Sorry for the audio everyone. UA-cam removed the very faint background music that I’d put on it.

Britmodeller brought me here and I'm glad that it did. Excellent video production and modelling.

Excellent build and super paint job, the 109 looks very atmospheric, as if the pilot had just got out.
One comment I would make is that aircraft were not parked and serviced on just any old patch of desert. The landing strip and service areas would have been levelled, smoothed and cleared of any large stones or bushes, particularly for a 109 with it's long spindly undercarriage that was known to be unstable!

Thank you again, yes I understand, maybe the rocks were out of scale but I was just modelling a base for a parked aircraft and went from my own experiences of the Afghan and Mojave deserts.
Thank you for watching and engaging, I do appreciate your comments.

@@45degreesmodelling Thanks for responding, it is appreciated. I enjoy your vids and have only recently come across them. The model building is top notch and invaluable to me as I about to get back into modelling after an absence of 40 years or so and I was never very good to begin with!! I am guessing you were in the Army. I have been through Death Valley (though not American) and Wadi Rum etc in Jordan, and deserts are both facinating and intimidating to look at so I understand your comments on drawing from your experience, and detail does provide interest to the base so your approach is probably better. I shall continue to watch.

Great build and I loved the Captain Scarlet SPV tucked away in the corner!

Thank you, haha yes the SPV is a die cast toy from when I was a kid. I’d love to build a model of it!

Superb work. I try and build an appropriate base for all of my models to help with the context. But the desert I'd probably shy away from to be honest so it's nice to see how it's done

Thank you very much, that’s kind to say. I’d probably do it a little bit differently next time but it certainly adds to the model imo!

Beyond the plane (and dio) turning out fantastic, that's my favorite Bf109 paint scheme, like the one in the RAF Museum. And the hues look spot on. Very well done. Cheers.

Thank you, yeah I had a nightmare with the audio on this one. If you were listening with headphones, it works in one ear and not the other just incase you had no audio.
The music I used was copyrighted and when I went to re upload without the music the file was corrupted and I’d deleted the edit from my software 😭
