This song was written by Tom Springfield, who also wrote "I'll Never Find Another You" for the Seekers. Tom is the brother of pop legend, Dusty Springfield. He and Dusty were the core of the pop group, the Springfields, which enjoyed modest success between 1960 and 1963. Tom also wrote "Georgy Girl" in collaboration with Jim Dale, which the Seekers sang for the movie of the same name, catapulting the group into the rarified air of super-stardom, and he wrote the lyrics for "The Carnival is Over," which sold over a million copies.

So very true. I am only 43 but have lived enough to see what we have come from to now. Times may have been tough. Mum never had much money, but she had her dignity and we were thankful for what we had. Now everything is instant gratification, and this generation seems to have no respect for anything, including their brothers and sisters and themselves. Everything is throw away, including babies. I shudder to think that these people will one day be our lawyers, doctors, teachers, judges and leaders.

It strikes me into realisation that there are simply going to be a lot of people continue their suffering and beyond. The amount of negative comments. The amount of self privilege, the amount of opinions of how others appear in clothing or fashion, the amount of things that are made in reference personally to me or in Gods name. Basically the amount of unGodly comments. The amount of dark opinions. The amount of judgement on others. Hatred.
Does someone’s haircut make who they are? Does someone’s personal experience they share with you a mark of their character? Does where someone comes from make them less worthy? Does what someone eats make them less Godly? Does the love of a child make them failures of the future?
I know I should avoid low level, low self esteem, low morals, low family value, low life scum who will never reach out a hand to pull someone up off the streets BUT these are the people that live in this society,
This is why there is much hidden racism. Hidden sexism, hidden discrimination, hidden violence against women and children. So much darkness. This is why society has fallen off the planet. Even with so much love and positive vibe coming from others.
These are the people God must try to turn. God must try to shine some light into their dark minds and hearts. Because without dealing with these hidden low level people we can’t really have full peace.
Why do we have people who look down on someone simply because their haircut is different from theirs? Are you really that opinionated that you don’t see the log coming out of your eye? I guess without you coming here and making your mark WILL ordinary loving caring people never know about the other groups of people that are the cause of societies problems are. Off course we have the evil with the governments who lead nations into sin of the worst kind. But we often ignore the underbelly of society. The actual darkness. The actual minds of these dark ones. The actual hearts of these dark ones.
The ones that look down on others positivity, others progress of change, others ability to care, others ability to love, others ability to accept all races and sexes, others ability to charity, others ability to see the need or what’s required to improve lives. Others morals, values and greater character.
An old story told, many have heard it. Noah’s Ark. have you ever wondered why there was only Noah and his immediate family? Where’s the rest of the world? Have you ever wondered where’s the rest of the world? I tell you I am pleased that the Ark if in 2022 will contain alot more people. There are many who have heeded the call and pleased Our Lord. But this low hidden judgemental finger pointing zombies I present to the world.
Their opinion is that their time back then was full of the best people. And the children of today are going to be the worst leaders and ruin the world. If their time was full of the best then why is society the way it is at present? These low life’s never turn that pointing finger on themselves. Never see the picture that maybe the issue is them. Maybe the reason the world is full of hatred, no care, no compassion, racism, sexism, discrimination, All these social evils is BECAUSE of them. They think others are the problem. But never see them as maybe the nail in the car tyre. It doesn’t anger but really saddens me that these people are real. They are out there hidden in society. Hidden in their privacy. Committing what crimes on their family’s. On their neighbours. On their communities.
I say to you people. Don’t you ever ever disrespect or hurt the children of today. These children WILL be the future of tomorrow. We are NOW here to nurture, care, love, guide them under Gods teachings so the future WILL be here for ALL. A better future. I hope all you people that caused me to write here read this comment. I hope you sit there in your privacy and self reflect. Look in the mirror. Start that self healing. Look at your own life. What dark issues have brought you here? Why does someone’s haircut affect you so much? Why does someone’s skin colour cause you to hate so much? Why you never help others in need? Why you look at someone homeless on the street and say they are filth, they are the problem. Why you don’t know or want to care or love. Why when you see others who are happy makes you sick to the stomach. The love of others offends you?
Chances to stop suffering. Chances to change. Chances to come out of hidden homes and into a future going places, is only given to you once. I will not let anyone destroy or hurt the children of tomorrow because they don’t want their success. I will shut the doors on the Ark and watch all you evil drown. Take this grace that is only given once. Only once. Don’t hurt in hidden darkness. Come out and heal. Help make this and that and everywhere a better place. Remove the barnacles and log from your eye.
    Peace Love

Miss these type of songs and music was awesome from 1960's to 1990's before nasty/condescending/racist and potty mouth rap/hip hop music took over the scenes and dance bars play that loud/disgusting rap/hip hop that hurts your ears since the 1990's onward.

Seekers-A World Of Our Own Lyrics
Close the doors, light the lights.
    We're stayin' home tonight,
far away from the bustle and the bright city lights.
Let them all fade away. Just leave us alone.
And we'll live in a world of our own.
We'll build a world of our own
that no one else can share.
All our sorrows we'll leave far behind us there.
And I know you will find
    there'll be peace of mind
when we live in a world of our own.
Oh my love, oh my love,
I cried for you so much.
    Lonely nights without sleeping
while I longed for your touch.
    Now your lips can erase
    the heartache I've known.
Come with me to a world of our own.
