You just have to respect a schizophrenic ex-junkie who battled through all that and continues to make his great music all these years! Anton is a legend!
Legend in his own mind for sure . No one thinks higher of Anton , then Anton . Well that's judging from the documentary "Dig" . Never seen such a spoiled brat in my life . Except maybe me . Hope he's learned from his past and is actually a nice person now 🙏
@@landonjackson3064 He was a dick in that documentary but he's grown since then and has become a good person - just very private. We should all hope and pray for Anton to stay young at heart, vibrant and healthy so he can continue playing his great music for all of us. I'm older than Anton and I totally appreciate the effort that he puts in. We're all very lucky (at least in my opinion) to have had this opportunity to be part of his musical journey. Rock on Anton and BJM!!!
I keep coming back to this show (video)....It stands up to be one of their best tour videos yet....sound, groove and mood, lighting, right at dusk outdoors....drummer is in the zone...Anton mellow gold, oh yeahhhh.....one of the late (hopefully not last) rhythm guitarist appearances.
Servo and Pish back to back is something special. This entire show they were so tight and this mix, off the board, is top notch. The audience seems to not be aware of how special this is. Back to Servo...Wonder what Anton thought when he came up with that riff? And then Pish. One of BJMs best songs ever. Anton the riffmaster...and grand discerner of PHAT bass lines.
Anton looking like Neil Young and love it! So glad dude is alive and well! The catalog of music this band has is absolutely amazing! Great recording 👌 thanks for sharing this!
Well you were two years earlier than me. I just found them today. Folks interested in all kinds of music will find the good stuff - eventually. Thank God for UA-cam!!!

Absolutely! Same thing when I've seen them the past couple of times. The whole experience was incredible, but Dan kind of stole the show in a subtle way. It's no secret that any band is only as good as their drummer, but Dan Allaire has been Anton's secret weapon for many years, and he deserves so much more credit and recognition for it.
Saw them at First Avenue in Mpls. this last May. Hadn't been to that venue in years (getting old). Had been waiting to see them live since I first heard "When Jokers Attack" on an internet radio station in 2004. That's when I got bit, and bit hard. Greatest band in the world of course. This was the first chance I had to see them live. Of course wasn't going to miss it. Three hours of utter bliss. I laughed, roared, cried and haven't had such an experience since, since... not since ANYTHING. No band, at any stage in my life has ever inspired me, blasted me to the core or had the power to shift my heart and perspective on my own life as this band has, whether on disc, vinyl or digital and almost beyond comprehension, live. They TRANSCEND, in the purest form. That Anton, and the band, only get better is an enigma to the degree that all one can do is sit back and thank Anton, and whatever deity you believe in, that this is a part of our lives.
mad reaper damn you took what i thought and felt when I saw them in Boston in May of 2016, and put it into words I really couldn't have. Thank you! Well Said. I'll add to Mad Reapers beautifully written comment: like him, I am getting older. Just hit the big 40. The grunge era was my prime but this tops it
absolutely, great production, the sound is excellent esp Colin Hegna's bass, Anton's vocals have never sounded better. Even the lightshow was great taking the show from daylight through dusk, twilight, sunset to black of night... I hope those white strobe-type things didn't instigate any epileptic attacks
Joel task might seem underrated and too simple, but we all know how important joel and the tambourine in in this band. 'is not random that hes in the middle of stage.
I lived in the Haight in San Francisco in the 1990s. I knew these guys when they first started. One of our friends Karen, we called her Skaren, was an original member. She died of a heroine overdose, never experienced their success. I can't believe how huge they got.
Man, this is so much of what I have been looking for all my musical flow. They represent , if that is what I'm trying to say, the essence of the ringing in my ears.
I love the richness of all the layers going on with the strings, but kudos to the drummer for being exactly what you're looking for! Solid, simple, gets deep in that pocket.
