Stunning tank. Love the corals - that Wall is awesome. So great to see a reefer running cheap lighting and getting great results. I have SB Reef Lights which are more expensive but they do put out a heap of power (the 300W on the blackbox is not run at 300W). I am super happy with them mainly because they hit the right spectrum. I then have the Telegrahm 470nm bar for extra pop (I just put it on manually as SB Reef Lights doesn't hit 470nm that hard as it's not so important for coral growth / color). The sump setup is epic - love the ATS. I think there is a huge trend towards cheap fuge lights and I think reefers will revert to cheaper LEDs again with everything that is happening. Rico used to run Ocean Revives and had massive success but then there was a big push against them especially with safety. It's strange but I think the new Gen 5 Radions are really good value but pushing 3 x Gen 30s over a 4ft tank is overkill and unnecessary - but it got the conversation going about how expensive lights are (I think unfairly for Ecotech). But this is great - it will be great to see more people affording to get into reefing ;)
For sure! I'd love to do another video of the exact opposite...high end lights and equipment...and then compare the two. There are just so many ways to reef. Choose your own adventure!

Hello congratulations for the video. I have a tank 100x100x50cm h one square, with only soft corals and central island, I wanted to know if the 60w relassy ceiling lights are good and how many I need to take. Or 1x 300w relassy? Thanks so much

Had that thought too. That's the thing you don't get with these kinds of lights...customer service and specs you can trust. Telegraham bought one so it will be interesting to hear his thoughts.
I got this light on eBay really cheap! So I took my handy Mr. volt meter to this. I do NOT recommend taking one apart I cracked the plastic a few times, OKAY, a lot... anyways, I'm getting 265/315 watts however, its spread across each LED cluster approx.. 6-8W per LED. Now that's still 300W across the whole light itself. I notice they used some high dollar SMD capacitors that cost about $0.48 each as well as some higher priced LEDs made by CREE and LUMEX $0.20-$1.50!! EACH, not sure how they made this so cheap... if I DIY this same set up its about $300 in parts.

@@BahamaLlamaCoral Ouch... but yeah that is what I've seen with most of those "cheap Chinese" fixtures on Amazon they list them at 300W (or whatever) but they're no where close to that amount, and seem to argue that is the "equivalent wattage" or some other garbage. I bet those guys who spent thousands and thousands of dollars on fancy lights and skimmers (and their tanks still look pretty bad) are not enjoying this video. Beautiful tank.
AMC go BRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!🚀🌕
Damn, I got one of those lights for free. Used for one week and went to the shelf, I had a planted tank. Then I started a reef and I wast hundreds of dollars on radions. lol nahhh they're good. Bu that means I already have a light for the future frag tank lol.
Always good to have backups!
I feel for ya with the audio. I've shot whole videos and then realized I never turned the mic on. Beautiful tank.
Ugh...hard to be a one man band sometimes. You quickly realize why there are 400 people on a production staff for videos...lol.
So he uses live rock as a form of bio filter? This is dope
Yep! If you've got the room for it in your sump it's a good option. Although you wanna make sure they don't just become detritus traps.
Bahama Llama Coral that’s different I like that . I’m running a canister filter for my mix reef But trying to get ideas on a sump.
Paint the wood white and it bee perfect
Well looks like a great tank. Your acans May be a problem due to you having what looks like an angel in there.
AH HA!!! Didn't even think about that! Like Carole Baskin's tigers...that angel be snackin!
Link to lights?? Don't see it.
They are called Bozily lights. Click "see more" in description if you don't immediately see the links.
@@BahamaLlamaCoral Sorry. First time I looked there wasn't a 'show more'.
UA-cam being funky?? :)
The Acan problem could be worms.... Look for mini bobbit worms at night..
Interesting! I'll make sure to pass that along if he doesn't see it here.
I actually do that too your not crazy
I just got this light in. Put it over the tank and it's not even close to this. It's a 96 gallon corner. The light looks half as bright. Don't understand.
Damn I was about to buy these
Send it back. This is one of those things you risk when you buy the cheap stuff unfortunately. Also weird because Telegraham purchased and tested and said it was a good light for the price. Shoot me a DM on IG - I am curious to see what the one you got looks like.
@@BahamaLlamaCoral Will do, it was the relassy 300 watt. Almost seems like it was a lower watt version.
when I started I was using black boxes that were growing my corals way better than.my hydras but no lets spend those thousands of dollars
regular 120 is 4ft but still nice tank
That nem is 100% a Sherman Rose BTA
It's GORGEOUS. It's so big!
@@BahamaLlamaCoral I got one in my tank, once you see the colors of one you instantly in love!
Yes do more tank videos I always get hung up on her placement. Overthink it and never do anything. BTW my IG is @rhinosreef
Will do! Easy to overthink it but keep it simple if you can!
Sad that these lights can't be found in 2024
They're out there. Just under a different brand name.
@BahamaLlamaCoral I need to find that brand name asap 😭 I really want this light!!! I have been looking for day's for something like this...
