You sold me on the controller, so I ordered one thru your link so that you'd receive the Amazon commission. Just getting my wiring organized today, I appreciate your commentary! Scott from NJ transplanted to SC
Oh my goodness. I have had this controller for 8 months. I was able to change the levels and times. However, I couldn't make it utilize Quickset 2. Now I can. Thank you much!
With only the 50w HyperReef I'm not concerned with too much par. I also only plan on softies in this tank so too little is also unlikely. For now I'll just move corals up or down if think light is an issue.
I have 2 x 100W, with a controller. It’s a nice budget setup. I get PAR readings of 100-150 throughout the tank at around 50-55% blues. Perfect for my softies and LPS. If I’m being SUPER picky, I have one minor complaint… The controller will show your % reading change in 1% increments. As in: 1%, 2%, 3%, etc… The lights change in 5% increments. As in Off, 5%, 10%, 15%, etc… I wish the controller stepped in the same increments as the lights. Told you… super picky! I know a controller that output 0-10V with 100 increments would be way more than $40 though. All in all… I’m very happy with my setup.
Thank you for a simple explanation of how to use the quick set feature.
Finally a video!
I've had this light for over 6 months on my tank and now I understand how to use the controller 🙃

Great video keep up the good work!
Lol that 50 is big on that size! I just bought 2 for my 80 gallon shallow reef. But I’m also doing a 80 watt bar as well
I have that controller too. That thing is awesome. Make sure you test your setting with a Par meter.

Wanted to like this controller but couldn’t get it to work with my Gen 1 50 Watt light.
Thanks for this video! One question: Do have to leave the cable connected to the lamp and controller after finish the programming/setup?
