Hey Otter, great vid! Maybe you can help me. Can you please explain why when some mobs die, it will pop the elites but sometimes not. The way I understand it is that everything need to fall into the 0.5 seconds for the nuke to happen? Is that correct? Is this what will nuke the boss as well?
@@OperatorOtter ok awesome thanks so much! So its pretty much rng to hit that window... and its ofcourse better to target the mobs instead of elites right? Same with bosses ads? I should rather attack the ads?
@psyendacy Yep! Smart cookie. Juat make sure you focus the champions during pit runs > anything. Otherwise everything takes 90% damage reduction until they dead.
@SCM-or4fs If only one masterwork, yes. If double or triple crit on masterwork, resolve stacks are better. Double dips with colossal glyphs and the aspect of interdiction × redirected force aspect.
Two questions 1. Can the Kepeleke Effect still be achievable in either of these builds w no Mid Night Sun ring? 2. Can I assume all this info applies the same if I’m running an off meta Rake build (rake and wildfire ) vs (quill and Talon)
1. yes by having resource generation on your shroud + lucky hit to gain resource on your gloves, its less consistent, but with each quill having a chance to proc lucky hit its very likely most hits, and we get bigger dmg multipliers from it. 2. rake has a much lower lucky hit chance, especially only hitting 1 mob, so its less likely to happen but it should still math out yes.
im wearing everything for the Giga Boi Pit pushing setup, except i swapped the boots for a pair of yens blessings so than i can be ress capd, im still hitting for trillions of damage with yens on i dont see a reason to wear a pair of legendary boots other than more armour? and the aspect it gives? TLDR, is it important to be res capd? i know it helps with barrier generation without yens boots on my resistances are horrible even with 3 grand diamonds in jewelry
@Unscenedd The combo of: Barrier gen Life Dex Aspect All come together to give 5-6x more damage. (Yes, it's that much). They are by no means "needed," but it if you're trying to go for the fastest possible for yourself, leg boots are 100% the way to go.
In the giga pit push variant, I'm unable to keep up the permakepeleke status on single targets like a boss. Is there a resource cost reduction + chance to restore resource combo minimum break point that needs to be accomplished inorder to keep permakepeleke active even on single targets? Thanks for the vids explaining how/why all this works, really appreciate the deep dives.
@@carletongrasty884 if you're playing the Fell Soothsayer variant I believe it won't work on bosses with no adds. you need a boss that spawns adds in order to kill him.
Could the P200 orange quill complete Pit150? because all my gears are pretty similiair to this build the most and i dont want to grind for another to fail at tempering again
@@OperatorOtter is it true that the only thing that separates the same gear setup/build of crushing hand is the higher base attack speed and lucky hit procs of quill volley due to the multiple hits? Can the unrelenting aspect mimic those lucky hits as well as proc sooth and plains power in a similar fashion?
@AleXelerate8 Yes they absolutely can. The problem is, quill just intrinsically gets access to that many hits. With crushing you have to invest an aspect for it. This means quill volley gains access to an extra offensive aspects that crushing hands doesn't get. Crushing hands has to sacrifice an offensive aspects just to get what quill volley has intrinsically. (Redundancy to make point clear, apologies)
Is it better to masterwork quill ranks on gloves instead of HP? I have gloves with ga quill and regular hp, or ga hp with regular quill. Unfortunately don’t have gloves with both!
Thanks but not all of us have the shroud of false death a mythical i have none of so I doubt i will be clearing the 150 pits till I Aquire a mythical armour set
I still think there are multiple aspects with the legendary ring that will outscale RoSS, the Life roll alone is + 58%[x] damage because of how it triple dips, so if you have one more aspect that gives ~45%[x] damage, all of sudden the leg ring is still superior. The 2nd ring just unfortunately is much harder to get because you HAVE to have GA life and attack speed. If you dont have those both GA, then RoSS wins.
@@OperatorOtter Thank you for the very detailed reply. So GA life and attack speed are a must, but neither need to have any MW on both stats? I have a ring that does have GA on life and 1 MW on attack speed, which is higher than a GA attckspeed no MW.
@Pandemonium088 Each mw increases the base maximum of the statline by 25%. GA increases it by 50%. Each mw point respectively between 1-3, 5-7, and 9-11 increases the base stat by 5% So GA stat is worth 2 hits of a masterwork. But you REALLY want to triple masterwork crit the GA life. As it just scales TO THE MOON with viscous shield and the triple dipping mechanic. I cannot atm do napkin math to say whether or not the situation you are in would net you more than RoSS. But you can easily test it on dummy in training room and find out what works best for you.
@@OperatorOtter With so many numbers flying, I cannot tell if I am doing better or worse damage. I have my damage number set to normal and overpower. But thank you for the explanation. I'll try to land a 3x MW on the life stat.
@Pandemonium088 your white number damage is purely based on the orange numbers. Turn off normal damage and it will be much easier to see and get an idea for damage gain.
@pavvelgrz Very much so. The legendary helm gives resource and life, so the only thing your gaining with shako is +1k life and 4 to all skills. The legendary helm allows you to reach 123% barrier generation which is vital for viscous shield. But more so, the +13 resolve stacks give such an unbelievable amount of damage it's truly insane to grip your mind around. it's a factor of about 4-6x more damage, just the resolve stacks.
@@OperatorOtter thanks for an explanation. I tried that out ... but the results are not so promising as you have described. I compared A: Shako with GA on life + triple MW on life with B: 1 GA helm, the GA is resources + max rolls on resolved stack, aspect is apprehension (slow/fear damage bust). 2xMW on resolve stack, which makes it +9 to resolve stack. Within that comparison Shako makes around 1.5-2x more damage and allows me to clear pit130 one minutes faster (5min vs 6min) than with the legendary help. Maybe if I would have 2GA helm and/or triple MW on resolve stack, it would be better .. but at this time Shako is a winer to me.
@pavvelgrz You also have to take into account your aspect of interdiction roll and aspect of redirected force roll. If shako is doing more than you right now, then dont fix what aint broke, but there's literally no one in top 30 of pit clears running shako for a reason, food for thought.
@NhanNguyen-xk You can get there at 300 paragon as this video is talking about MIN/MAX. BUUUT, yes onE ring has dex which is why it planner we have dex on one ring for the P260 version.
ive been pushing and stuck at 147 for 2 days, ive got all the gear, correct rolls not 'triple crit ga' but that shouldnt matter, ive tried Starless and Plains ring and get giga fucked on constant Nangari mobs who wont die, champion packs everywhere Im not sure how people are clearing in 2 mins when soon as you pull a big pack with a champ mob you cannot hit them anymore due to either some enemy damage limit or what but they take too long to kill
I literally have shit gear, one GA in all my gear, im wearing a bricked ring... ok so i cleared a 149 in less than 6 minutes, one shot the boss from 95% to dead. I notice that when i engage a pack and my circle pops i do giga chad dmg, but if i don't immediately move to another pack i will lose time and fall behind. I really don't even need elites its almost better to blow up the adds and kill maybe an elite ot two but if not its fine I just need to move on quickly as possible to the next pack and I avoid DMG reduction affixes on elites.
Im paragon 270, and still stuck on 11% interdiction, +4 duelist (found 5 GA duelist the other day, all were 1-2 smh). This new aspect system really stinks!
Largest hit I have seen on my spiritborn is 976,000T using Robs quill one shot build , but soon as I completed a pit 150 and got the hirable title (Fell/Maven) =( , I went Strat and respect to speed build for fast 105 xp farming but it takes way to long so i gave up on leveling at 264
Im a pretty casual dad gamer. I cleared 150 in 5 mins with a top hit of about 200 quadrillion... Didnt Blizz say they did a stat squish? Doesnt feel like it . Bring back Blizzard North. They knew how to make a good game.
Ok, I think I'm that one dead braincell dad with kids. I built this the same. I'm paragon lvl 240. I am most definitely not hitting for a trillion damage. Are tempers THAT important to do the astronomical numbers?
It is ridiculous only if you have the right gear. I have been running non-stop and the gear isn't dropping with the right affixes let alone with maxed out GA in three slots. Most people are not going to see this level of power. I haven't gotten a single pair of gloves with +Quill volley on them. Not one. Enchanting it has turned out to be a bust too.
you don't need quill volly ranks on gloves you need lucky hit to restore primary resource, attack speed and life and dex. order of importance lucky hit to restore primary resource, Life, attack speed and dex. Find a GA MAx life roll on gloves or buy one. A one GA glove, even max life, won't break the bank. Temper mystic circle potency and barrier gen and throw the planes power aspect on it. The build is going to rely heavily on the aspects so try and get ones with decent rolls on their power. You want to have ideally 20k life unbuffed, 20 stacks of resolve, around 1800 dex, 1000 armor and resists aren't really important, (they just need to not be negative) your barrier gen needs to be no less than 123% there is an attack speed breakpoint ok so this is important as well. you're shooting for 163% i believe, not unbuffed but when your attacking, so as close to above say 80% AS unbuffed. The duelist aspect needs to be at least 4 and you need to run double jaguar for your spirit hall. your rings need to be tempered with resource cost reduction and you really need to triple MW AS on at least one piece between both rings and your neck . Try and Trip MW mystic potency as well as Life, you want to use the max life elixir as well as the chorus of war and the dex incense as well. Happy pushing!!!
@dobertjowneyrunior3023 Evade could never touch quill volley in damage output. Not even close. It's like a factor of a 1,000,000x less damage. It was miles better at open world farming but anyone who was in the same game as someone who ran the evade build without a super computer would have dramatic frame drops and ping spikes. That's why they nerfed it, because it effected other people's performance and experience.
I dont have anything close to a supercomputer and i never experienced issues. Would be in realmwalker events with 2-4 other people spamming it and never had issues any worse than peak LS Sorc builds last season. D4 is just an unoptimized game and they saw it as a decent excuse. People still have plenty of issues after the nerf. Almost like it was a nonissue.
@dobertjowneyrunior3023 Idk my dude, I had friends running it and my computer can basically run a 3rd world country. My frames dropped by about 90 and ping went up about 30ms. So *shrugs*
10 comments... I don't think anyone plays this game anymore. Spiritborn being OP caused too many people to finish the game and become bored. Made the game too easy. And for non-cringeborn players, we're still grinding away on our bad builds. Anyway, I just think you and every other pathetic content creator are making builds for an ever-shrinking audience. @@poochz2 hard to not compare one build to another when you play like I do. Right now I have four classes at max level, I'm Paragon 281. Because I play almost all the classes every season, it's just unavoidable that my brain will compare them. I feel like your advice is simply out of touch. What you are saying would work if I was a one class Andy, but I get bored of one class because I get it fully geared out and then there's nothing else to do. So I level another one. Right now the most fun build I'm playing is Boulder Druid, but it's complete garbage compared to the spiritborn. @joegrant5757 And this is the reason I released the videos in the order I did. Think of the last 4 videos I've released as one giant video that are chapters. Head back to the "how to hit for 100 trillion" damage video, and watch every video (minus the gold one) up to this point.
@nicolosantini9042 Yea you right, the top 100 pit clears of sub 5 min 150s with video evidence and shown gear are just totally full of shit. Thank goodness for your insight, illuminati confirmed.
Nothing against your premium in depth videos, but man this game has become an absolute joke. All the little steps forwards and then back to square one with this so-called "expansion"
A lot of people seem to be enjoying it, so it could be that it's just not for me and that I have a different vision for what I like about the game. I've seen the Rod Ferguson poll too, where people en masse voted No on whether or not the Spiritborn should be nerfed. Sorry for the wall of text, but I want to give a somewhat nuanced answer because there's a lot. To start with, these numbers we're seeing is after a number squish, these are Austin Powers level comical damage numbers. The Spiritborn class is ridiculously overpowered, the balance was never great but it felt like it was actively getting worked on. All the work they put in this class was desperately needed for the other classes. There's lots of small (and large) unfinished jobs for all the classes, aspects, paragon, glyphs, uniques, class mechanics, etc. My class of choice, the Necromancer, is probably the second best class but it is still plagued by bugs and poor in-class balancing. I think Overpower as a game mechanic has gotten way out of hand, especially because so many things that are not designed to be using the Overpower modifiers are using them. Next to that, I really dislike rolling items this season, it feels like such a heavy grind to get items to masterwork properly and to constantly reroll mythic uniques to hit the right GA. You farm uber boss mats easily and the bosses drop dead in seconds, even for non-spiritborn classes. We've had several bottlenecks that have since been addressed like forgotten souls and iron chunks/rawhide. Getting max rolled Aspects is a nightmare, from the 101 total aspects in the Codex of Power I have 17 at max level, several of them only having 1 rank. It feels like these hurdles are put in place deliberately to slow us down and make us play more, it feels like things that show as random have weighed values behind them but I can only speculate about this. The Paragon being down to 5 boards makes it very boring IMO, you just pick all the nodes basically and there's not much creative choice left, no clever pathing, dipping into an extra board, etc. Grinding this Paragon to 300 is a drag and it's a lot of power creep but I'm not 100% sure what I think about this because there's something to say about having something to grind for in the endgame. You could say the same about the aspects but that's much more frustrating not to have than it is something fun to chase after, IMO. The raid is not even terrible but there is no point of doing it and it's either a super boring experience with forced pauses and phasing or frustrating because the randoms you find in LFR are clueless. 90% of them are Spiritborn btw, it feels like 90% of the playerbase I encounter in the overworld are Spiritborn. I dislike how there's no or barely any mention of the Witch Doctor, which came from Nahantu. In the established lore, the Necromancer also came from Nahantu btw, where they have been hiding. Lastly, I dislike the campaign, what they did with Mephisto, Akkarat, all the animal forms everywhere, it often does not feel like a Diablo game. Diablo is also just nowhere to be found. Now I don't really need a campaign with a storyline, this is something that has always been secondary to the high action combat of the game, but since they put so much effort and emphasis on it, I get an opinion about it and I find it uninteresting, uninspiring. The characters are unlikeable and as a player I often feel like the NPC where the actual NPC's are the center and make the big decisions and take the lead. I play mostly SSF but I do trade a little bit and if I put on my copium glasses, focus on my own experience I can rationalize to a point where I can say I did have fun with the season start, in the building/gearing phase, but more and more layers of dislike drift to the surface as time goes on.
Also, what even is this seasonal theme, the realm walker with these insignificant opals? Season 5 was infernal hordes, season 4 was the iron wolves helltides thing.. These are not really seasons but patches to try and fix the base game. Granted, I prefer these patches over seasons because it's stupid to focus on temporary content when the foundation is lacking, but we haven't had an actual season after the second one. (And those 2 had their own issues).

@@OperatorOtter ok awesome thanks so much! So its pretty much rng to hit that window... and its ofcourse better to target the mobs instead of elites right? Same with bosses ads? I should rather attack the ads?
@psyendacy Yep! Smart cookie.
Juat make sure you focus the champions during pit runs > anything. Otherwise everything takes 90% damage reduction until they dead.
@@OperatorOtter you rock thanks!
I may have missed it in the video. But where do i get the most dps in the paragon board after reaching the 266 requirement?
Can this be replicated with the Crushing Hand build as well? Looks hella fun
Yes
Yes but less efficient
Can you also explain how to reach the permaleke effect with those 2 version?
Glove resource on lucky hit
Question is it not better to run resilient stacks over resolve stacks?
@SCM-or4fs If only one masterwork, yes. If double or triple crit on masterwork, resolve stacks are better.
Double dips with colossal glyphs and the aspect of interdiction × redirected force aspect.
Two questions
Yen's Blessing boots fixed my permaleke problem...
I'm curious. How does the build function without ring of midnight sun?
im wearing everything for the Giga Boi Pit pushing setup, except i swapped the boots for a pair of yens blessings so than i can be ress capd, im still hitting for trillions of damage with yens on i dont see a reason to wear a pair of legendary boots other than more armour? and the aspect it gives? TLDR, is it important to be res capd? i know it helps with barrier generation without yens boots on my resistances are horrible even with 3 grand diamonds in jewelry
@Unscenedd
The combo of:
Barrier gen
Life
Dex
Aspect
All come together to give 5-6x more damage. (Yes, it's that much).
They are by no means "needed," but it if you're trying to go for the fastest possible for yourself, leg boots are 100% the way to go.
Can you link a copy of the spreadsheets shown in this video?
In the giga pit push variant, I'm unable to keep up the permakepeleke status on single targets like a boss. Is there a resource cost reduction + chance to restore resource combo minimum break point that needs to be accomplished inorder to keep permakepeleke active even on single targets? Thanks for the vids explaining how/why all this works, really appreciate the deep dives.
@@carletongrasty884 if you're playing the Fell Soothsayer variant I believe it won't work on bosses with no adds. you need a boss that spawns adds in order to kill him.
what cream said, need adds. ST is basically impossible.
Could the P200 orange quill complete Pit150? because all my gears are pretty similiair to this build the most and i dont want to grind for another to fail at tempering again

Do you have a master's in math? (seriously asking)
No, I am self-taught past basic algebra in high school.
Can crushing hands proc any of this? or the 10 hit aspect for it?
@@AleXelerate8 yes
GA life is technically better, that's wha the planner has.
Thanks but not all of us have the shroud of false death a mythical i have none of so I doubt i will be clearing the 150 pits till I Aquire a mythical armour set
@@greggilbert9260 Probably not. 150 is not a free bee. Need specific pieces and about 5 different breakpoints met to do it.
If I am not a mystic circle enjoyer, would double legendary cost rediction still be the BiS or it goes back yo ring of starless?
Each mw point respectively between 1-3, 5-7, and 9-11 increases the base stat by 5%
So GA stat is worth 2 hits of a masterwork.
My highest confirmed damage outside of boss fights was ~1,500,000 Trillion.
= 1,500,000,000,000,000,000
= 1,5 Quintillion
Why is Quill the best for this?
Because every attack procs the jaguar main hall. With other core skills it take multiple cast, with quill volley happens every attack.
The cute otter is a big distraction. It took me 5 minutes into the video to notice advanced was misspelled. Lol
what is a benefit of having legendary helm? It looks like GA-max-life shako would be way better choice.
@@pavvelgrz The resolve stacks + barrier gen are giga massive
@@OperatorOtter even more than 1k life and 20+ resources + few additional points to all stats?
What is the secret to killing the boss?
no dex roll on either ring? will we have enough dex for those rare node bonuses?
@NhanNguyen-xk You can get there at 300 paragon as this video is talking about MIN/MAX.

Can the shatter quill core version run pit 150?
ive been pushing and stuck at 147 for 2 days, ive got all the gear, correct rolls not 'triple crit ga' but that shouldnt matter, ive tried Starless and Plains ring and get giga fucked on constant Nangari mobs who wont die, champion packs everywhere
Im not sure how people are clearing in 2 mins when soon as you pull a big pack with a champ mob you cannot hit them anymore due to either some enemy damage limit or what but they take too long to kill
I want to respect to this, but i will wait for big patch on 29th. Let's see all the nerf etc.
can i ask? why?

I notice that when i engage a pack and my circle pops i do giga chad dmg, but if i don't immediately move to another pack i will lose time and fall behind. I really don't even need elites its almost better to blow up the adds and kill maybe an elite ot two but if not its fine I just need to move on quickly as possible to the next pack and I avoid DMG reduction affixes on elites.
Pit 150 guaranteed = just play spiritborn and dont even need glyphs.
Pit 150 guarantee non spirit born = doesnt exist

They’ll nerf and balance but making a broken class that outshines all the others is a great way to sell an expansion, you have to admit lol.

Im a pretty casual dad gamer. I cleared 150 in 5 mins with a top hit of about 200 quadrillion...
Didnt Blizz say they did a stat squish? Doesnt feel like it . Bring back Blizzard North. They knew how to make a good game.
Blizzard North initially wanted to make Diablo 3 a turn based game.
Ok, I think I'm that one dead braincell dad with kids. I built this the same. I'm paragon lvl 240. I am most definitely not hitting for a trillion damage. Are tempers THAT important to do the astronomical numbers?
Yep
@@OperatorOtter ok
YEAH with perfect gear you can oit push
Happy pushing!!!
i got regular spritborn from maxroll wth all 3-4 ga items and cant pass pit 145 but this buggy designs insta kill bosses. blizzard being blizzard.
I hit 2,234,704T. It's not that hard. it's a broken class.😂 I just wish another class was viable, but i guess this season is just a PTW.
Is this not ridiculous to anyone this isn’t ever how Diablo was meant to be played lmaoooo
Dude..slow down. So a legendary ring is only better if its 3 ga? I just hear math math math bla
they nerfed evade so quill volley could fly
So *shrugs*
@@OperatorOtter lmfao it is what it is. i wonder if you could get zimbabwe to pay you for distributive computing farm yields

Blizzard needs to fix their game, but it's not gonna happen so long as all of you try to milk the algorithm with yet another cringeborn build
Stop comparing your build to others and you will enjoy it again.
My second favorite build is my blood surge necro, but it's also complete garbage compared to the spiritborn.

I can only do 100k damage to 100mil sometime 300 if I’m lucky I genuinely don’t understand this I have all the same gear and aspects in all these videos basically no multipliers on my damage it seems I don’t get how everyone is getting trillions of damage or nonstop overpowering my hits overpower sometimes it’s not guaranteed like it says
@joegrant5757 And this is the reason I released the videos in the order I did. Think of the last 4 videos I've released as one giant video that are chapters. Head back to the "how to hit for 100 trillion" damage video, and watch every video (minus the gold one) up to this point.
This does not work don't waste your time
@nicolosantini9042 Yea you right, the top 100 pit clears of sub 5 min 150s with video evidence and shown gear are just totally full of shit.
Thank goodness for your insight, illuminati confirmed.
Nothing against your premium in depth videos, but man this game has become an absolute joke. All the little steps forwards and then back to square one with this so-called "expansion"
I really enjoy the expansion, just curious why you think it’s bad?
@@feron450I’m enjoying it too.. but don’t pretend it wouldn’t be better if it was balanced properly.
Whats wrong with beta 4.732? I enjoy broken games.
