Man I definitely would like to say thank you for giving us budget guys or just don’t want to drop a k on lighting. Lighting by far is the most expensive part of this hobby. I have been thinking about buying new leds to change out my metal halogen and t5 lights. Keep up the budget stuff for all of us.
I dont have a quarantine tank so how do you recommend i introduce my first corals into my tank ? I got the lights today and now tomorrow im ready to buy corals but not sure how to introduce them.
Thinking about getting these. I’ve always had a Fowlr tank which is what I have now. But wanna grow some gsp to help get my nitrates down. I have some messy fish. How do you like these lights so far?
Any chance you still have the same setup? I want to order a custom aluminum frame to run your 3D printed hanging mounts but I’m not sure how high to order them. Do you know the height from the top of the trim to the rod?
Great video dude! Thanks so much for doing the PAR on these lights! So this test was done with the blue maxed out....as your settings showed on the timer. I don't have the blues turned up all that high...probably 50% since I prefer less blue...so would the par be far less, which means the SPS would suffer? Since I have LPS I'll be cutting by 2/3 to get 100 PAR or less. Thanks man.
Hi, one question please: As i'm a blue light lover, how many percent of white do i have to ad at minimum? Would 5% white and 80% be ok or is it to less white and i might kill my corals with this setting?
I have the 100w version over a 20gal waterbox cube. Too early to know if the corals will strive under it, hoping for the best. Anybody been using these over a year? If so, how well did your corals grow under them?
@@MkMk-kk1op the lights are pretty good for the price from what I can tell, the color you’ll get is not as good as a more spends light, as to be expected, it has kept all my corals alive so far, in 6months or a year I’ll have a better idea about whether or not they grow corals well though. I have zoanthids, frog spawn, torch coral, favites, Xenia, pocillapora, birds of paradise, montipora digitata, a couple small acros, and a toadstool leather. All were purchased as small frags, not long ago. If you get this light, buy the controller for it, it will make the lighting options much better, and allows timer and ramping functionality.
Great price, decent output but the optics and spread don't seem to be that great. Super par in the center and drops over 1/3 power diagonally. I also always found it hard to get that ultra pop from lights that only let you control 2 channels. If on a budget I would do noops over anything else.
Probably would get more even par and not a hotspot in the middle if you were to raise them up about another 4 to 5 inches Looks like they’re about 10 inches maybe 9 inches from the waters surface. I found that the budget lights work better around 18 inches to 24 Depending on your brand of budget lights . I’m going to use your link to buy. What’s your thoughts?

Can you make this bracket to slide on 80 20 extruded aluminum T slot?

I have a couple of their strip lights on my nano and get good growth, had to lower the power to less than half to not melt everything
You should do an update on how the Nicrew lights are working out
I have those lights as well. Awesome lights so far!
Would’ve been nice to see the par on the top of the frag tray.
It's between 350 and 600
Gonna try these out, what size would you recommend for a standard 20 gallon?? 24x12,
Can you use any 3.5 or does it have to be a certain type
I there, nice videos. Is it possible to know it those fan's are noisy and if they always run at 100% or they ramp according to the temperature? Thanks
@FishOfHex Can you discuss why you chose Nicrew over some of the other budget options such as Noopsyche, ViparSpectra, Smatfarm, etc.
I got a 150 on a 20 gallon hanging over the top probably 18 inches. At 50w 100 blue I’m at 300 par.

Par question. If you decrease the intensity of the lights by 50%, will the PAR also decrease by 50%?
yes

Thanks for the vid

Should I go with a 150w or a 100w in a mixed coral 40 gallon breeder? Also would I need one or two?
What did you go with not sure with my 40b
@@landongara837 not sure because I haven't had the money but think I'm going to start with 1 150 and upgrading to 2 of them later
@@akillys0586 yeah I was thinking of doing a 150 however I’m not sure the spread will be enough that’s why I’m wondering about two of them
@@akillys0586 I was thinking 250s or a 100 and a 50 would be good I’m just not sure either
Where would I get the mount like yours?
I offer the mounts on my website fishofhex.com
Please built a diffuser for them I will purchase it
I don’t like the spread of the radion g4 I have probably, looks like an upgrade if I go with the cheaper light 😊
Hi, how to set blue and white for sunrise-sunset and normal day?
I set the first point to 0, the second point what i want the lights to be at and it will ramp up
What would you recommend for a 48”x24”x16”? I was hoping to just get a couple 100 watt ones
Which would be best for a 29 gallon long mainly for softies nothing too hard ? The 150, 100, 50, or 30 Watts?
100 would be fine
What is your height for the lights above the water @FishofHex
I believe i mentioned it in the video i dont know off hand
Hi,
one question please:

Would 5% white and 80% be ok or is it to less white and i might kill my corals with this setting?
I always do 100% blue and 25 to 35% whites. Now intensity or power will be determined by the amount of PAR you want
Would you recommend one 150w for a 20g long? Or is that to much and get a 100? Or two 50s? Can you control its power with just the stock controller?
So glad you switched to Nicrew lights. There is not enough info on them.
Ciao è normale una volta settato tutto e a fine ciclo si accendono i blu all1% grazie
How come i programmed my lights to turn off 0white 0blue at 10:45pm but then they randomly turned back on ? What am i doing wrong ?

How do you like it so far ?
Im thinking of getting waterbox cube 25, and doing my research for lights

What settings do you use for your lights? If you don’t mind me asking
did you call the light and controller a joker ? lmao i caught that lol

There is no clickable link for the light like there is for the controller and other products. Just an fyi.
