Skinny jeans solution suggestion; I had the same issue with a wardrobe full of skinny jeans that I had no desire to wear anymore (after being bullied into wearing them by society and abandoning my beloved flares), so I frankensteined two pairs together so there was a seam down the front and back of each leg and bam - baggy/mom jeans. You end up with half as many pairs but if you'll wear them then I guess it's still a net gain! I love mine and wear them all the time
I had the same issue, I've never suited skinny jeans, but I literally couldn't find anything but them for so long, I ended up with about 3 pairs. BUT .... I'm glad that you were able to take a little break, and I'm honoured that you chose this little video to spend your time. ❤️❤️ I hope it chills out for you soon and you can get some well earned battery recharge time! thought this was just gonna be buying clothes. cool to you just making clothes your gonna be wearing! just finished the video they all look so good! love the dress and skirt. really cute tops with all the strings. do love the hand embroidery too!
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it - that's what I love about the making process, the end result feels extra special. I wore an entirely me-made outfit going out last night and it feels so cool!
ATE. I feel like people are so used to fast fashion (ex. Skinny jeans!) so it’s great to see you encouraging people to start sewing for fun, even though mistakes will be made! Love your videos, Ash! 👍
Are you kidding me?! You made all that?! And everything looks beautiful!!! Ash, you should be so proud of yourself! 👏👏👏 And if I have to pick a favorite it would be the long greyish linen dress 😍😍😍
Thank you so much! I am proud, I didn't think the clothes would all go together so well. I bought that grey fabric about 4 years ago with the intention of making a maxi dress, so glad I finally got around to it!
It's such a journey to discover ones style! I'm still exploring mine and I also still need basics because I keep making fancy dresses too. I love how long this video is, you are such a comfort watch.💖
Sweet RNGesus!! Love each and every thing you made but the vest is S T E L L A R!! It looks so comfy and cozy and the embroidery? Hello? Ultra cute!!!!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Love love love the clothes you made. Loved the reveal. It was all absolutely awesome. I was waiting for you to post the video and as always the results a stellar. Well done ❤
The treadmill footage is AWESOME 🙌 I love the b+w colour scheme. I love the balance of separates to dresses (I too am a convert to the way of the ready made put together outfit that is the dress). My favourite is the vest 🤩 the embroidery is 👌😘 PS I lost 😂
Ironing is so important, I really like that you mentioned why you keep it in. This was such a great vid. I didn't even notice the windows until you asked about them lol.
During the skinny jean phase I mostly shopped the second hand shops, so I was mostly able to avoid them. But, yeah, every decade the power that be decide what's going to be available in shops and don't leave us with much of a choice. Unless you have a decent relationship with your sewing machine. Honestly, I don't really exist in the shops and sewing seems like the only way out of the conundrum of the modern fashion environment. Good for you for power sewing your wardrobe. Everything looks spectacular. Loving the runway... vest is the best... And don't feel bad about doing mock-ups - the professionals usually run between three and six of them for any single project. Vests are hard. Don't know why, just are. Post lock-down me is incapable of winning staring contests. Even through computer screens. Sigh. - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown/Pimisi
Totally! It's the whole thing of these companies choose what's available - and limit the supply of the things we like behind either high prices or exclusivity. People are left with no choice but to get the latest, unless the can thrift or sew! I hope you're both going well Cathy! How's the cooler weather treating you? I'll tell you what I'd much rather be in Canada right now 😂
Wow! That reveal looked like a proper fashion collection. You absolutely nailed your brief and everything really suited you, including the jacket. My favourites were the Teddy Gillette and the linen trousers. On a side note, I've been pretty sick for the last week, so your video was exactly what I needed, even though every time I laughed, it started a coughing fit. ❤
Okay, I love long content and this will surely be my comfort content to keep me company while I overhaul my craft room next month. To answer your questions, I don't think the windows in the background are distracting because they're so high up and you can't really see out of them. Also, it's not distracting when you move into different spots to film, but I also don't notice it until you point it out because I am oblivious. Finally, I did win the staring contest. ✨✨✨ As far as my favorite piece, I am a fan of pants with pockets, but the embroidered vest is probably my favorite because of the care and customization and I'm a sucker for cozy. Congratulations on figuring out the problem with your sewing machine and also I hope you stay cool for your summer season. Thank you for your time!
Thank you so much Kayte! I need to do a solid overhaul soon too, good reminder 😂 and thank you for being here for every video! I appreciate you endlessly ❤️❤️
@ashbentley I am absolutely thrilled to be a follower of you. I love your videos no matter what the content even though the sewing ones are my favorite, and you're so chill and so cool. I wish we could be friends in real life. I wish you nothing but the best this holiday season and good luck with your craft room overhaul! I know I would need it. 😅
I love love love videos when people sew an entire wardrobe!!!! thank you for making it 50 minutes long lol I'm having so much fun knitting alongside you while you sew 🥰
Not done watching but wanted to comment anyhow 😀 I was like wow 54 minutes, but of course I'll watch it! I love your chaotic energy, passes by in a jiff ❤
This is absolutely incredible, every piece looks so well made and professional (even through all the mistakes and complications!) - the fact the treadmill part took 3 hours alone for you to make (edit: I think I have rewatched the reveal 3 times already) just shows how many HOURS you put into this video. Everything looks beautiful, I have a soft spot for the grey dress and black crop top with all the ties ! Wishing you all the love and luck with your wardrobe and your viewership!!! Eeeeee 🖤
Whoa, absolutely blown away by your wardrobe curation and how beautifully finished each piece is in such a short timeframe! And that treadmill reveal??? Are you kidding me?? 🤯 SO GOOD!
Oooohhhh I trust Gertie too. I have will definitely have a look at that, because I may have stashed away a pile of fabric for a boilersuit a year or so ago and recently found it... Thank you!🤗
Absolutely love that the algorithm brought me back to you!! I was DYING at 1:05 😂 almost spit out my coffee. Girl you're gorgeous and hilarious, and the outfits turned out incredible!!!!
OMG I love every piece you made!! But specially the vest!!!!!!!! It is so C U T E✨ I love it!!!!!! Also you always do your eye makeup so well but OMG the one with green you did is extra cool!!! I was in the same position a couple of years ago as you are with your pants but decided to "de-influence" my fashion sense and it was absolutely liberating!!!!!!! In the case you decide you don't want to wear those pants anymore you always have the option of making tons of cute bustiers and/or Corsets with 'em a-la Y2k!! 😄
Love that you did this! I even commented on one of your last videos that I thought you deserved this new wardrobe!!! It would be cool if you DIY a color analysis on yourself! I think you are a true winter… but it would be cool to see it!❤ also love your pieces!! Gorgeous vest and jacket!!!!
Thank you! It's so nice to have clothes to wear that I'm comfortable in. I hadn't thought of DIYing a colour analysis! I think I'm a Winter too! White and ice blue look good on me I think, and brown and orange really do not 😂
I actually love everything you made including the jacket! (although i understand your frustration if it didn't turn out exactly how you pictured). I also love that you can mix & match things. Gives a real cohesiveness to your wardrobe. I've never made a piece of clothing in my life, so you've blown my mind with your skill!
Pet Alfie! There is never enough pets! I also struggle with equipment... 'what do you want from me' and 'why are you so against this project?' is yelled often enough that my husband says I should just name each unit so I can get more personal with my insults. Rocky the lab rotator is my current nemesis. Men's skinny jeans have deep pockets?! I have always preferred flared jeans; I need flares to come into style for men (70s revival?) so I can raid their department now. And treadmill footage was worth it! My favorite was the white dress, all permutations!
OMG!!!! The treadmill reveal footage STUNNING!!! It's super smooth and, the way the beat drops at outfit changes, just chef's kiss!👌 I love the embroidered jacket! That wool is sooo cute n fluffy! I love this video! Now I really want to sew some clothes! Btw, so happy the finger lamp us staying! :D
That vest is gorgeous and my favorite item alongside the fluffy jacket and the hat (you did not make the black hat but it's so cool I want to steal it). Also I heard the words "staring contest" and immediately stopped blinking until you called quits so I won, sorry not sorry. I do admire your perseverance in picking and creating your own style, I did a similar process last year and it's still in the making but very satisfying, so have fun with it and keep up the good work! ✨
My suggestion is that you buy a lot of dye and dye all of the clothes you hate the color of!!! Another hack that I use all the time is decorating the clothes with embroidery, you immediately breathe life and personality into those clothes and they become a one of a kind piece pf art, because you personally customized them!!! There are a ton of easy embroidery designs out there that you can try 😊
This video is very inspirational. I've been wanting to revamp my wardrobe. Struggling is part of life. I know for sure that I'll struggle a lot. You could DIY the skinny jeans. There are several ways to transform skinny into wide or flare leg jeans.
The treadmill reveal was gorgeous, absolutely worth it! And I lost the staring contest because the cat decided to get in the way of the screen. 😸 I think my favourite is the white dress, because my personal vibes are tight at the top and flowy below the waist. Skinny jeans are absolutely terrible because they make it harder to sit like a gremlin in my chair and they never sit right on top of my sneakers. Boot cut all the way! I modified a pair of my jeans by adding a strip of wide lace in the side seam, highly recommend if you want just a little bit more room. Also I appreciate you showing the mistakes, it makes my ADHD ass feel seen because I make similar mistakes all the damn time.
As a long nails and crafting girly… you get used to it. Stilettos are the easiest shape for long nails, because you can use the sides of your fingertips without the nails getting in the way. Also they’re pointy and useful for poking things. Using the glue is much better. They will not rip your nails off, your nails are a stronger material than the glue, so the glue will fail first. Try some shorter ones first, work your way up to the claws once you get used to wearing them.
Oh thank you for the tips! I honestly wasn't sure if it was possible, and there are such pretty nails available. That's great to hear that you get used to it, I'll have to work up the courage to try the glue! 🖤
Gurrrrllll, all the tops??? All the dresses??? The skirts????? I have added them all to my to-make wishlist! 😆 I'm gonna have to check my pattern blocks, cause I made them 6-7 years ago, but dayum, I'm off to the races after that 🎉
That was the coolest reveal ever. Also everything looks so breezy and comfortable. You make it look so easy to make your own clothes but nothing I make turns out 😫
I don't know the first thing about sowing but I love your videos, always fun seeing what creative things end up being made in the end , also love your personality and the entertainment factor it brings, I am in my 30s and have been wearing skinny jeans since my teen years I will never wear anything else , I'm not very fashion forward .
I'm in the same boat. At 32 yrs old, I have no style vibe thats me. I just have clothes, some cute, mostly ones bought on a whim. And none of them go together lol I have three looks (cue Jenna Marbles song lol). I have my work look which is jeans and some form of black baggy sweater, my home look which is comfy slouchy clothes and my running errands on the weekend look which is whatever is left clean and accessible in my wardrobe which is a baggy t-shirt and tights lol I used to be pretty grunge goth and a little cottagecore. Now I am.... comfy 😂
If you're a similar size to me I can send you some 😂 Surely the op shops have them? I saw skinny jeans on the runway recently, so maybe they'll have a little come back 😊
Idea for the oatmeal clothes: a big ol vat of black sythetic dye, and some embroidery or patches. That's what i do when my wardrobe gets a little too normal
i started wearing skinny jeans like 15 years ago and the only thing that has changed to me is now they HAVE to be high waisted (althought on me they are often time midrise and best) for me to feel comfy in them. i find a pair thats nice and stretchy, buy another, cut holes in the knees to support my gremlin stitting style, wear them to death where the holes between my thighs appear and can no longer wear them in public, turn them into shorts and try and find another pair i like (bc ofc by that time they stopped making that exact pair of jeans i liked). so far that worked for me very well. and by now i feel more comfy wearing skirts too but skinny jeans are always my go to when i want to be comfy which always baffles people but i think i just like the compression (it's like having a weighted blanked on you to me ig?) while other people find it uncomfortable lol
I love your videos so much! They make me happy ❤ Love, love everything you made and OMG that reveal was AMAZING!!! Will you try dyeing your other clothing?
Skinny jeans- for me personally I love both skinny jeans and baggy ones. I still wear skinny jeans quite often and I judt love how they look. A nice alternative if you want something to do with them is making them into jean shorts. When I was younger, and even now, I prefer jorts, ending off at a little below mid-thigh, snd so my mom would buy jeans and we'd cut and sew them to length. It's actually perfect and I do it if I ever find myself hating the cut of a pair of jeans, just cutting them into shorts!
As a crafty nail girly who hand sews and cross stitches, you do eventually get used to them to the point of actively using them to do things. I use my acrylics to push needles through thick fabric without hurting my finger pads. It really isn't the same with press on nails though because you can't put as much pressure on them
@ashbentley aha it's certainly an adjustment period that's for sure. I've been getting acrylics on for nearly 10 years now. I didn't start with my little daggers, I started with nails barely longer than my nail bed. Every time I have them off for a break now I find it really odd to adjust to doing things without them 😅
I love the Severus hair! I think you did a great job on all of them. My favorite is the maxi dress but all of the items are well suited for you! Congratulations on finding (and finishing) a new style for yourself. I love your videos. PS: I won the staring contest, which is pretty awesome considering I have that neurodivergent inability to look people in the eyes! 😊 PPS: I love the long videos and have watched most of yours all the way through and I like seeing the reality of sewing including mistakes and ironing!
for whatever reason I couldn't put a comment on this from my phone so I opened my laptop back up so I could leave my brainwords here. :) I stared at the thumbnail for a moment before realising "OH SHE FINALLY FINISHED THE THING!" And it's okay I can't hear the noise over the sound of the failing fan in my laptop :) I'm so stoked for you that you have this whole new collection of garments that you're happy with and feel comfortable in!, and getting good use out of the momentum-hyperfocus train to get it all done! would take me like 8 months to do less than half of this from sheer "Eh I should do this but ehhhhh". Very inspirational to see the productivity ^^ OH and your hair is lovely. So bouncy and a good length :)
You're so sweet going to so much effort to comment! I appreciate you 🖤 Yes omg I actually had more things I wanted to make but I needed to call it somewhere 😂 As someone who has never done haul shopping (who can afford it other than influencers??) I've never had a cohesive collection of clothes, because there is usually so much time between purchases. Speedrunning this really was the only way for my brain to approach it, because if I didn't we'd have more unfinished items like the mock up pants from 7 years ago 😅 And thank you! I finally happy with my hair again!
@ashbentley pants from the past sounds like a good surprise though xD and impressive they fit right still! I don't understand how people have just that much disposable income to go shopping regularly instead of yannow once or twice a year as things wear out. I say, buying fabric multiple times a year instead.... 😂 Of course I had to leave a comment before I went to sleep, otherwise I might have forgotten to and you put so much effort in! Not just the hype talking, but you did really good and I think everyone here agrees that we're proud of you for the insane amount you accomplished :) in spite of the unpicking and tension problems. Just remember it's okay to not go bigger with each video... 😂💚
These turned out so good! Everything looks great and it all works well together. Very impressive wardrobe expansion. I really like the vest, it’s so cute and cozy looking. Yes I won the staring contest, and I have always hated skinny jeans. I am a cargo girl through and through, because pockets and comfort lol Anyway, the end footage was great, you look so happy and confident in everything!
Thank you! I was honestly surprised at how well everything went together. Cargo pants for the win seriously. I accidentally donated my best pair over 10 years ago and I've searched for them ever since 🥲 And I did feel happy and confident in the reveal! 🖤🖤
I have two outfits to make for two functions next weekend! You've just given me the kick up the bum I needed! Thank you. Love your style, O and just subscribed!!
You could upcycle the jeans! Take them apart and make a bag or a patchwork jacket! Or take two pairs of skinny jeans and Frankenstein them together into a patchwork pair thats in the current silhouette.
These look really awesome and well thought out, very easy to combine! I struggled for the longest time to make things that actually work together instead of a bunch of statement pieces. I do feel like there's no real need to pin down a 'personal style', and I've been a lot more creative with my sewing since I let go of that idea. I work for a vet so on weekdays I have to wear a scrub top and practical clothes I don't care about (so many bodily fluids and hair) but on days off I like to have fun with different vibes.
Thanks so much for what you do - what ever field you're in, wearing scrubs mean you're in the practice of some kind of supporting - and I love it and you for doing it ❤️
Oh my got! I have so much to say. Hello! I just found your channel via this video. Guess the algoritm heard my swearing about it yesterday and felt it was time to get a grip and deliver. So Hi!! :D I relate haaard to a lot of what you talk about. I have so much "ok, it fits and doesn't hurt" clothes and its a real struggle to find a style again. But! About those bags of pricey jeans! What I thank my past self for doing is saving my shit. Its awesome to dig around and find stuff I'm excited to see again after a couple of years and its so nice to not have to go shopping (mostly thrifting in my case) for clothes or fabric when I need or want something. Skinny jeans might not be my personal jam ever again though... Any how! This is the first of your videos I see and I sit here, with a terrible cold and reply to you talking. Feels like sitting in a friends room, chatting, instead of just feeling like a run over badger with a coarse voice. Thanks for interneting, look forward to see eveeeerything you've posted here :,)
also! I love the finger lamp. Hilarious that the ones on the foot/leg?? are magnets. The whole collection of things you made in this video looks really good together. my favorites is definitely the vest with embroidery and the long dress
Hello! A few people have had issues with the audio track, so I have turned off automatic dubbing for the channel for now. Hopefully that fixes it! 😅
I love that you're showing the mistakes and ironing and all that palaver. Sewing is fun, but it's also work.
Thank you, I appreciate that 🤗 I just hope I'm not putting anyone off sewing! Also, I'd never heard the word palaver before, thank you for teaching me a new word ❤

That's so lovely to hear! It was a lot of work 😅, I'm glad you enjoyed it 🖤🖤🖤
Pirate shirts and ripped denim shorts!!!❤❤
Tuck the shirt in, and it's immediately leveled up- everyone should wear that combo.
That treadmill footage was so good! It was artful and dramatic and you should be very proud of it.
(Also, the blending into the wall bit was funny 😂)
I asked Thomas if it was a fit and he said no! I was kinda feelin' it 😅 And thank you so much! I tried so hard at that treadmill footage 🤗🤗

Are you kidding me?! You made all that?! And everything looks beautiful!!! Ash, you should be so proud of yourself! 👏👏👏
And if I have to pick a favorite it would be the long greyish linen dress 😍😍😍
Thank you so much! I am proud, I didn't think the clothes would all go together so well. I bought that grey fabric about 4 years ago with the intention of making a maxi dress, so glad I finally got around to it!
Hot dang! The reveal was so cool! You made some awesome clothes and a great video!!!
Thank you!! I was honestly so worried about the reveal, we had the greyest week and I struggled to light it properly. I'm glad you liked it!
I think all black outfit looks good literally on everyone. Black is modest, edgy, elegant, sexy and mysterious all at the same time
This is going right in the sewing and clothes making motivation playlist! 🤩🙌
Oh yay!! Tag me in instagram with what you make!! I'd love to see it!
Woo gremlin lady time :P
😅😁
It's such a journey to discover ones style! I'm still exploring mine and I also still need basics because I keep making fancy dresses too. I love how long this video is, you are such a comfort watch.💖
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, I love a long comfort watch too 😊❤️
Sweet RNGesus!!
Well done ❤
Thank you ❤️❤️
love the project collection growing in the background.
The house lamp, witch on the mannequin, a staff and the finger lamp. pure gold 💖
I'm so happy you noticed!! It's slowly getting there 😊
The treadmill footage is AWESOME 🙌 I love the b+w colour scheme. I love the balance of separates to dresses (I too am a convert to the way of the ready made put together outfit that is the dress). My favourite is the vest 🤩 the embroidery is 👌😘
PS I lost 😂
Thank you so much!! It was so fun 🥰
Ironing is so important, I really like that you mentioned why you keep it in. This was such a great vid. I didn't even notice the windows until you asked about them lol.
It is!! Thank you so much ❤️❤️🥰
I love long videos! your dedication to making these videos (how do you even keep a 50 minute video interesting??) always surprises me!
Wow, thank you! That's really lovely of you to say 🥰
I'll tell you what I'd much rather be in Canada right now 😂
A+++ the treadmill reveal was amazing gonna rewatch the whole thing again
Aw thank you so much! 🖤🖤🖤
Thank you so much!! ❤️🥰❤️
As far as my favorite piece, I am a fan of pants with pockets, but the embroidered vest is probably my favorite because of the care and customization and I'm a sucker for cozy.
Congratulations on figuring out the problem with your sewing machine and also I hope you stay cool for your summer season.
Thank you for your time!
Thank you so much Kayte! I need to do a solid overhaul soon too, good reminder 😂
and thank you for being here for every video!
My favorite is the Grey dress and the jacked. It is such a vibe😮
Linen maxi dress is my fave too.
🥰🥰
I love love love videos when people sew an entire wardrobe!!!! thank you for making it 50 minutes long lol I'm having so much fun knitting alongside you while you sew 🥰
It was so fun!!!
Not done watching but wanted to comment anyhow 😀 I was like wow 54 minutes, but of course I'll watch it! I love your chaotic energy, passes by in a jiff ❤
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I’m heading for sixty this December (23). I own/wear converse shoes to this day. Enjoy discovering your style, and dress for you. ❤
I love this! Also happy nearly birthday!! ❤️❤️🥳🥳
white dress and the last linen pants stole my heart! also, your dog is just adorable 🥰
I'm in LOVE with them!! And thank you!! I have given Alf a pat for you 😊
This is absolutely incredible, every piece looks so well made and professional (even through all the mistakes and complications!) - the fact the treadmill part took 3 hours alone for you to make (edit: I think I have rewatched the reveal 3 times already) just shows how many HOURS you put into this video. Everything looks beautiful, I have a soft spot for the grey dress and black crop top with all the ties ! Wishing you all the love and luck with your wardrobe and your viewership!!! Eeeeee 🖤
Thank you so much!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Whoa, absolutely blown away by your wardrobe curation and how beautifully finished each piece is in such a short timeframe! And that treadmill reveal??? Are you kidding me?? 🤯 SO GOOD!
Thank you so much!!!
Everything looks so awesomeeee, well done youuuuu
Thank you so much! I've been wearing my new clothes all week, I'm so happy with them 😊
Oh and … i don’t know if you wear them.. but stretchy non tight boilersuits. They are genius . I want one in every color. Great with converse shoes 😊
Ooh yes! I've been eyeing some up, gotta get on that.
Gertie has a 1940's Rosie the riveter style boiler suit I have downloaded and is on my wishlist. I would love to watch you see one up!
Oooohhhh I trust Gertie too. I have will definitely have a look at that, because I may have stashed away a pile of fabric for a boilersuit a year or so ago and recently found it... Thank you!🤗
Love this! Honestly can't pick a favourite.
Oh thank you! 🤗
I loved the walk on the treadmill for the reveal!
Thank you! I literally only thought of it the day before I filmed it 😂😂
Hi Ash, it was so worth the wait for this video. You are fun to watch.
Thank you for being here! ❤️
Oh my word!!!! I loved your “blonde” look sooooo much!!!
Oh thank you! I appreciate that. I always felt like it made my eyes pop in an unsettling way 😂
Absolutely love that the algorithm brought me back to you!!
I was DYING at 1:05 😂 almost spit out my coffee. Girl you're gorgeous and hilarious, and the outfits turned out incredible!!!!
Welcome back!! Thank you so much!
The dresses are so beautiful, I would wear the heck out of them! ❤❤
Thank you!! ❤️❤️
Thank you so much!!! That's so kind and lovely ❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰
I looooove the idea of a bustier or corset! I've added it to the list!
@@ashbentley You are welcome!! thank you for the inspiration and the great vibes!!! And looking forward to you doing awesome corsets or bustiers!! 🥳🎉
1 hour of ash content lets goooo
🥳🥳❤️❤️
Love that you did this! I even commented on one of your last videos that I thought you deserved this new wardrobe!!! It would be cool if you DIY a color analysis on yourself! I think you are a true winter… but it would be cool to see it!❤ also love your pieces!! Gorgeous vest and jacket!!!!
Thank you! It's so nice to have clothes to wear that I'm comfortable in. I hadn't thought of DIYing a colour analysis! I think I'm a Winter too! White and ice blue look good on me I think, and brown and orange really do not 😂
I loooove your black hair and I looove those black hair black witchy gothy clothes gorlies aka you! So cool!!❤
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Thank you so much!!
the maxi skirt with the slit is my favorite but they all very much suit you. A+
actually, my favorite item is the finger lamp I'm so glad she's back
Thank you! And FINGER LAMP STAYS!
I actually love everything you made including the jacket! (although i understand your frustration if it didn't turn out exactly how you pictured). I also love that you can mix & match things. Gives a real cohesiveness to your wardrobe. I've never made a piece of clothing in my life, so you've blown my mind with your skill!
Thats so kind! Thank you so much ❤️
THE POCKETS ARE SO DEEP!!
And thank you so much! I loved the dress too.. So comfy and flowy!
Suuuch good staple pieces, you're a sewing wizard!!
🥰🥰🥰 Thank you!!
I love every outfit and your new hairstyle. Your videos are so much fun, love the energy and vibe that comes across ( and Alfred, of course)
Thank you so much!!! 🥰❤️🥰
So good. Love the vest and linen pants
me too!! They're so comfy!
Thank you!! It was hard, but so fun to make!
Thank you!! 🥰🥰❤️❤️
What an EPIC reveal Ash, that was incredible and had to rewatch it because it was so impactful! Cant wait to see what you make next!
Thank you!! It was tough but so much fun ❤️❤️
All of the items are gorgeous, but my absolute favorite is the hand-embroidered vest!
Thank you! I looooove the vest so much
Also the finger lamp NEEDED to come back, it's just too gooood hahaha😂❤
😂😂
Everything turned out so good, and fits u so well✨️ and i LOVE the vest! It looks so cool and cozy
🥰 Thanks so much!
Yes!! I'd love too give it a go!
OMG! Obsessed with your new clothes! My absolute favorite is the white dress but I love the grey dress and vest too. BEAUTIFUL STUFF!!!
They're so comfy!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Dr. Martens fits with everything imo 😅
Could you do a review on the juki sewing machine?
I hadn't thought of doing that, that's an interesting idea! Thank you 🖤
I love everything about this vid. You are a sewing goddess! 😍
🥰🥰❤️❤️ thank you thats so sweet!
This video is very inspirational. I've been wanting to revamp my wardrobe. Struggling is part of life. I know for sure that I'll struggle a lot.
You could DIY the skinny jeans. There are several ways to transform skinny into wide or flare leg jeans.
Do it! Making mistakes and learning is a big part of it 😊 I'd love to see what you end up making! If you have instagram, tag me in a picture!
The treadmill reveal was gorgeous, absolutely worth it! And I lost the staring contest because the cat decided to get in the way of the screen. 😸
I think my favourite is the white dress, because my personal vibes are tight at the top and flowy below the waist.
Thank you so much!! I'll take the win, give your cat a scritch of appreciation for me 😎😂
Soo many beautiful things. I like every single piece 💙🩵💜
Thank you Mim! 🥰🥰
All of those outfits were amazing 👏🏽 😍
Thank you!!!
Really nice new 'you' wardrobe!! Well done!! 👏 and you won 👀😄 Favorites the pants and the vest. 😊 Thanks and Greetings 👋
Thank you Miekeb! 🥰🥰❤️❤️
Gurrrrllll, all the tops??? All the dresses??? The skirts????? I have added them all to my to-make wishlist! 😆
I'm gonna have to check my pattern blocks, cause I made them 6-7 years ago, but dayum, I'm off to the races after that 🎉
Go go go!! Tag me in a picture of them when you're all done!! I'd love to see it!
I was excited when I saw how long this video is because I love you videos!
Thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
wait the pirate shirt ripped jean shorts slay though!!!!!! also i love what you came up with for your style it is sooo cute
Thank youuuuuu!!! 🥰❤️🥰
Also also also LOVE THE HAT!! Looks so good in you!❤
❤️🥰
I can confidently say I would wear every piece! It's inspired me to get the sewing machine out again! (It's been too long!!)
yay!!! Tag me in what you make! I'd love to see it!
Love the clothes you made ❤️ the grey dress is my favourite
Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
That was the coolest reveal ever. Also everything looks so breezy and comfortable. You make it look so easy to make your own clothes but nothing I make turns out 😫
Thank you! It was so fun! And I PROMISE if you keep at it, you'll get it!! Tag me in the stuff you make! I'd love to see it!
I don't know the first thing about sowing but I love your videos, always fun seeing what creative things end up being made in the end , also love your personality and the entertainment factor it brings, I am in my 30s and have been wearing skinny jeans since my teen years I will never wear anything else , I'm not very fashion forward .
My partner is the same - he'll die in his skinny jeans 😂
Thank you for being here and hanging out!! ❤️
Now I am.... comfy 😂
I'm so down for grunge/goth/comfy slob! Sounds perfect to me! ❤️❤️❤️
Loved all the pieces. Especially the grey dress! I enjoy your channel so much.
Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I still love my skinny jeans, but been looking for a new pair and can’t find them 😢
But I love my wide legged pants as well!
I love this idea... it's on the list!
i started wearing skinny jeans like 15 years ago and the only thing that has changed to me is now they HAVE to be high waisted (althought on me they are often time midrise and best) for me to feel comfy in them. i find a pair thats nice and stretchy, buy another, cut holes in the knees to support my gremlin stitting style, wear them to death where the holes between my thighs appear and can no longer wear them in public, turn them into shorts and try and find another pair i like (bc ofc by that time they stopped making that exact pair of jeans i liked). so far that worked for me very well. and by now i feel more comfy wearing skirts too but skinny jeans are always my go to when i want to be comfy which always baffles people but i think i just like the compression (it's like having a weighted blanked on you to me ig?) while other people find it uncomfortable lol
I love this!! Actual snort at gremlin sitting style 😂 My partner is the same too - he needs the tight fit compression to be comfortable!
I love your videos so much! They make me happy ❤ Love, love everything you made and OMG that reveal was AMAZING!!! Will you try dyeing your other clothing?
YOU make me happy!! Thank you for watching! ❤️❤️ I will try dyeing!
I love the idea of turning some into some cute shorts!
As a crafty nail girly who hand sews and cross stitches, you do eventually get used to them to the point of actively using them to do things. I use my acrylics to push needles through thick fabric without hurting my finger pads. It really isn't the same with press on nails though because you can't put as much pressure on them
I can't even begin to think how hard that would be!! You're amazing ❤️❤️ I could barely last 10 mins 😂
PPS: I love the long videos and have watched most of yours all the way through and I like seeing the reality of sewing including mistakes and ironing!
Thank you so much!! ❤️🥰
for whatever reason I couldn't put a comment on this from my phone so I opened my laptop back up so I could leave my brainwords here. :)
I stared at the thumbnail for a moment before realising "OH SHE FINALLY FINISHED THE THING!" And it's okay I can't hear the noise over the sound of the failing fan in my laptop :)
I'm so stoked for you that you have this whole new collection of garments that you're happy with and feel comfortable in!, and getting good use out of the momentum-hyperfocus train to get it all done! would take me like 8 months to do less than half of this from sheer "Eh I should do this but ehhhhh". Very inspirational to see the productivity ^^
OH and your hair is lovely. So bouncy and a good length :)
You're so sweet going to so much effort to comment! I appreciate you 🖤
Yes omg I actually had more things I wanted to make but I needed to call it somewhere 😂 As someone who has never done haul shopping (who can afford it other than influencers??) I've never had a cohesive collection of clothes, because there is usually so much time between purchases.
Speedrunning this really was the only way for my brain to approach it, because if I didn't we'd have more unfinished items like the mock up pants from 7 years ago 😅
And thank you!
Of course I had to leave a comment before I went to sleep, otherwise I might have forgotten to and you put so much effort in! Not just the hype talking, but you did really good and I think everyone here agrees that we're proud of you for the insane amount you accomplished :) in spite of the unpicking and tension problems. Just remember it's okay to not go bigger with each video... 😂💚
Yung planet!!! She's my favorite gothic babe❤😂
right!!?? 😂🥵
These turned out so good! Everything looks great and it all works well together. Very impressive wardrobe expansion.
I really like the vest, it’s so cute and cozy looking.
Yes I won the staring contest, and I have always hated skinny jeans. I am a cargo girl through and through, because pockets and comfort lol
Anyway, the end footage was great, you look so happy and confident in everything!
Oh! I'd love to see it!! If you have instagram, tag me! And welcome! I'm so glad you're here ❤️
You could upcycle the jeans! Take them apart and make a bag or a patchwork jacket! Or take two pairs of skinny jeans and Frankenstein them together into a patchwork pair thats in the current silhouette.
Yes! I'm keen to give that a try!
thank you for the continuing "i went to the store and got bread" and all of the alfmalf cameos. you're giving viewers the REAL story lmaooo!!
I know that he's the reason why 99% of people watch 😂😂
I wear my skinny jeans. Follow your own trend. Love how they fit in my boots. You’re doing amazing. Love the video.
Thanks so much ❤️
The vest is beautiful 😍
Thank you! ❤️❤️
Love the longer video ❤❤
❤️❤️
49:36 never stop with the sound effects 🤣🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
😂😂 Thank you!
