This was so helpful! I only had lab rats growing up and they were pretty low maintenance but I think I'm ready for an upgrade and am watching as many videos as I can to see what the extremes are
I absolutely love your videos. As for the litter box I have an older ferret (just recently adopted him And his 14 week older brother) and they were both outside ferrets not trained or anything. I've had them both for just over a week now (so I'm fairly new to being a ferret mum). Well we've trained them. The older one does try to use the litter box but does miss from time time because it's either too full or he accidently over shoots and hands his but over the tray. Its accidents from time to time. But the younger one isnt used to having a designated place so he poops in the cage and all over the floor. Thank God for hardwood floors 😂
I agree ! Boredom is my biggest problem with my 5 . I have them in my dining room double ferret nation door ALWAYS open . They have an area by my living room I don't free roam due to other animals in house . I do let them in my screened porch 3 to 4 hours day but they are free roam in their room . I sit with them in hall with them watch them dig box and toys . But in their area I don't allow dig box or most toys . I did do a box mansions bit that don't work . Pooping yes they have an area and I use puppy pads and litter boxes most do great but accidents happen ! I need ideas for things to do ! Smelly yes like corn chips LOL. Air purifier works great

I'm not sure, but I heard females could get very sick if they didn't breed. Idk. I'm gonna get mine fixed anywaysmmm
