Hey JAYPEMusic, that's very kind of you to say! I'm not too familiar with Overcharged Egg (I've heard the name but can't say I've watched any of their videos) and I'm sure they're great! :)
@@jester.GamingOE also makes use of vanilla style play. It's good content. He's from across the ocean. I think you'd compliment each other well, but the more vanilla, the better. I like both of your content. 😊
Bro.. this was my suggestion in a previous video. Though I am not owning the idea, just happy you made a video about it! Nice bro. I am just happy to see how this city grows. 😁
Hey Dark Phantom, thanks for checking out another video and leaving a comment! Of course you can take some credit for it - we're building the city together! I've been getting quite a bit of comments for my videos so it's hard to keep track of everything. I read them all and try to respond so you probably helped plant the idea in my head!
Brilliant videos man. Your views and subscriber count might be less today but mark my words, you're gonna be a big youtuber if you keep up the same quality of videos you're producing
Thank you Harshal, I appreciate the feedback and support! I'm glad you're enjoying the content on the channel! I'm extremely happy with the views and subscribers I've received so far ... I never even thought I would have what I have today, anything is awesome!
On a bit of a Cities: Skylines binge at the moment and found your channel through your road hierarchy video. Already subbed and looking forward to more, thanks Jester :)
Thanks John Saxon, I appreciate the feedback! The first step is just to do something ... anything ... and see where it takes you! I went through 2, maybe 3, different iterations before I settled on what I put in the video. Welcome to the channel!
Thanks for the support SR__21! It'll definitely fluctuate a little bit and I may even upload something from other games but more frequent is the plan! :)
Policies and districts are awesome! They can allow you to have some variety within the city. However, the paint districts tool is horrendous and I wish it was better than it is!
In 11:08 you didn't place the tram stop (I noticed people weren't happy and then the line didn't stay). Great video! You really make me want to play again.
Thanks Leticia, I'm glad you enjoyed! I noticed that when I was editing the video and thought I might be able to get away with it so I didn't have to record it again ... I was wondering if anyone would notice, good catch! :D
@@jester.Gaming Oh, now I feel like a detective! Hahaha, of course it is perfectly fine in a video, I just didn't want your cims to miss the tram opportunities! Btw, I really enjoy your videos, you are a great builder/manager and you explain things very well. I didn't think I would learn new things about this game so many years after its release, but here we are! Thank you for doing what you are doing, you really inspire us.
Cool idea to get the the Edison Hyper Charger! Would you make them Historical so they don't get auto upgraded? And the tip on the District name so it does not display.
Thanks Brian - I can't take much credit for that though, it was from a video by Imperatur that I got those ideas from (linked in the description). These types of specialized commercial districts don't level up like traditional commercial buildings so they'll remain the same. However, I've marked them as historical to make it difficult to accidentally delete them since you get a confirmation box to when they're historical. I hope this answers your questions!
Hey Josef, thank you for taking the time to leave a comment and some feedback! That's a very good point. My trees are a little bit more dense than what is around the map. I think that's a good idea ... I'll have to see what other trees I can add to make it look a little better!
23:47 What i just thought of: There is a slight slope on the left side of the tracks,or? So instead of using the first switch (from left) to join directly the track to the right (outside world), why not turn off to the left (towards the city), going up and then crossing the two tracks and then join line to the right. Doing so, the radius is much bigger and looks more realstic
Hmm, that's an interesting idea. My space is somewhat limited to be able to go up and around like what I think you're describing. Curving the track while going over the others might be difficult. I'll probably leave it for now but we do have two junctions pretty close together joining the regional line so it might cause problems in the future so I may have to come back and make some adjustments similar to what you're suggesting!
Wow, that's great QQ, thank you for watching the series! You're right and that would be a good problem to have but it might be some time away. I'm going to read and respond to as many comments as I can! :)
Really? That's interesting - I had no idea! I think the console version of the game was actually done by a different company. Colossal Order developed the original game for PC but Tantalus Media made the console versions of the game. Thanks for checking out another video Zai! :)
24:43 The flyover over the two to right lines is not necessary. A long, smooth flyover over the middle line and then straight to the line comming from the left: So this ugly extra line on the outer side is not longer needed
Hello dude, I just watch yout channel and also just finished binge watching the series. Your overall build looks good, but I think the rail lines are a little bit wonky and also looks like your cargo train also taking the same lines with your passenger trains, like when they slipped into monorail train hub. Also why not use the train hub instead?
Thanks Matthew, I'm glad you're enjoying the series and the city. The rail lines are definitely a little bit wonky... but on purpose! It's designed to mimic a train yard in real life (lots of parallel tracks). The passenger trains do take the same line as the cargo trains - this is something that also happens in real life. If I could I would have had a track for the cargo train to bypass the train hub but there was no room to do it. I might add a tunnel in the future to be able to achieve this. No need for a train hub at the moment - I really only have one track dedicated to passenger trains and I also wanted to have access to other public transportation systems.
I would love to use the Move It mod, it looks awesome! However, I'm trying to stick to not using any mods for now. I can hope it's something they might include in Cities: Skylines 2 ... whenever that might be. Welcome to the channel Alexander Maguire!
Awesome Wade, glade it was helpful for you! Zai Han commented down below that the console version has a brush similar to what we have with mods .... I had no idea since I've never really played the game with mods on. I guess it's only a tip for PC players! :)
Hi there! I wanted to know what is the minimum pc spec required to play Cities Skylines??? I have a 4gb RAM computer...it runs on intel....but when I play the game lags alot!!! But now I am thinking to buy a new pc :) so just wanted to know its minimum requirements to help me decide what to get next ;)) also love yr videos >._.
Hey Western Mcfly, welcome to the channel - I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! The minimum requirements can be found on the Steam page (store.steampowered.com/app/255710/Cities_Skylines/) ... there's a bunch of stuff so it's a little difficult to post in a comment! I just recently upgraded my processor and it's running significantly smoother now. Previously I couldn't record and play at the same time without it hitching and glitching. I highly recommend checking out some forums and/or websites to see what kind of computers people are building to play the game to try and get the best setup for yourself without spending too much money because computers can get expensive very quickly!
