I'm 64 years young and live in the U.S. In the last few years I've started wearing less makeup, especially foundation. I've always found it very difficult to find the perfect match foundation for my skin tone so switching to a BB or CC cream seems to be the best for me. In the U.S. women are so used to wearing tons of makeup. They will even say to other women that they're not taking care of their appearance if they're not wearing lots of makeup. The natural look isn't well received here except for maybe those in their 20's. Even my 85 year young mother told me I needed to wear a full face of makeup and stop trying to look like a teenager!! I regret that I wasn't taught how to care for my skin as a preteen/teen. The French are worlds ahead of us Americans in regard to skincare. Thanks for this video, Marie-anne!
Madame, your look is so effortless, and your manner is both warm and authoritative. After 3 years in Paris in the 90’s, I’m luckily a convert to the “less is more” approach. I teach at a uni and I’m mystified by the kabuki foundation...the insect eyelashes...the tin foil strobing...and now, the POINTED fake nails. Where does one find the energy to do oneself up like a parade float?
Ugh. I agree! So funny, kabuki faces. I think of that make-up style as death masks. I’ve seen the same “look” in open caskets. Lifeless. I’d rather see the flaws in my own face and in the face if others. It’s human.
I love this!! I daily use a tiny bit of a light foundation mixed with a good spf moisturizer, a good mascara, pop of natural blush, and a light layer of reddish brown lipstick (good for my skin tone and olive green eyes). The other day my boss commented on my natural makeup condescendingly while she wears hers caked on and clownish because she feels ugly. I feel sorry for her.
For the past 3 weeks I have been a minimalist when it comes to make up. It has been very liberating! Wish I had changed my mindest a lot sooner. Thank you for sharing the video.
I don't know what the big deal is here in the U.S., I was a professional fashion illustrator in NYC in the late 1960s/early 1970s and the natural look was in then and big! I've always loved the natural look. It was in London with the MOD look that they did the big eyes with " Twiggy lashes" under the eye and the white lipstick and then in the 1980s all the heavier makeup came along with the big hair! " Less is more" not only in fashion but also in makeup and decorating as well I also studied at the New York School of Interior Design and one of the first lessons other than color is RESTRAINT! Thanks for the tips...spot on!
Brenda Drew Great time for American women. A lovely era. Absolu6agree. What a neat time working doung what you did for a living. You must have hundreds of cool stories.
Bonjour, Marie-Anne! Would you do a video on what products French women gravitate towards in their skin care regiments? Merci beaucoup! I love your videos and have learned so much! À bientôt!
First, thanks you Marie-Anne, for all your tips on wardrobe, accessories, food, makeup. I began learning from French women about forty years ago, and you continue to be my inspiration. I am 73 and get compliments on my skin all the time. I had horrible skin as a teen, some rosacea as an adult, have had IPL and it really helped. Years ago I began using Prescriptives and found a light foundation color that perfectly matched to my skin. When I couldn’t find that brand anymore, I was really disappointed. Any foundation I tried seemed to look like a mask. So, over time I’ve used less and less. For the past 25 years, I’ve gotten down to a lean make-up regiment with maximum skin care. My daily routine: After cleansing in the morning I use Skinceuticals CE Ferulic serum-three drops on the fingertips lightly dotted over the face, neck and décolleté. It’s expensive, but so worth it, and it lasts a long time. Next I use a dot of Obage Nu-Derm Exfoderm Forte over the same area. Finally, since I live in the southern United States, I would never set foot outdoors without a good sunscreen. I use Elta MD broad spectrum SPF 46 tinted moisturizer. I used to use a dot of a neutral light red/brown lipstick on top of cheekbones, then lips, but recently have discovered Boomstick Color by Cindy Joseph. That’s my go-to for cheekbones, lips, etc. and though all of this may seem complicated, it takes less than 10 minutes and really looks very natural. Luckily I have oily skin, which created HUGE problems when I was a teenager. Now, I am just so, so grateful.....very few wrinkles. At night after cleansing, a dot of Obage Nu-Derm Clear, then 6-7 hours of sleep. I also try to drink around 75 oz. of water a day. Thanks, again, for all your tips! I look forward to your next one!
I wish more women followed this advice. It honestly makes me sad seeing so many women relying on an excessive amount of makeup to feel better about themselves, especially here in America. I've also noticed quite a lot of female UA-camrs apologize to their viewers when they're not wearing makeup, as if showing their bare natural face is a crime. These girls definitely need to spend more time improving their self esteem rather than improving their contour and highlighting skills. There's a big difference between enhancing your natural beauty versus covering it up, and how can a woman truly feel beautiful if she's covering up her natural beauty?
Too much make up looks horrible, but cosmetic surgery looks worse. Trout pouts are awful, drawn on slug/caterpillar eyebrows are another. Some British girls wear so much 'slap' they just change their looks entirely.
You are spot on with your advice about makeup!! I used to wear full face of makeup when I was younger, but I have started wearing BB cream instead of foundation, and sometimes don't wear mascara any more, and nothing else on my brows, either!! Loved your comments about the spiders and caterpillars on the face!! Never thought about it that way, but you've got me convinced!! Thanks for the great video!! A bientot, et merci beaucoup!!😍💖✝️⚜️
I am a big fan of bare minerals mineral powder foundation as there's no nasties and it feels and looks invisible. During summer I use their sheer powder to take the shine off and in winter I use the tinted one. After many years when I was younger of experimenting my daily face is some powder, blush, eye brow powder, a thin line of brown eyeliner along my lash line, black mascara and red lipstick. It's all done in five minutes and the only part that is noticeable is the lipstick. For evening on special occasions I just add a little more eyeliner and maybe some by terry eyeshadow crayon.
Thank you very much. Marie-Anne. I'll try your no makeup makeup. It sounds easy and " healthy look". Perhaps I" ll change the BB cream by a couloured photoprotector in the same tone of my skin. Anyway I use photoblock every single day, even during winter.
I'm 75 and dark blond going gray--very gray. The eyebrows are sparse and almost white. I'm pretty much a makeup "Klutz". Always have been. I've just discovered tinted eyebrow gel. I'm now a slave to it. Gives my brows some definition without looking fake.
Beautiful video and message! Breath of fresh air; Thankyou. Yes I totally agree with you on the natural minimal beauty look- I had a giggle too with a few of your comments. Can you please do a fresh new natural no makeup look video for us women who want to let our skin glow and look as healthy as possible? As I near 50 I find my skin just wants more and more moisturiser and less makeup, especially foundation- less is best now. Thankyou 🌹
I had never heard of BB cream before. I found a sample for $15. If I just have to run to the store to pick up a few quick things, I now use BB cream and a tinted lipgloss. Once I put on my glasses, I realize no one notices I am lacking eyeshadow, mascara or eye liner. This has really simplified my life.
I agree with you - less is more when it comes to make-up as well! I like the natural look rather than the obviously made-up face, especially the too thick eyebrows (what is up with that? every woman out there seems to have the same exact brow shape these days!). And, oh my goodness, the lash extensions and false eyelashes - nothing could be more fake and unflattering, in my opinion. I add a few drops of foundation to my sunscreen - it often seems to do the trick. For summer I absolutely love Vichy's' Ideal Soleil, universal tint sunscreen. It is perfect for my skin tone and gives me just enough glow without looking sticky or shiny.
Love this video so much and I agree with what you are saying. I believe the cosmetics industry capitalizes on women's insecurities, which have been created by the cosmetics industry itself. The message they are sending us is that we are not pretty enough without all of their potions, most of which are loaded with harmful chemicals and hormone disruptors.
In the past, I wore too-much make up. I wouldn’t leave my house without a full face. Everything. When I decided that I wanted to look natural, I had a hurdle to overcome: I wasn’t familiar with my face without makeup. Sounds dramatic, but it’s so. I had to get accustomed to looking at my face, not my makeup. I went “cold turkey” for two weeks. Not a bit of makeup. It took two weeks until I was comfortable with my face without added colour and contouring. Once that happened, I was free to begin again with a very-natural look. I was surprised to find that I don’t need foundation. I use a BB cream with a high sunscreen, a light blush (for colour, not contour,) and mascara. For evening, I add eyebrow gel and liquid eyeliner (tight line top lash line only,) mascara, and a natural lip colour for the day/burgundy-red for evenings. It’s quite liberating, but I really did have to become accustomed to how I look without makeup. It was not as difficult as I’d anticipated. 💖
Absolutely less is better, because ultimately that is who you have “ your best self “ and we have to celebrate that. I love the natural look, with a beautiful, neat haircut. It makes getting ready more time effective and you present your true self to the world. I also love your lip colour. Very pretty shade for sure!
Merci pour votre vidéo! Si vous ne connaissez pas encore la maquilleuse Violette Serat, je vous la recommande fortement :) Elle est concentrée toujours sur la beauté vraiment naturelle avec des petits accents artistiques.
I am a pale natural blonde and I must have a bit of eyeshadow and mascara, I use bright lipstick because it helps me light up my face. I never use false eyelashes or glued on lashes.
Bonjour Marianne! 😄
People are so into eye lash extensions and false eyelashes these days - at least in the United States. It’s really insane in my opinion, the money and time lost over it. In terms of the filled in eyebrows, I always think about how if someone went to the sea or pool or even got wet somehow (like in the rain), how different their brows would look. I don’t want to shock people when they see me without makeup!!
rachaelryan00 and fake fingernails! I’ve seen some wear them very long with designs painted on them. I understand that long nails are like high heels for short fingers, but it seems a little wasteful, no? Then again, if one likes them and it’s fun, why not?
I love your natural makeup. I’m not used to put make up at all. As I get older I notice my face has more age spots and more wrinkles, but when I try to put a little makeup on it doesn’t look natural. Maybe because I’m not used to see myself with makeup.
Hi . Recently found your channel. I'm not a fan of foundation and heavy eye makeup. I have good skin naturally. I just emphasize my lips . I love the French style it's so chic, classic and simple.
I know this is an older video but Ive only just watched it and it has come at the right time for me.. I have been struggling with how to wear make up at myage (63) and look natural , thanks again Marie_Anne
French women in general have fine features and look feminine with little makeup. Some women have masculine features and really do look better with makeup. You can see their before and afters all over youtube. They usually look very plain and even masculine but after makeup look exotic and quite glamorous. Whereas the French and some other women with fine features look too made up and clownish with that much makeup. There is unique beauty in everyone. It's nice to know that we don't have to all fit into one category.
I never would wear heavy make up I don’t care how look with it. For me is most important preserving my skin quality. Lot of make up damage skin faster and I see every day how some of those women’s skin is full wrinkles from the make up damage.
The minimalist approach is such a time and money saver! I just love it. And without all those layers and layers...base layer, foundation, powder ...people can actually see the natural texture of your skin and how well it is maintained. Most women have nothing to hide or cover up...except insecurity...which is a marketing tool...for caterpillars!
Marie-Anne, merci! I was hoping you would share this, as my family is French and my aunts and mother had a lovely complexion and not too much makeup! I love the no make-up look, less is better! I like your idea of adding moisturizer to BB cream. You never mentioned sunscreen - spf - do you use when you go out? A bientot!💕
Norma Zaharioudakis to any cosmetic counter and ask for some. Or Google it, I'm sure you look get a wide variety to choose from. It's very good and make s the skin look much better..
Thank you for this lovely video! Short hair is also always a style with many options - with longer hair you can wear it down ( requiring a lot of maintenance ) or up. That’s it.
This is great advice for woman with a natural beauty and defined features, however, I have a light complexion with blonde eyebrows and lashes which blend into a nothing look.
I never wear makeup.. i was never much into it..I’m so pale I wear factor 50 sun cream. If I’m out for an evening I just wear mineral magic powder and a little blusher and lip stick.. and that’s it...😍
I applaud your method but I am, sadly, unable to follow it because I have Roseaccia & I have to cover it....otherwise "people" ask why my skin is so red. Strangers can be cruel & red skin is not "acceptable" !
I have the same problem (and have had complete strangers ask why my face is so red) and have to wear makeup. I try to keep it minimal. I have Paula's Choice skincare and makeup to be helpful.
I have rosacea, I like Omiana. Much of the makeup that we wear makes it worse. You will find as I did that mica and titanium oxide makes the rosacea worse. Turmeric masks is something you can try as well.
I got from my Dr on prescription, Metronidazole cream for Rosacea, it worked for me, and I suffered for years before with it .. ask your Dr if it would be suitable for you
I love this video. Could you please do more videos about make up and skin care and how to stay slim ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😁😁😁 thank you for your channel. I am huge fan
Hi Marie-Anne, thank u for the reply❤. I thought of using a little illuminating liquid for a glow on my cheeks, am going to experiment! Your channel has helped me alot in choosing tasteful clothes🌻.
Brilliant! The only thing I do different is lipstick. I have always worn cool red lipstick, and have fairly full lips. Unfortunately I am now finding it makes me look SO much older. Any input? Thank you God bless Mrs.O
Hahahaha, catepillar eyebrows! That really made my day! Had to laugh so hard. :-D You know, when I was young, like in the 80s, we use to pluck our eyebrows very thin. In 1980 the movie "The Blue Lagoon" came out, with Brooke Shields in the leading role. We use to make so much fun of her eyebrows back then, because she had really thick ones compared to our "Marlene Dietrich" style ones. :-D Every time we saw a woman with thick eyebrows on the street, we would call them her "Brooke-Shielder`s", lol ;-) Oh well, memories can sometimes be wonderfully commical. But evaluating Brookes eyebrows once more, and comparing them to the catepillars of today, I say, she didn`t look too bad then. ;-)
Are facials something that are regularly utilized in France? I notice that in the US people are obsessed with manicures and pedicures but what is really needed is a good facial to clear up the skin.
I totally agree with you about the horrid "caterpillar" eyebrow trend. Though you made this video 5 years ago, that weird style is still around. But I also don't like the pencil-line thin eyebrow style so often worn by the Latinas in the US. Not even my grandmother or mom wore their eyebrows that thin in their hay-day, which was a trend even for causations before I became a grown woman. I'm 66 to give a frame of reference of what generation Mom and Grandma were. Same thing goes for the false eyelashes! Like the name says, their are just so false/fake! I enjoy a lot of the old western TV series about the post civil war era in the US. The shows were made in the late '50's and into the '60's. The make-up "artists" for those TV shows put false eyelashes on the women of the 1880's. Even the ladies who lived and worked on a farm in these TV shows wore full make up like the women of the 1960's! It's just so silly. At least the costume designers dressed the female characters in era appropriate foundations.
I have an eyebrow issue...... it is aloepacia of the eyebrow, meaning no hairs, I have finally decided to have a feathering stroke of draw on hairs to be tattooed, it is very subtle and not heavy. I hope this would look alright in France. It is miserable drawing them on everyday. I’ve seen many block color style of eyebrow tattoo, which looks ok but obviously fake. If you have any recommendations please share your thoughts. 🙂🙏 thank you
I like a light makeup look but as I am tall I will never do the short hair. I will wear it up or tied back but I also like the option of having it longer. I think as we age we know what suits us as individuals and I play up my eyes but not my lips which are full and stand out even with soft lipstick: really what it comes down to is poorly applied makeup that is the wrong shade for your skin tone. Not every colour trend needs to be explored and always less is more.
Yelrihs Wens I use By Terry cc cream that is in a serum formulation. Very light, doesn't really cover imperfections but blurs some imperfections. Cream blush from By Terry add some colour to pale skin. As for the hair, I have to wear it long as we have very cold winter season for many months.
I so agree about the make-up- I am now in my 70's but have always wanted to seem the same every day and for a special day- It is such a sudden shock to see women I know at a party and they have dyed their hair, had it overly styled and are loaded with heavy make-up. I actually did not recognize one of my also elderly cousins whom I had seen at her home without make-up and her hair grey just a week before.
My mom would say not so nice things to me if I used too much makeup. I use no more than a pea size amount of foundation, mascara, lipgloss, and blush. I also don’t over style my hair.
I personally LOVE color especially with eyeshadows and lipsticks. However I am trying more and more to tone it all down even though I love experimenting with makeup. I am one who has to use foundation because sometimes my skin is red in some areas and really it is just to make my skin one color really. As for winged liner and fake lashes, I realize a wing doesnt look good on me (I've tried to perfect it but I just cant) and false lashes look ridiculous. Some American women use way too much mascara and if I do that, my lashes hit my browbone and get black on them 🤣
!Bonjour Marie-Anne! The first French actress that came to my attention is Catherine Deneuve! She has the classic French Look , ?non? Elle est tres Belle et tres populair dans les Etats Unis 1970's. Une questione: I wanted to ask about make-up is what do you think of the "cat eye"? Je 'me demand si peut-etre il fait bien pour la nuit? Votra amie, Anita 'l'Americaine. !Merci Beaucoup!
Last year in Paris I saw a lot of women with long hair too. long but rather plain. classic. what I wonder is, what about those, who style like guesch patti back in the 80s. you know, artists. I saw her about 10 years ago. she still stood out with her look, although she had that rather moderate french style too. In the 80s and 90s, there was a phase, where you could see often in french movies or french singers, when thy styled themselves for performance, using a lot of jackets, coats, shoes etc. in an modern twist of the time of the french revolution. e.g. in the french movie Le goût des autres Mme Anne Alvaro wears a long overcoat in a few scenes it looks a bit like a twist of that style. would you like to show us something of that direction? things, people would rather buy in some small boutiques. things, you can't find everywhere, no matter, if there are a lot of french women actually wearing it or not. that would be great.
I always believed wearing heavy make-up draws the natural color from the skin and skin texture is not as refined and blemish free. Now being older most natural coloring has faded so I wear more make up than ever. I use tinted sunscreen and or mineral powder as it is a natural sunscreen softer colors especially eyeliner not black but dark brown, gray etc is softer and a bit more alluring
In other words, French women (and some Aussies [plenty actually]) let THEIR beauty shine, instead of wanting someone else's. I get it -- fully. Must have something to do with our shared _terra rosa_ soils, great wines and cheeses, sunshine, and la belle vie.... 😉
It's a cream that is quite sheer and you match it to your skin. It helps even out slight differences in your skin tone. It also has moisture, SPF and a few other beneficial ingredients. I like it.
As a fair skinned redhead, I tint my lashes and eyebrows and look a lot better, I dislike mascara and having to put it on every day, also saves money, my home tint kit lasts a year. I agree about the overdone look, very harsh in daylight.
Because in Europe most woman age gracefully. They don't stop taking care of tgemselves. But here aging is a word that should not be even thought. So create a built up of make up until you look like a Venetian Carnival mask. Cover, cover, cover at all costs. Leading to premature aging.
Marie-Anne Lecoeur totally agree! That’s why I don’t believe in fashion trends. Your habits create your own particular style and defines your unique authentic personality. I can’t live trying to be somebody else or buying what everyone wears. To this day people tell me “I know you are at work because I can smell you.” Upon inquiring what does that mean, they refer to my cologne. I’ve been using Givenchy Gentleman since I was 13. I’m 56 now. It complements me perfectly my personality. Seldom change cologne except for night formal occasions. Style and quality are never out if they suit you.
@@MarieAnneLecoeur Not to mention, if you do heavy makeup daily you must spend about 30 minutes or more and then spend a lot of time to take it off before bed.

Yes I was going to comment the same thing 🤣
I have been watching your amazing videos for two weeks now, loving everything, thank you so much Marie-Anne.

It would be nice if you could share some of the products you use. Your lip color is very nice!
Love your videos. You are so elegant and classic. Thank you for sharing your wisdom!
I've just started going more natural, just using foundation, starting feeling I was over made up, thank you for the advice

I love your sensible way with makeup. BTW, the square neckline is a good look on you.
Liberty Hussein you rediscovered your beauty. Your real natural beauty. Awesome.
Thank you Marie Anne, love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Thank you for sharing this interesting insight into French style
Absolutely less is better, because ultimately that is who you have “ your best self “ and we have to celebrate that.
I love the natural look, with a beautiful, neat haircut. It makes getting ready more time effective and you present your true self to the world.
I also love your lip colour. Very pretty shade for sure!
your best makeup is your beautiful spirit
Lovely. I really like that clean fresh look. Very pretty. Good tips!
Thank you. I’ve been following and listening well . Your sensible advice is well taken by me.
Merci pour votre vidéo! Si vous ne connaissez pas encore la maquilleuse Violette Serat, je vous la recommande fortement :) Elle est concentrée toujours sur la beauté vraiment naturelle avec des petits accents artistiques.
This was refreshing, thank you.
I am a pale natural blonde and I must have a bit of eyeshadow and mascara, I use bright lipstick because it helps me light up my face. I never use false eyelashes or glued on lashes.
Bonjour Marianne!
Love your shirt! Tailored and very sharp. I totally agree about makeup. Less is more.
Long nails are gross 😵
I just found your videos, love them, and I agree with you totally. thanks for share your ideas.
greetings from México.
Thank you for this video. I also use a no make up look and I love it. 👍
I’m exactly the same, no mask mascara blush lipstick I’m done! I love the eyebrow comment hilarious 😂
J'aime votre voix et style❤
Fabulous advice. You are right about everything.
What about sunscreen ? I would never go out without sunscreen even in winter !!
Thank you!
Love that statement necklace
Marie-Anne, merci! I was hoping you would share this, as my family is French and my aunts and mother had a lovely complexion and not too much makeup! I love the no make-up look, less is better! I like your idea of adding moisturizer to BB cream. You never mentioned sunscreen - spf - do you use when you go out? A bientot!💕
What’s BB cream
Norma Zaharioudakis to any cosmetic counter and ask for some. Or Google it, I'm sure you look get a wide variety to choose from. It's very good and make s the skin look much better..
Agree this is 100% French style regarding makeup style👌👍👍👍 we french are just like this 🇫🇷💖🇫🇷😘 just little one thing as a french I love ❤️ long hair
John Frieda frizz ease is fantastic , just a tiny amount worked into hands first then gently bring it down top layer of hair voila !! No more frizz xx
Deborah Craven, the Doterra Root to Tip Serum is natural and awesome for healthy hair and get rid of any frizz.
Thank you for this lovely video! Short hair is also always a style with many options - with longer hair you can wear it down ( requiring a lot of maintenance ) or up. That’s it.
Very nice. Simple. I like that.
This is great advice for woman with a natural beauty and defined features, however, I have a light complexion with blonde eyebrows and lashes which blend into a nothing look.
Margaret Tonkin I think that's where the art of it comes in. Deciding what your face needs and doesn't need.
"Those caterpillars got me laughing loud".
Artlover have you tried IT Cosmetics’ Bye Bye Redness? It’s amazing for rosacea...and looks natural x
I have the same problem (and have had complete strangers ask why my face is so red) and have to wear makeup. I try to keep it minimal. I have Paula's Choice skincare and makeup to be helpful.
A couple of IPL (intense pulsed light) treatments will eliminate the redness of rosacea and of dilated capillaries.
I have rosacea, I like Omiana. Much of the makeup that we wear makes it worse. You will find as I did that mica and titanium oxide makes the rosacea worse. Turmeric masks is something you can try as well.
I got from my Dr on prescription, Metronidazole cream for Rosacea, it worked for me, and I suffered for years before with it .. ask your Dr if it would be suitable for you
Thank you I shall try this because I hate how foundation feels and looks on my skin!
Caterpillars and spiders, you are so funny. I love your videos.
I got eyeliner pencil in a gift-with-purchase and tried a little on my brows. It works! No special product needed, if you don’t want...
Merci, Marie-Anne
I love this video. Could you please do more videos about make up and skin care and how to stay slim ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😁😁😁 thank you for your channel. I am huge fan
Please tell me what kind of B.B. cream you use?
Hi Marieanne, thx for the video 🌹do u use illuminating /bronzing powder sometimes?
Hi Marie-Anne, thank u for the reply❤. I thought of using a little illuminating liquid for a glow on my cheeks, am going to experiment! Your channel has helped me alot in choosing tasteful clothes🌻.
Brilliant! The only thing I do different is lipstick. I have always worn cool red lipstick, and have fairly full lips. Unfortunately I am now finding it makes me look SO much older. Any input?
Thank you
God bless
Mrs.O
But evaluating Brookes eyebrows once more, and comparing them to the catepillars of today, I say, she didn`t look too bad then. ;-)
Hello ,
I love your videos.
I totally agree with you, I love your video
Caterpillars and spider legs hahaha
True true. I love all your videos. Thanks Marie-Ann
Glad you enjoyed this video Michelle - my make up videos never got that much of a following 🤷♀️
BB cream for younger woman, CC works better for 45 on down
Yelrihs Wens I use By Terry cc cream that is in a serum formulation. Very light, doesn't really cover imperfections but blurs some imperfections. Cream blush from By Terry add some colour to pale skin. As for the hair, I have to wear it long as we have very cold winter season for many months.
IT cosmetics created by dermatologists they do a great CC cream...natural and subtle ....easy to apply and 50SPF too.
Great videos..
You are my role model - hope you don't mind but I've copied your style as appropriate for me!!! ☺
Some American women use way too much mascara and if I do that, my lashes hit my browbone and get black on them 🤣
Merci. Tres chic.
Madame, can you please tell us about how French women look after their skin? Merci!
Oooh dear, here in the UK, me included it's a full face before I go out.
I need all the help I can get.
False eyelashes look awful on most women.
Sandi Small some of Asian girls look cute with false eyelashes
I have eczema so I cant really wear foundation :/ love your videos by the way
!Bonjour Marie-Anne!
@@MarieAnneLecoeur :-D
What about sunscreen? I love the no makeup look as well.
YOUUUUU LIVE IN A 300yrs OLD STONE COTTAGE WOW THAT'S SO COOL
Never waist my time on make up ... Just skin care plus good long lasting moisturizer and that is it :)
What is BB cream, please?
Bonjour Marie-Anne et merci pour l’info!
In other words, French women (and some Aussies [plenty actually]) let THEIR beauty shine, instead of wanting someone else's.
I get it -- fully.
Must have something to do with our shared _terra rosa_ soils, great wines and cheeses, sunshine, and la belle vie.... 😉
Hahhaha. Black caterpillars. Great description
I'm blonde and i'm trying to balance very pale eyebrows and eyelashes
What is BB cream?
It's a cream that is quite sheer and you match it to your skin. It helps even out slight differences in your skin tone. It also has moisture, SPF and a few other beneficial ingredients. I like it.
As a fair skinned redhead, I tint my lashes and eyebrows and look a lot better, I dislike mascara and having to put it on every day, also saves money, my home tint kit lasts a year. I agree about the overdone look, very harsh in daylight.
You said it right. Make up should not be mask-like.
I prefer groomed brows, mascara and a lip color daily. I think it is more flattering than heavy foundation and too much contouring.
@@MarieAnneLecoeur Not to mention, if you do heavy makeup daily you must spend about 30 minutes or more and then spend a lot of time to take it off before bed.
I like the natural look make up, it is just so easy and fast to do it, and I don't like at all those long( look how fake I look) eyelashes.
