In todays 2022 days, do not see a bangali intellectual who can speak in depth and with best in class accent like him.. In last 50 years , we have turned really backward

This man is himself an institution, we have to learn from him every day of our life. What a personality and the word throwing style , and of course his in depth knowledge about world cinema, fascinating.
He spoke not just fluently but elegantly.
Oh man he predicted in those times star wars going to be tremendous success & and it's actually doing now ,he was a brilliant director hat's off
We haven't as yet found anyone to fit in his shoes. Be that in intellect, style or personality he continues to have a profound influence upon all of us even today.

And this is what I am talking about ! Intellectually on top of the radar yet humble. A person with very high self esteem will talk like this. Zero pride and zero attitude. Speaking in English yet no accent involved.

There’s nothing wrong with changing accents when speaking with different people. I struggled with this a lot, but that’s what I feel.

Yes, it is not a benchmark for intelligence, but sure is for expression of thought to other worlds. Every person who has mastered this abilty went famous worldwide, be it Ravi Shankar, Satyjit Ray, Mahatma Gandhi, Sadhguru!! You name it. So Kids, learn new things and absorb everything and everyone without any prejudice! 🙏

My dear Bengali elite community, I just found out that the name Somnolin pill invented by Satyajit Ray's Professor Shonku is being used by several firms for business, they even put trade mark (TM) on it!!! Metagenics, PromoFarma, Bravacorp. I am furious to see this. All his inventions and discoveries are so unique, Miracurall, Annihilin and many more. Perhaps those were not protected by copyright. But still, isn't it theft and hence against the law? Is there anything we can do to report this shameless act? Where to send our complain to? Please tell me.
That's not how "copyright strike" works in legal terms you see!
You have to invent those products to have a exclusive right on those; you can't get rights on your imaginative fictional products or their names.
But yes if it's really such thing happening out there,they should had mention the philosophy of nomenclature somewhere; but again how can you teach "Morality 101" to such brute corporates!

Practically any upper class Bengali born under the British Empire would go to study in London and speak like Ray. Google "Bengal Renaissance". The only group in the entire continent of Asia to go through one lol. No wonder they were the first Asians to win the noble prize. Not japan. Not china. Not the turks. Ray is the last of the Bengal Renaissance. Imagine how many Noble Prizes and artists and scientists Bengalis would've produced if the British Empire was still there. Instead the Bengalis are now oppressed and marginalized by the semi educated semi literate hindispeaking majority
