they would be back to get me to take me back and next thing I know I’m in a different room and they’re telling me it went well, I was like huh 😂😂
Just get pregnant with my fourth i am so done... My mind going crazy because I was doing the calendar thing and got pregnant my daughter on 19 months old... My body tired I will get out for sure... My first soon to 14, i have a 10 year old and my third is 19months... All my life I keep taking care kids and can't never finish what I started..... So yeah no doubt about it I will get fallopian tubes cut or burned don't care i just want to be over with it.
I’m having mine done this morning. I have no kids and over time realized it’s not for me for so many reasons. I found a doctor that took what I said seriously and didn’t question me about my choice. I’m nervous but excited 🎉
I had my tubes cut yesterday. I don't have any children, because what's happening in womens rights. I get the strange looks all the time, because I'm 40 with no kids. Everyone I know who has kids are so stressed out. I want women to be able to make their own choice.
No man has seduced me! I don’t like men but if u gonna be an escort always use long term and patch birth prevention 💯 Test often and! Use cervical caps
@@guerlaavilus DONT DO IT, my mom did that 30 years ago, there are many side effects doctors don't tell you about tying your tubes can lead to hormonal imbalance as your tubes create progesterone which your body needs to stay hormonally balanced with out it you are more likely to develop cancer or other diseases, you will also decreases your blood flow in that area which can create quads and back ups in the blood. Doctors only test the short-term effects they never test long-term effects of what happens when you tie your tubes. Never do anything surgically to your body, its there for a reason and has what kept our species alive for thousands of years. Tying the tubes has contributed to my mom's weight gain, autoimmune disease, breast cancer and hormonal imbalance .
I have a 20 year old son and knew 15 years ago, that I wasn’t having anymore children. I just had mine removed three days ago. In a bit of discomfort but I have zero regrets.
Just got mine done today! I feel so free and in control of my fertility. It's not even that painful, only when I get up from bed do I feel it but I'm glad I got it cause the iud almost killed me so this was definitely the way to go.
Glad to hear you feel so positive afterwords, I have mine next week, and I’m not sure how I’ll feel afterwards, hopefully I’ll feel free and in control also, I just know I want off birth control! I definitely want control over my body again. I’m tired of all the hormones! Thanks for sharing your experience/feelings. It helps put me at ease
Oh wow I have the IUD and yes the pain is definitely painful every month. I'm looking into getting it out and getting my tubes tied. Glad you had a good experience 😂
I just had my third child and I got it done after my c section. My question is. Do you still have to use protection while being intimate. I feel so strange not worrying about it. Thank you for your time.
I needed that “don’t listen to your friends” after my prayer time with God tonight. I really don’t want kids. I’ll adopt or even foster but the reasons why i don’t want kids is something ppl who do want kids would NEVER understand. I’ve learned to be quiet & not tell people my moves. As long as me & God locked in with my decision, I’m good❤️🫶🏾
I love the positivity in this video you’re so calm and it makes me feel so much better about doing it, and you know what yes I agree with you on “don’t listen to your friends” it’s your decision and no one else is gonna carry the baby for you
I feel free as well! I got my tubes removed today and I feel great. A little bit of a sore throat because of being intubated and a mild shoulder/back pain but other than that the pelvic pain is tolerable and feels like menstrual cramping. Also had my Nexplanon removed, so yay! No more hormones in my body!! Tried convincing my husband to get a vasectomy but him being a Mexican macho (except when it comes to medical procedures), he bluntly said NO. Either way I took another one for the team but it was necessary since having complicated pregnancies but we are more than blessed for having our girl and our boy. Ladies, always put God first and be in prayer. That helped a lot while being by myself before, during and after the procedure. Y'all be blessed!!!
I had a tubal ligation at 18 after having one child. Some slight regrets over the years but it was the right decision. My stomach muscles hurt afterwards from being "inflated" for visualization but that was it.
I'm 25 and I have my appt to get my tubes removed in a little over a month. And this has been so amazing to watch and hear someone else's experience!! Thank you so much!!! I'm so excited to not get pregnant again. I have two kids myself a 6 year old boy and 2 year old girl. I'm good.
I got mine out at 27, no kids, don't want any. Birth control was always a nightmare, every one of them. Tried them all. After the procedure, i have felt terrible. But I hope I'm just healing and it gets better. Maybe mourning my lost fertility. Period absolutely too heavy. But they did find endo, another great positive to my procedure.
@@Sarahizahhsum what do you mean them finding ends was a great positive to the procedure? I have endometriosis and I don’t know if it’s advisable to have the procedure done if you have it. Can you please let me know about your experience
Thank you. I’m 26 no husband no kid. I not want to ever get pregnant. I want adopt. With everything going on I don’t wanna risk a forced pregnancy. I’m doing this alone n I’m so nervous
@@cookiemonster-kg8yi I was feeling great after two weeks but took maybe three ish but a full recovery. I was walking around just fine in about two days but didn’t do anything extra
awww oh honey you’re so young why don’t you wait till at least 30. When I hit 30 it’s like something shifted. I had my first daughter at 21 and raising her alone by 22. And I was done done done done no way in hell I was ever going to have more kids no way. and at 35 I met the love of my life a good man we have two beautiful baby girls and I couldn’t imagine my life without them. I mean who else is gonna wipe your booty or take care of you when you’re old you need at least one. I know at 26 we think we got it all figured out but I will least wait till you’re 30. But hey I might be hated on for this comment but I think back to when my grandma passed away. And you know who were around her saying her goodbyes? Not her friends, not her nieces or nephews, her kids. I hope this brings some insight.
They denied me when I was 22 , I wanted it right after I gave birth 😩 … lady said your still young you might want more 😩 I’m 31 now , and still want it done.
Usually by baby #2 you know if you want more. I had 2 boys and a girl and I knew I was done. I told my husband we're done and 2 months later had my tubes removed. I'm just enjoying being free of the synthetic hormones. The recovery was easier than I thought honestly I was out shopping the following day.
I had mine done today. I have 4 kids - 16👧🏽, 14👦🏽, 3👦🏽, 2m👧🏽. I have minimal period like cramping. I'm able to walk, stretch and bend over with no pain. Sent pics to family/friends that have had it done, and they were impressed with how unnoticeable the incisions were...stated I should heal nicely. Glad I decided to get it done
This is literally my story 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I had my surgery yesterday I was laughing too. Like i tried to stay up and i remember the exact same thing being rolled out and woke up coughing. Like thank God i woke up.
I got mine removed 2 days ago and I’m soooo sore but I’m 26 with 4 kids and I’m so done .... they do slow you down and that catchup game gets exhausting. Best decision I made
I am pregnant with my fourth now😩 how did your surgery go? Have you experienced any symptoms since you had them done? I want to get mines done but the reviews of ppl that said they experienced the worst symptoms possible since having them done keeps making me second guess
I’m 25 with four kids I don’t feel they slow you down but I do feel like it’s lots of kids at 25 and I have one girl and 3 boys so I’m set I just don’t want to have to worry about getting pregnant no more
I just got mine done ✅ I’m a single mother , and after this last pregnancy ,and being high risk . I decided to have no more kids . Soo I’m with u 100 percent .
Currently 17 weeks & that's exactly how I feel rn!! I tell my friends that I will never be that chipper pregnant woman. I love my babies but hate being pregnant esp this time around. I was sick & bed bound for practically the entire first trimester. So I hope my doctor's ok me to get it once I have this last one 🤞🏽
Pregnant now 25 weeks, this is #3 and luckily my husband and I got our girl after having our boys. So she has sealed the deal and I'm done being the baby factory! The boys are 11 and 9, this is it for us! We had our boys young and waited 8 years before we decided on another. Im now 31, hubby is almost 33! I signed the consent yesterday at my appt. Tubal ligation on the way 🙌🏾
Thank you for sharing your experience my tubal ligation is scheduled for April 6th. I have four children my last was a boy, 3 boys and one girl. I'm 28. 9,5,3, and almost 4weeks. I am sad I didn't have a little girl as my last but I don't want to be pregnant again to try for one. I am grateful for the fertility God gave me, and I wish I could give it to another woman.
I'm going for my tubal tomorrow 12/20/21. Surgery is at 730a cst. I'm so scared, but anxious at the same time, for a few of the same reasons you stated. I too have been on some sort of BC since about 15. I'll be 40 in March & since 19yrs old I've had the 5yr Mirena IUD. I scheduled this back in June & have been fine with doing this for the past 8yrs. Now that the day has come...I legit cried about it. I mean...cried so much, I couldn't do my job. Going back & forth w/knowing it's what I wanna do & knowing that it's a permanent decision. I've never been married & dating has been a nightmare & I've raised my 2 kids (21 & 10) all on my own which has been nothing but emotional. So the thought of doing that again, I can't even fathom, yet I feel like once It's all said & done I'll meet a guy who's gonna be EVERYTHING I've always wanted/needed, but I won't be enough for him b/c I won't be able to give him a kid. This is emotional for me to type. I'm literally sitting in my basement crying b/c I dont want my daughter (10) to see me, & I hate my basement. Nonetheless, I'm glad I watched your video b/c when I broke down, I felt like I was the only person who feels emotional about it before its actually done. I also have severe anxiety (on meds for it) so I'm not exactly sure if its my anxiety playing on my emotions or just me being emotional in general. Either way, although I cried while watching, I ❤ & appreciate you for sharing your experience in this matter. It helps me. Thank you - Long distance hug -
I had my daughter in july and im getting my tubes removed at the end of this month. Watching this helps me prepare with whats going to happen. Thank you.
It’s the same for me everyone tells me not to do it but I know in my heart I don’t want any it stresses me out to much on a listen with a bunch of other things
I felt that when you said you said bye to your family and you don’t remember anything after that but being in recovery same here. I was easy. They gave me IBUPROFEN and PEROCETS . I said to my husband I am not taking that addictive medication. IBUPROFEN for me and that’s it. Thanks for the video it helps a lot.
So glad I found your video, I just did mine today and I feel exactly how you feel... free. Don’t have to worry about birth control anymore. I also have two kids 9 and 2 and I don’t want to go tru the discomfort and sleepless night ever again. My husband had a had an appointment too but I just figure let me take control for me. Best decision I every made and I don’t think I will regret it ever, my 2 years old son is a lot to deal with and my daughter is independent I can’t see adding another on top of that. Great video it made my day 😘
I had people say the exact same things to me!!! I had so many issues with my last pregnancy my 2 boys are 11 years apart but I am happy with 2 so today I got my tubal ligation done and don’t think I’m gonna regret it at all.
Got mine removed in June.. I was definitely out before getting to the OR lol that free feeling is so worth it! My throat was sore for a few days but no real pain at the incision sites…
Hi I so agree with u I have for kids a 19 yr old, 17yr old,13yr old n my 10month by girl n I jst had the same procedure done today not so much pain jst discomfort but I’m so glad I got it done. I think us women know when we r done having kids n it’s time to enjoy my little n mine n husband life I have no regrets so lady’s we can do it love your video I so relay to it 🙏
Congratulations! I'm going in to have my tubes removed today! I'm done having children I have a total of 3. I might record and upload my experience. God bless you all and may the love of Jesus Christ be with you all. Whatever situation you're facing just know that everything will work out just fine and God is with you on your journey(Jesus will never leave nor forsake you)💕 FOR ME GETTING MY TUBES REMOVED IS SOMETHING I MUST DO(no more babies for me). Life is complicated having 3 children and I'm not ready to have 4+ so while I have the control to stop having children I'm going to take this opportunity now. God bless you all. God's Will is perfect and he is always on time and the removal of my tubes came right on time I thank God for saving me because gettting my tubes removed today is my way of being saved by God he'll never put more on you then you can bare. I'm going into my appointment today feeling thankful for the opportunity to have a permanent birth-control. Your video has definitely helped and encouraged me to move forward in my journey being obedient to God whom I believe created this moment of my tubes being removed today and I'm grateful for that. Fear holds us back from things we need to do but I'm not going to let fear stop me from doing what I know I need to do and that is getting my tubes removed.
I'm glad I could help! I agree with everything you said about fear. Your so right! How was your surgery? Did everything go okay? I pray you have a speedy recovery!!!
@@TaliahJenee sorry I got my appointments mixed up my surgery to get my tubes removed is actually tomorrow morning... I'm prepared for it and I hope it goes well with a speedy recovery aswell thanks❗
Yessss sis !! Amen to that and yes thank you Jesus for this opportunity, he knows how much we can take ! There are some women who can have children back to back and are okay with it and God bless them ! But then there’s me and women like me who the Lord knows I can only take what I have on my plate right now ! I’ve called my insurance and they cover the procedure 100% and that’s my sign from God that this is meant to be . I have to get off the birth control I’m starting to lose my hair and I’m only 27 ! Plus the weight gain and horrible mood swings and chemicals in my body is just unnatural ! God bless you all !!
@@jesuschristislordofmeandmy5122 how are you feeling 2 yrs later? My main concern is will having my tubes removed affect my high sex drive & cause any kind of prolapsing with uterus, bladder etc?. Take care!
I love the truth in your voice , I'm 29 yrs old no kids and I can't wait to get this procedure done just like you stated kids do slow you down I don't wait for no boby . This really helped, especially now with this political climate. My fiance wants to get fixed to , guuurrl men take there sweet time. Thank you again.
I'm getting mine done on Wednesday! I'm super nervous but excited! Thank you for this I was a little nervous about pain but now I feel a lot less nervous about it!
I just had mine removed today. It’s honestly not nearly as bad as I thought it would be!!! No kids for me currently and now no kids for me in the future.I’m happy :) good luck to you ebelle you got this girl ! Danielle if you’re considering it then you should do it for sure,it’s a relief not having to worry anymore
I am getting my tubes removed on May 21st and I can not wait! We have two daughters, 11 and 4 1/2, I am done! I am focused on my career and enjoying life with my husband and daughters...plus I am DONE with taking birth control!
So my doctors are forcing me to get my tubes removed this Friday due to all my chronic medical conditions they don't want me passing away like I almost did when pregnant with my only daughter and I was so nervous but girl, you made me feel SO MUCH BETTER!! Thank you for sharing !!
@@MethodiousMind yes. I was forced to get this done because my numerous doctors said I will die if I am pregnant again and won't last the 1st month of pregnancy so it was either get this done or die.

@@kelsl96NO REGRETS whatsoever!! It's been 2 1/2 months and so far so good!! I did noticed since then my cycle is a little heavier than before and would only last two days each month (and I can dig that lol). My cramping did get a little intense at times and I went to my obgyn outta concerns with previous issues I had with fibroids and everything was fine. Are you considering the procedure?? If so, I highly recommend it if you know for sure that this is a permanent decision ur comfortable with.
@@joi2theworld33 thanks for the response! Yes, I was approved and my tubal ligation is scheduled for July 8th! I’m very excited to get off birth control since I’ve been on it since i was a teenager.
@@kelsl96 You're welcome!! I'm excited for you as well!! I've dealt with BC pills, shots and the IUDs. Either I would forget to take the pills, gained weight from the shots or dealt w/painful sex from the IUD being embedded and going through changes with hormones. I think you'll be happy with ur decision and I pray that your procedure goes over smoothly and safely as mine did❤
@kybeast I had them taken out, I had no more use for them lol, but my cycle is a lot heavier and the cramping gets so intense. I thought it would've change eventually or ease up a lil, but it's been a year and it's still 2 or 3 days of heavy menstruation for me which is fine by me BTW. It's 2 frigging days, I can handle that
Thanks so much for making this video and sharing your journey. I’m so happy for you and your continued health, and I also must say that I cant thank you enough for the warmth and acceptance that shines throughout this video of supporting a woman’s choice over her own reproductive health. I am 26 and recently had this done with no past pregnancies/children. I just always knew that I wanted to be child free. Some have been quite rude to me in making this decision, but I feel so free and optimistic about the future now that I know it is officially mine to fully plan out. Zero regrets, so much relief. Thanks again for this wonderful video, and I hope you stay happy and healthy!
I just had mine done yesterday. I was nervous but I totally agree. My experience was great and the worse part has been the soreness in my throat. I’m 39 with a 12 year old and grown bonus babies. I DID NOT WANT TO START OVER lol.
Thank you. Working on making my own decision with how to go forward. I’m scared of surgery but I have no doubts about anything else. Looking for real experiences and maybe some encouragement that I can get through this and be better on the other side of it by keeping this promise to myself and what I know I want for myself to my core. This helps.
Wow, you sound exactly like me! I'm due to have my tubes removed on May 9th. I finally found a doctor who was completely understanding and super sweet and I feel comfortable with him performing the surgery on me. I myself also have 2 boys and of course, others have tried to convince us to try for a girl but just like you said, we can't control that and at the end of the day, having a 3rd child is a lot.(Finactially, physically, etc.) We are perfectly content with the 2 that we have and want/need to focus on the little ones we do have now as well as ourselves. My husband also mentioned getting a vasectomy but its been almost 5 years now since our second was born and he hasn't made any moves on taking that step so I decided to take it upon myself to make sure I cannot get pregnant again. Thank you for this video❤
I'm getting mine done on the June 14th & I'm so scared because I've never had surgery or put under anesthesia. I'm glad to have came across this video, it helps ease me a little bit.
I had mine today, same here when the anesthesiologists was wheeling me next thing I knew I woke up in the recovery room . Done done . I was like are you serious ? Is done ? They said yes and provided me with the images
I just had mine done yesterday! I’m 31. With one boy and one girl. The way you described your procedure experience was just like mine as well as why you decided to do the procedure. Thanks for sharing your honest views !!!
Can you please let me know how you’re feeling today ? Have you experienced any loss of libido? Hair loss ? Bloating ? Mental health issues since then ? Thank you for sharing your experience, I’m going for mine the 29th of this month
@@analisemarieluna5685 honestly for the first few weeks I did experience bloating! Also the first 2 months I was not able to really sleep on my stomach or sides whenever i would wake up I would have to wait a moment to move because I would feel like a I would say cramping type of sensation I think it was just the weight of my body but I can sleep any position now with no problem. The little scars also have gone away they did get itchy but just keep the area moisturized and the areas will feel like a bruise . Also my doctor recommended no heavy lifting over 20 pounds for at least 1 month . As far as loss in libedo and mental issues I would say no ? I have personally been under a lot of stress since the surgery bc I had another surgery a month later (pilonidal cyst surgical procedure) plus moving and new baby and returning to work but I don’t believe it’s related to getting my tubes cut. My boyfriend and I have enjoyed our “alone time” together and honestly don’t feel changes in libido. I actually got pregnant while on depo and this was another reason why I got the surgery because I was just so surprised and shocked that it just made me not trust birth control anymore!!Hope this helps ?!
@@angelasantos2972 omg thank you soo much for the fast response, you’ve been through a lot , I hope all is well now ! Ugh I absolutely can not do the birth control thing anymore !! I was on depo from the end of June through September and it was hell on earth I felt crazy as hell ! , your response was much help also a sigh of relief , I know everyone’s experience Is different but I guess I’m just looking to hear experience, Nor much people share the experience of this surgery because a lot of women just have theirs tied not complete removal .
@@analisemarieluna5685 yes definitely doing well now !! Have had no problems and also I should mention that my periods have seemed to be normal as well so far . I’m sure you are going to be on anesthesia? Just get plenty of rest that day I think it takes an hour or so for the procedure. I also asked my doctor how likely it is for someone to get pregnant again after this and she said it was “very low” I believe there is a 1%chance of an ectopic pregnancy but she said back in the day it was more common for pregnancy to happen because women would get there tubes tied and not cut /removed so that gave me some peace of mind . Also it may seem scary just the thought of never being able to have more kids anymore after this and at the end of the day you have to think about what is best for your family. I had a friend that told me she would never do it because it would make her feel less of a woman and people are always going to have there own opinion but you have to make the best choice for you . Children are beautiful but no one knows your own Situation such as the financial aspect ,daycare prices , quality time to spent with your kids just to name a few. And yes omg depo does make you crazy I’m glad you mentioned this !!! It makes you lash out at people it’s just not good !!!! But yes you should not have to feel pressured to do this it’s something that you decide for your self for your body and your well being !!
I'm so glad I seen this video, everyone has been telling me not to do it. That the pain is horrible, I have 4 boys and a baby girl on the way. I'm done, done, but people were scaring me pretty much everyone said it's very painful and hard to recover. The only one that told me to go ahead was my mom, she got it done, she says recovery takes a little longer, And painful but worth it. So after I delivery baby girl in 2 weeks, I'll have it done the next day. I also told hubby that he needs to get a vasectomy after too, that it's not fair for only me to get it done.
Omg im glad im only seeing comments saying they did it and they are fine . I Have been told you sex drive is not the same 😬 and i started doubting it Im 4 weeks pregnant with a surprise baby so Im def. Going to do it since im going to get a c section.
Thank you for sharing! I’m getting mine done tomorrow morning and I’ve been a little nervous. Me and my husband together we have 2 boys and 2 girls. I hated being pregnant as well. I will be happy when I feel that sign of relief as well not having to worry about getting pregnant again!

I get mines done tomorrow best decision I'm making I have 3 boys, two are twins, and a girl now I'm done. Ages are 10,7 7 & 6 month's. I want to live my life I'm 28.
I got my tubes removed last Tuesday. I have 4 children! Lol same here on the anesthesia...I was like, "wow". My throat was AWFUL girl for about 4 days and it looked bad too! I had a reaction to the anesthesia and couldn't breath, so they gave me oxygen and administerd meds to open up my throat through my IV. So they kept me a couple of hours longer in recovery for observation. Everything else went well and I am glad I did it...the Mirena and I didn't mix. I'm trying to get back into my weight loss journey, but it kind of hurts to do my regular workouts, so I'll have to start by walking in my neighborhood in about a week or so.
Im glad everything else went okay for you. Yea, Im just now getting on this weightless journey. It's so hard. But, don't push yourself to hard, take it easy.
I just had mine done today! While I was in preop they gave me something to calm my nerves, and after that I don't remember anything besides waking up in recovery🤣

Good for you! And it does make you feel like a free woman. I’m married for 14 years 38 years old and I have a 11 year old girl and a 8 year old boy. I had my tube removed yesterday and I’m am just happy and the recovery is going smooth thanks for your video and good luck 👍 with your new found piece of freedom.
Mom of 5...1 boy 4 girls and I agree. I'm so done being pregnant, don't want anymore kids. Got my procedure done yesterday and I promise she's 100% about everything. All I remember is being wheeled in the OR and then waking up in recovery. Throats a little sore from tube and stomachs a bit tender but other than that I feel fine. Definitely glad I got it done.
Love your vid. Yes, don't listen to your friends, it's your body, your decision. I'm getting mines done in 3 weeks. I have 3 kids and I'm done, plus I'm older so no more baby.

Girl it's hard work! Definitely do what's best for you...(I'm looking into this as well. ) but I'm sure you are a better momma than you are giving yourself credit for. Health and happiness!!!
Thankyou for your video! I’ve been thinking of this for awhile. I’m currently pregnant with my second and only want two children. I also, never used birth control and don’t plan on using still. I’m scared of the surgery but it’s my responsibility to this knowing I don’t want any more children. The scar tissue and pain aftermath worries me because I love to run and exercise. My sister always has been wanting to get permanently sterilized since she was 21 but the doctors wouldn’t let her. Now I’m 25 and my sister is 24. We both knew at young ages if we wanted children or not. I’m glad women are getting permanently sterilized when they don’t want children it’s very responsible and you don’t have to take birth controls that’s are toxic to your body. ❤
Your life story is literally mines. My husband was gonna get the vasectomy but he had to deal wit his insurance and I was already set I had got an IUD removed bec I kept getting infections, and scheduled an appointment to get my tubes removed and as of yesterday 2/17 they are out of there😂... Thank you so much for this video, I'm getting the same procedure done next week. I was so nervous until I saw this. The medical team will have you nervous telling you you 24hr care and supervision etc... so thank you😊
THANK YOU for this. I'm setting mine up, and looking for all kinds of real experiences. You have no idea how valuable this is to some of us. I WANT TO BE FREE, TOO. Again, gracias, beautiful! Health and happiness for you, and yours. ❤
@@jorod5816 - great! The first two days, you're dealing with the soreness, but honestly I've had periods that hurt more. It's a challenge to sleep, if you're prone to side sleeping, but I got pain pills for 10 days, didn't really need them. Peeing right after hurt, cause of the catheter. Tummy was a bit bloated. I had to get up tenderly, from the bed. By day 5 I was walking around, doing chores. Dude, I don't regret ONE BIT. It's liberating. The birth was fucking me up for years.
@@jorod5816 - my insurance covered everything except for the co-pay visits, and $340 for something with the anesthesiologist. It goes under preventative care, and the surgery bill was over $14,000, and I only paid what I had to pay, out if it. This is Kaiser, though. Went in at 6am, in surgery by 9:30am. Done quickly, went home at 3pm
I agree with the husband part! My husband offered to do it. But honestly, the procedure itself is easy but the wait period to be cleared is at least 12 weeks. 12 more weeks of worry and me taking birth control. I didn’t wanna wait any longer. Plus, doing it myself will give me more peace of mind. And I didn’t ever wanna feel responsible I fb he regretted his decision.
Thank you so much for this video even though I stay Praying but I needed to see this. I been so indecisive about getting my tubes removed or getting another iud which wasn't the best for my body at all. I have 2 daughters 6 and 4 Thank God I was able to have them. I'm so high risk when I'm pregnant. I just got the iud removed due to it causing a cyst I ended up pregnant but had a miscarriage recently. I know what I need to do but like you said listening to friends will talk you out of it. But I have to do what's best for my health. My few friends keep pushing the issue as well saying why can't he get a vasectomy why the women always have to take charge. But he's not comfortable with going under. My doctor said he can remove my tubes August 18th I didn't ok it yet but I definitely will now. Again Thank you so much for this video and Thank you to all the other women that commented there experience. God Continue to Bless Us All 🥰
I hate people telling me why is you getting “fixed” instead of your husband?!

Thank you

Had mine done this week and I only have 1 kid. 1 and done! Relieved!!
Me too!! I feel like having one child is a lifestyle choice.. that kid grows up and your free to continue to live your own life.. it’s a nice feeling.
Me tooo guys 😭
Me too. I get mine done Wednesday I'm nervous as crap tbh.
I got my tubes tied and feel great. I had pain right after but I don’t regret it.
3 days post op and i am so happy!! I’m so glad i did it! 35 and I’m done no more! Hubby is so paranoid he’s gonna get a vasectomy too lol
Have you had any side effects from it?
😂😂❤
Score, lol!!
I just had my tubes removed and so happy with my decision my owe personal journey like you stated in the video i totall agree
Are you in a lot of pain?
I myself also have 2 boys and of course, others have tried to convince us to try for a girl but just like you said, we can't control that and at the end of the day, having a 3rd child is a lot.(Finactially, physically, etc.)
We are perfectly content with the 2 that we have and want/need to focus on the little ones we do have now as well as ourselves.
Praying for you may God keep you🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
How did it go?
I feel you I’m on 3 boys I’m done I’m over being pregnant I can’t stand this lol 😆 trust me I know how you feel lol 😆
I’m excited to get mines done next month on the 28th! I have 3 kids 2 boys 1 girl and I’m going to be 30 next year I feel ready 🙌🏻
I have mine the 17th how are you feeling as the date gets closer?
Also I just turned 30 I’m at the point in life where I’m ready to move forward you know ?
Get it done ✅
Thank you for sharing! I’m getting mine done tomorrow morning and I’ve been a little nervous. Me and my husband together we have 2 boys and 2 girls. I hated being pregnant as well. I will be happy when I feel that sign of relief as well not having to worry about getting pregnant again!
How has your recovery been since your surgery? I pray your doing well!
Do they put you to sleep?
Thank you so so much for this video!!!! Thia have given me so much clarity and confirmation that this is something that I want to do. I had a few fears as far as scarring and things like that but I know that this is something I want to do and so I'm so appreciative of your perspective and sharing your experience.
Thank you for posting getting mine removed tomorrow!! Mom of 5 that are 5 and under. 4 boys and a girl!! I’m definitely done.

Shanequa Wilmore wow! How are you doing?
Taliah Jenee thank you I’m feeling good!
I'm getting mine done next week. Not exactly nervous about it, but your video made me feel so much better! Thank you so much for sharing 🤗🤗🤗
I feel you thanks so much for confrimation!!! My oldest is 10 years old I started over with a 2 year old turned around February 2020 had my 6 month old and I am pregnant again due December 2020. I never want to be pregnant again and I have every right to feel that way. I'm trying to take care of this after I have this baby. I thank God I was able to reproduce but no more of this. It's waaaaaaay to much I'm 30 as well and have a little start over team of 3 God bless us
I’m so glad to hear this, I’m having mines removed on the 28 I have a boy and a girl. People always making comments
Turning 24 soon, no kids, just pets. I just finished my consultation and I’m ready to schedule just nervous cuz I’ve never had surgery before. Thank you for this ❤
Thanks for sharing. I’m almost 30 and have no interest in having children. I’ve been thinking about getting this surgery for some time.
I get mines done tomorrow best decision I'm making I have 3 boys, two are twins, and a girl now I'm done. Ages are 10,7 7 & 6 month's. I want to live my life I'm 28.
I'm 28 too 3 boys and one girl 9,5,3, and almost 4 weeks.
Have you had any hormonal changes since? I’m planning mine but keep hearing horror stories
@@dfishley1 Hard to tell because I feel like I was having some hormonal changes before then. No other issues.
I just had mine done today! While I was in preop they gave me something to calm my nerves, and after that I don't remember anything besides waking up in recovery🤣
I’m so ready for this!!! They are doing mines once they do my c section!!!
@Ivory Plaza yes I did. It went well. Wasn’t bad at all. Easiest operation. I had to go back another time and do mine.
This makes me feel so much better, I’m 26 with a nearly 7 year old and ever since she was born I knew I didn’t want anymore so this year I’m having my tubes removed, Just abit nervous as never been put under before!
I literally got mine done today well yesterday and all I remember was scooting from one bed to the next then I was waking up in recovery! I’m had baby #3 in September and I was like oh no Lord I’m done! So honey I feel you ‼️ Two boys and a Girl 11,3, and 2 months, yeah I’m good lol!
Sn: my oldest son’s name is Micah as well ❤️

Watching this for motivation because I’m having my surgery in 2 days 😲😲 I just had my #4 and we are done! It feels so liberating to know I won’t get pregnant again
Update?❣️
@@Thedirtylittletruth I had my surgery and I literally was back to my normal self within 4 days. So far so good
@@daughteroftheking9560 no I’ve been in good health! I did notice sometimes I skip periods and the next month it’s heavier than normal but nothing too serious 🥰
Have you had any hormonal changes since? I’m planning to have mine removed but I keep hearing horror stories and now I’m on the fence again
@@dfishley1 I had NO issues after surgery. My hormones stayed normal. I don’t have any issues with my cycles. Everything is normal. One of the best decisions I’ve made for my life 🥰
Im having my tubes removed next week and its something I wanted to do since my last pregnancy. I was one that listened to my friends. I had my first son in 2015. And twins in 2018(👼 👼) I had a girl in 2019. A boy in 2020 and just recently had another boy in 2022. Im done im like you I dont like being pregnant. Its a blessing but I find I have to many health problems while pregnant.( hypertension, gestation diabetes, and the body swelling is the worse).
Thanks for sharing your experience. ❤
Thank you for posting. Had me cracking up, putting me at ease a week before my surgery
I’m 32 I’ve never had children also not in a relationship right now but I know in my heart that I don’t want to ever be pregnant. I don’t feel like I need to remove my tubes but i love the fact that i have that option. I might adopt an older child one day tho. We’ll see.
Just had mines and I’m so sore and the meds are amazing for the pain!
Good on you girl for letting everyone know he offered as well. Mine is in three days. Watching this made me feel more comfortable.
Im happy you had a good experience. I’m getting mine done June 4th. Very exciting.
How did it go ?
I'm currently pregnant and my son is 4 about to be 5 and at first I was going to get them tied. But now hearing you getting the removed I think that's what I going to do. Thanks for the info 😊
What did you decide ?I only have one too and I don’t think I want more
Oh man, the only video with a positive recovery. All the other videos have been making me second guess doing this. Going in on the 23rd and still.planing on celebrating xmas eve and day
Same experience
Im on surgery day and I don't need the pain medication.
Im just a little swollen but can go around slowly...
Worth it.
Thank you so much!!! I’m glad your recovery is going well!!!
Thanks I’m getting mine done on Thursday
Wow I am a mom of 1 boy and 4 girls 🙌🏽🖤 Just got my procedure on Oct 13th

Love your vid. Yes, don't listen to your friends, it's your body, your decision. I'm getting mines done in 3 weeks. I have 3 kids and I'm done, plus I'm older so no more baby.
Exactly what I needed to see! My surgery is in a couple days and the nerves were starting to get to me 😅 You made me feel much better!
Let me say this cuz same! I go in tomorrow ..... Hope your doing great!
@@melissauknow5328 Thank you! I am doing great. Surgery went perfectly and I've recovered with minimal pain (first 2-3 days but meds help) and my tiny scars already blend in with my mama marks 🐅 Well wishes to you during yours!
@user-eg4sq8dn1h surgery went great! Was in pain mostly for the first 2 days.....back to work within that week!:) I'm healed completely now 3 weeks later :)
I got mine tied today. I'm experiencing a lot of cramping and vomiting. My stomach is also very sore . My pain level is about an 8
I have a 5 year old girl and a 2 month old boy..I’m so done having kids. I’m the worst at being pregnant 😂 I’m scheduling my tube removal TODAY. Great video, it was super helpful! Well wishes ❤️
Girl it's hard work! Definitely do what's best for you...(I'm looking into this as well. ) but I'm sure you are a better momma than you are giving yourself credit for. Health and happiness!!!
I gained so much weight from depo, just got my surgery Monday I’m feeling a lot better and free
Thanks for sharing your story. I dont want to remember anything about what happens.....im scared for tomorrow. Youve eased my mind!
Glad I could help! How are you feeling after your procedure?
@@TaliahJenee I feel fine today I'm just a little uncomfortable! :) thank you for checking! I was a nervous wreck! 😭😭
Thank you for this video 🙌 I’ve been so scared to get mine. I’m scheduled in two weeks but watching this calms my nerves a bit. Thank you 😊
How are you doing post surgery? Any symptoms?
Hey beautiful u r truly me lol. I’m almost 29 with an 11 year old and I perfectly fine with that. I get my surgery done on Monday🎉
I feel great I have 5 boys 1 girl I too tried for girls😂😂😂😂 I'm 38, I'm over done! I have a 23 yr old to a 3 yr old🙅🏾♀️😂😂 I too felt Freeee
Omgee I’m so excited to get mine done in the near future before summer. How did it go for you??
