    Nice review! I wish you'd elaborate some more on the feel of the bow (draw smoothess, feel of the grip, ability to hold on target). I know that's somewhat subjective, but you're on the enviable position of being able to try out all the new bows, and you're a good archer.

    I would like to see the sound reading for each arrow shot. Just curious how much quieter, if any from lighter to heavier arrow.

  • @cbarnes6685
    @cbarnes6685 2 місяці тому +3

    On the sound, is the meter just picking up the arrow as it is going by and not the sound of the bow? I'm assuming you're using the same 350 grain arrows every time. I wonder if you tried different fletching and see if the sound level is different? Or is there enough of an echo in the room that everything sounds the same?
    Oh and ignore all the Debbie Downers complaining about every little thing. You're doing the most in depth reviews of anyone and it is appreciated.

  • @juniharoon
    @juniharoon 2 місяці тому +1

    Any chance ur sound meter is picking up the impact to the target even with the closed door behind it? Seems possible considering the numbers are so close. One way to check would be to check it outdoors with the target far away. Alternatively u can use ur super slow mo camera and see if u can separate the readout from when the bow actually fires and when it hits the target, presuming the read out updates that fast

    Will you add the measurement?The full draw stability.Which is the brace height at full draw, Lancaster archery said.That's why the PSE mock series is are so accurate at long ranges.Is because the brace height at full draw is almost 8 inches.I wanted to see what other bows are at full draw.

    I would love a video to show everyone how the let off adjustment effects draw length and performance. I think they’re all long because they ship them at 90%. I wonder if the company has a “factory” let off position to match the module position for correct draw?

    • @bpb8604
      @bpb8604 2 місяці тому +2

      Elite states on their mod chart that draw length and speed are measured at 80% let off so there’s you extra length. I’d assume if the let off were set down to 80% the draw length would be spot on.

    • @josephfolsom2030
      @josephfolsom2030 2 місяці тому

      @@bpb8604 The speed would go down as well

    • @PersonalBestOutdoors
      @PersonalBestOutdoors 2 місяці тому +1

      @josephfolsom2030 lower let off increases velocity. So the velocity would go up by reducing let off to 80%.
      At 70lbs and 90% let off equals 7lbs to hold the bow back.
      70lbs at 80% is 14lbs to hold at full draw.
      That increase in pressure helps to accelerate the arrow. You aren't getting an extra 20fps from it, only a couple extra fps.
      Sony believe me? Shoot your bow as is at 100yards. Change your let off to the opposite end of the spectrum.
      If your let off increased (80 to 90 percent) your arrow will impact lower.
      If you decreased your let off (90-80 percent) your arrow will impact higher.
      Happy Hunting!

  • @DanielMcleod-z1q

    I hear guys always talking about draw lengths and speeds short. When you have bows that go from 75-90 % letoff. 75% is most likely ( unless stated), some test at 80%. But when you go to 85-90% yes, your draw length is going to be a little longer, yes your speed is going to be down. That bow IS NOT 14 for under ibo. Set let off to 75% and you'll pick up another 5-8 fos . Plus this bow came in just over 70#. They can test up to 72#. So actually test a bow like they do, and you have your speed. Damn I get tired of hearing about bows being slow when it's the way they are being setup and shot is the problem. Not shirt ibo

      Depends if you specd your arrows for 60 or 70lbs and if it's maxed at 60 or turned down to 60. If it's a 70lb bow with a spine for 70lbs and you turn it down to 60 it's going to shoot a lot slower

    • @Illinoisarcheryandhunting
      @Illinoisarcheryandhunting 2 місяці тому

      It is for speed the more reflex = less brace height = a longer draw stroke so it would simulate the shooter has a longer draw length than what they actually have.

    • @nathanwiens108
      @nathanwiens108 2 місяці тому

      It's a limitation of limb length (they have to be a certain length to be able to properly flex and bend). If they could make the limbs 3" long, they'd be able to give every riser a deflexed design.

    • @daniels362
      @daniels362 2 місяці тому

    • @Illinoisarcheryandhunting
      @Illinoisarcheryandhunting 2 місяці тому +1

      @@daniels362 the more reflex you have it tends to make it torque easier and that will give you inconsistent impacts. Not a big deal if you are mostly shooting 40 yards and closer. If you have really good archery form it is not an issue.
