It is a gem. I visit ray house on his birthday on 2.4.2024. Believe it or not shame atmosphere and shame environment still belongs there. Babuda and his family is so friendly and cooperative. Truly last international bengali.

To me ,much more than a film maker ,he is an author and a legendary one at that . His Feluda and tarini khuro are adventure stories cum detective tales also travelogues and his short stories are brilliant but his ultimate creation is professor shonku , unparalleled in world fiction !

"জন অরণ্য" গল্প শোনায় নতুন প্রতিষ্ঠানের,
"প্রতিদ্বন্ধি" তুলে ধরে কষ্ট বেকারজীবনের।
লেখক স্রষ্টা তোমারে সেলাম,
তোমার জন্য বাংলা গল্পে নতুন চরিত্র পেলাম।
তারিণীখুড়ো গল্প বলে ছোট বাচ্চাদের,
ফেলুদা শায়েস্তা করে দুস্টু লোকেদের।
শঙ্কু গবেষণায় মত্ত উশ্রী নদীর ধারে।
বঙ্কু বাবু ভিনগ্রহী বন্ধু পেয়ে আনন্দে আত্মহারা।
ক্লাসমেট যেন স্কুল জীবনে অনেকখানি জুড়ে,
শিশুমন সাজায় মল্লানাসিরুদ্দিনের গল্প দিয়ে মুড়ে।
ভুতের রাজার অমন শব্দ সৃষ্টি সহজে না হয়,
বুদ্ধি দিয়ে বিশ্বজয়ের পথ দেখালে নিশ্চয়।
মহারাজা প্রাণেররাজা তোমারে সেলাম,
আজি শুভ জন্মদিনে তোমারে প্রণাম।।
