From what I have read the only controller that will work with it is the Kessil spectral x, I already had the kessil spectral a and it won’t turn the white light off all the way. Guess I’m gonna have to spend another hundo to get this thing ramping up and down correctly plus maybe a cable or adapter for the cable. We shall see. The light kicks ass though for the price point.
I have 2 of the 100 watt on my 250 reefer Red Sea. The blue has 6 levels and the white red green has 6 levels. I start about level 4 so 2 from the lowest setting blue only for one hour then up one level by 11 am I add level 5 coloured white red and green channel . So one from the lowest setting with blue on 2 so one from the highest setting . At noon I put blue on the highest setting and white red and green in the middle setting or 3 . Stays like that for 3 to 4 hours then I start lowering the white by one notch till about 5 then it’s blue only . After supper say 6 I go down till by 8 pm it’s at the lowest setting luv 6 . Then z830 or so I turn them off and leave on the blue rays ( separate small fixture ). Simulates moon 🌝 night . Rinse and complete . My only complain is one there is no on sand off switch and programming by hand is a pain but doable . I have mixed reef with sps and lps coral . If I was to replace these I would go bigger like that new knissel full length which is fully programable abs even more power . But it’s 1100 dollars . Which is why I am happy with these for now .

Currently I have a Kenya tree, hammer coral and a green star polyp. May upgrade to different coral life in the future so wanted to know if the 100's are enough or if the 150's would be necessary. These are real nice just wish they had more control I have them on a timer on and off, I emailed nicrew and they said they where working on a controller for the light that can make it go on a sunrise sunset mode, the one I showed on this video only works and off, other than that I am real happy with it..
I wish I could have gotten a couple before they sold out online and have yet to come back up for sale. But now seeing this maybe two 50 watt lights will be better

Then two days later the 100s we’re back in stock jus my luck... but After seeing the 50s I wanna get two 100s for a 40 breeder I wanna turn into a coral only tank. Need to rent a par meter from BRS and check the output. Visually you can see one is slightly brighter have a light meter app says ones brighter and you can feel the heat one is hotter. But I’d like to see what kind of par I’m getting. I have em maybe 5” over the water but my tank is kinda tall and a bow front. If I do I will have to make a short video showing my results.
Question. Did you ever consider one of those chinese black boxes? I have a aqua night and just got a 30 long 36 inch and cant decide. Your light, 2 aqua knights or black box like the wills.
Hi all. This may help anyone wanting to buy the HyperReef 100w led light unit. I bought one and have to say for the money it is a very good marine light. It is brighter and has a better spread than I expected. I'm using it on a 3 foot tank. I haven't used it at its full brightness and my lps and soft coral are doing fine. It also looks good and is simple to mount with the bracket provided. The only down side is the controlling capability. I bought the nicrew duel controller which I had seen was frequently bought with the HyperReef 50w on Amazon. I assumed it would work with the 100w but so far have only been able to use it as a timer which is fine for on and off but not for the sun rise sun set affect I wanted. The controller has a twin cable which I thought would be for the whites and the blues but when I went to set it up the light unit only has a single cable? Dimming so far is only achievable manually. Please let me know if anyone has had better success with the controller.
Do think this light could work for a 3ft tank in of terms spread? I have a Innovative Marine 30L... hoping to grow corals but I’m worried that it wont produce enough par to the outter ends of the tank
I will show you how it works as soon as I get the pro controller from nicrew I bought the single Chanel one and it did not work, the light is real good has lots of options in the settings, I will make a video ones the new controller comes in..
That timer is a god send bro. It works on pretty much every Nicrew units and even some other brands. Very nice controller that no one knows about.

Do the fans on your light make a lot of noise. I bought 3 of the 150W lights and they're super loud. Considering returning them for something else.

Did the timer work, It says their timers don't work with these? Do you have a link to it or how to identify it on amazon.
The timer did not work, I send it back to nicrew store on Amazon and they sent me a basic on off timer..
just had a reply from nicrew they say a timer will be out in the next 2-3 months. for those that are interested.
