The thing I like about Raxx guides is that he doesn't assume you know anything. So many other diablo guides assume we've been playing ARPGs for 20 years.
This. His videos were extremely useful for me in being able to clear a GR150 for the first time on D3 back in the day. There was a time I was intimidated by a GR50, and never would have dreamed of doing a 150. It's been the same experience with D4. I went from starting the game literally in S5 knowing almost nothing to a point where I understand everything except some of the new features added with the expansion. Raxx is very concise and easy to understand.

I don't know how everyone is running out of rawhide? I've never dropped lower than 15k and I've been playing just a few hours everyday.. I just mass dismantle everything that's not crucial.
I did this for the mythic chest for my build. I was so happy after never getting a mythic as a drop before. 2 days later maxroll changed the build and the mythic to a hat...which I don't have. Back to the grind I guess. Thanks for the guide, Raxx!

Oh man I salvaged a ga hp shako yesterday to get a spark. Then remembered hp is now the best stat this season. I was aiming to get a cdr ga, too used to last seasons barb and sorc meta haha.

Been watching you for a long while now and I just want to say, thank you so much for all you do. This information has helped me a ton. I recently got some of my friends back into Diablo and we’ve been having an absolute blast. Now I know where I can bring them for materials! Totally made our runs way more fun !
@@Yeikzo trading just breaks the game - you either can grind for 500+ hours or spend 1 minute to buy best gear. And there you go - you've "beaten" the game. Playing in parties just adds extra annoying visual clutter on screen and extra headache for people who must frequently take breaks to help a wife with something for example putting the game on pause. Teammates expect you to be there.
It's SSF every season for me both in D3 and D4, Otherwise it doesn't count. Can't stand all this group stuff in these games, Blizzard trying to turn it into World of Diablo. Already played WoW for years I don't want that in Diablo as well. Raxx and Wudi are legit and we have seen them play hardcore etc etc, But I see a lot of others on UA-cam that I think, nah they cheated either buying gear off trade with triple GA, Or grouped up to level gems such as in D3 and then they go do rifts to get on leaderboard(this was before SSF mode). I agree, We need a full SSF mode for those of us who like the challenge, Plus we can see the legit good players, It won't be names you recognise when it comes to solo. I got to rank 2 on Barb one season in D3 many many seasons back and my heart was pounding from the excitement of just clearing the rift, Was a lot of hard work though trying to keep up with all these group players that had their legendary gem levels so high. Blizz should take some notes from PoE as well, Could do so much more with gems in D4, 6 socket linking them was a mini game in itself back in early days of PoE.
The boss drop rate does stink. I have been farming them for days just because I don't have anything better to do other than that fun Legion in Nehantu. I think I accomplished my goal of farming them all except i can't get Harlequins to drop for me.
In the first 5 runs, I dropped 2 mythics. Then.... Nothing since. Also, boss loot drop table on maxroll is amazing. I'd love a typed in filter that maybe greys out items that don't match it or shows another way of the boss, maybe collapsing the other bosses that don't drop it. Either way, great tool
I disagree about the runes dropping. I've played more then I'd like to admit and have 90% less runes then you do. I heard similar advice early in the season but I only had 1 legendary rune in my inventory, under 100mil gold (so no trading). Did a second character, got to 230 paragon, got to a grand total of 4 different legendary runes... decided to use blacksmith for the random mythic. I used up all my rune tributes and upgrading the lower ones. Bad rng is rng. But I get a feeling there is something more going on... Edit: my opinion is the only way is to group-up/clan-up and just do duriel for many hours; or rune group rune tribute for hours. That's not fun for me, but I know it works.
Which is another dumb thing every thing in this game should be able to be 1 shot if ur able to do it... I hate immune phases in any video game it just makes the fight boring and drawn out. Just let me 1 shot them and get on with my life of I'm that Powerful smh. I was hoping this season was gonna be good its actually 1 of the worst seasons ive played so far sadly. So many of the changes were unnecessary.

Although it seems like the power curve from t3 to t4 is scaled to spiritborn power levels instead of the realistic numbers every other class can hit. I’ve gotten each class to t3/t4 and spiritborn I was able to do t3 pits on dog shit gear no aspects no glyphs. The only class that came second to that being naked was Druid which surprised me lmao

Raxx, what do you mean by "moving them back and forth" at 9:55? When you reforge, the exchange rate is 3:1. Every time you reforge, you use 3 runes end up with only 1 rune, so this method is not only "not efficient", it should be completely avoided.
@@VicJang If you are not doing trading. Having 30 runes of something you will never use is worthless. Doing 3:1 in that case is worth it to maybe create value of of trash. It's still a loss but it's considered trash anyway so why not try and gamble it into something with value.
@@Fruktz yeah I wouldn’t disagree. I just thought Raxx should point out the 3:1 exchange ratio is not ideal. Back and forth implies you can keep doing it, but in reality the quantity decreases exponentially.

Blue runes are harder to get than legendary ones. I was a noob early on last week and threw away my blue ones cause I had no more space to pick up legendary ones 😂
I just experienced after you finish the under city quest you will then start seeing more tributes drop and all around Nahantu dungeons drop obdicite and boss mats. Now in the pits I’m getting tributes. Keep pushing yall!
Anytime you have to leave a game to do something. Sell, trading. It loses me and I just won’t do it. Don’t care if I have billions in runes/items. It’s bad game design.

@@KamikaziiKidd I use that shit all the time. The point is not what you're getting out of it, it's the experience. It's a shitty little gray box in the bottom of my monitor, where i only get access to a very small portion of the entire playerbase to trade with.
It's simple to explain but not so easy in practice. For anyone who doesn't play all day getting a Mythic Unique with either method is extremely random and time consuming. Even the Sparks, you talk about finishing the season journey as it was so simple. Also, not everyone is playing seasonal characters, Eternals are affected as well. Either way, getting Mythics and/or specific runes is extremely hard and time consuming for average players.

I really hope in the future they will expand runes in to actually rune words items, and they don't have to change nothing. Just give us the feeling from d2, have blue or yellow items drops with certain amount of sockets. and when you put runes inside you get rune word item. Its simple as that, that way they don't have to get rid of blue or yellow items, they can be useful for rune words, and they can still use two rune system for the legendary and unique items as it is now.

I'm not sure if he mentions it because I'm not watching the video, but if you do whispers and go to the tree. They have a chance to give you a tribute for undercity that has a higher chance of dropping mythic items at the end. In my opinion an easier way if you don't want to go kill bosses.
i cannot get mythics to drop for me i must be hundreds of bosses into T4 and im just stuck with a jacinth the rates are through the FLOOR what happened to this i thought T4 was meant to be rewarding not the minimum possible to get anything

Raxx could you please ask the devs about Scroll of Escape. They are pretty much nonexistent. As a hard core only player this has been a major pain for the community this season. I just lost another character to DC this season this has not been a problem since season 1. Also, this has made the new content of the Dark Citadel a very scary proposition. Go to beast in the ice T4!!! We have been getting more mythic’s more than any boss. Past 2 days I have almost 10. We have tested all bosses, and beast in the ice is the best by far right now
@@vadicus-tcp off the top of my head crushing hand Spiritborn uses it and blood wave Necro. But yeah same, last season was a struggle to get that shaco and then masterwork the cooldown. Idk about you but a good fractured winterglass was rarer for me than the mythics 🤦♂️
Undercity, tribute of titans for mats (use in-game party finder to maximize drops through rotation) then go around and kill all the bosses with those mats (a.k.a. the 'ladder')

Find the gold sink way harder than getting mythic items. In S5 I had no issues, but most of the money was earned using trade. Infernal hordes was actually a thing for farming gold in S5, but now 1K aether is only worth a couple of shots for yet another MW roll. It'll literally take billions of gold - or some crazy luck - to get 3 max resolve stacks on an amulet. I have burned crazy amounts of cash just trying to get the first one. ;o) This season is a joke to get the needed money for MWs. And I don't wanna use trade to finish my build this time. Deleted all chars (+ 200 hours S5) and uninstalled. Only coming back if SSF is getting into the game. Kinda pitty as the game was actually starting to feel polished except from the non-existing class balance. Keep up your amazing work. I want to be excited for this, but honestly I play a sorc and it has been a struggle! I just got ro T3 and have been playing the whole XPac...doesnt feel that great overall. I guess I just wait until next season, I am tired of grinding and getting very little for it. Great videos btw, keep it up.
I killed Lilith for the first time this season and finished the season journey for the first time this season. They've definitely made these easier because we are still early in the season. Still no mythic uniques this season so I guess that is harder this season.
I have gotten three mythics from world drops. The first from a random pit run in season 4 gave a Tyrael’s, a reputation cache in season 5 gave a Shako and gambling gloves in season 6 gave an Andariel’s.
Rax ive been farming my eyeballs out of my skull on durial , and eveey boss out there and finally found ONE mythic. My first one ever in iver 800 hours. My lyck seems to be absolutely horrible. The one mythic i finally found yesterday, was for barbarian smh lol im playing spirit borne 😂 Thank you for this video rax! But i have 3 full tabs of ancestry uniques lol unbelievable. Some of them have been slapped into my build at least :)
side note for anyone having a hard time with Lilith's second stage , join a party , those malignant massess that shoot at you wont spawn in with a party vs solo were in fact they do

Yeah the problem with undercity is you run into a lot of people who don't want to share the wealth and rotate tributes they want to be greedy and just use there tributes at the brazier.... in my opinion what blizzard needs to do is make it so every tribute benefits the whole party there should be no tributes that are just for the person who inserted the tribute, all tributes should be group wide.
@@robertneal1973 There are 2 different types of tributes if you read the fine print on the Tribute some Tributes have "Resolute" printed on them and other ones have "United" printed on them.... The Tributes with "Resolute" on them only give the person who put the tribute in rewards and The Tributes with "United" gives the whole team rewards.
I did a lot of varshan, zir, grigoire runs with party and dropped nothing, but in more or less 80 runs in total on andariel and duriel on T4, I dropped 6-7 myhtics. Party run is crucial guys, don't waste your mats. The new party finder really does the job. Thanks Blizzard for hearing us!
Raxx daddy, please hold my hand even further and elaborate on how you get so many of the tributes to run Undercity. Just gallivanting around and I get them here and there, but not enough to feel like I'm actually target farming
So far the only mythic unique I've got is Heir of Perdition. I needed it and Starless skies to try the maxroll stinger build, right after I finished checking what I needed to craft them I went to kill the beast in ice for a whisper, and it dropped for me. Feels like all the bad luck I had up to then was just meant to be.
Question 1 - What's the % in Torment 1 for Ancestral drops? I'm around paragon 90 and so far I've had 5. Question 2 - To clear The Pit 35, do I need to upgrade all my items at least 4 times? Or is it more tied to resistances ? Both ?
This is my second season and I have not had any luck with mythic gear. Then by some miracle I had 3 drop back to back from low tier boss varshan in T1. 3 runs. 3 mythic's. Couldn't believe it. It can happen!

Quick question if you don't mind, you mention in the video that it's easy to kill Lilith in T1, like one punch. I can zap her pretty much immediately but that last sliver of health never goes and I'm forced through all the phases of the battle before I can kill her.. Any thoughts?

I found it helpful to mark runes as 'favorites' if your target farming a specific mythic. Helps to easily spot the junk from the treasure

Wife and I have killed over 1000 of these bosses now, and not had a single mythic unique. Drop rates are a joke.

Agreed! Runes like Lith you are lucky to see one or 2 playing the game like a full time job. The Rune cost should be dropped from 6 to 2 of each type.

D4 needs SSF mode to become a truly good game. For example, I HATE interacting with other people in ARPG. Pretty sure I'm not the only one.

The boss drop rate does stink. I have been farming them for days just because I don't have anything better to do other than that fun Legion in Nehantu. I think I accomplished my goal of farming them all except i can't get Harlequins to drop for me.

2-3 % would be alright but it's 1 % or something maybe even lower than that

I get them every season lol. Join a group! Don’t do it alone. You’ll get 4x the chances. Party Finder makes it super easy to find a group.
@theobell2002. 2-3% is more than you think, especially if you go up to t3 or t4 and farm ubers.
@theobell2002 i work full time and a half and have still had 3 mythic drop organically. Crafted another.
In the first 5 runs, I dropped 2 mythics. Then.... Nothing since. Also, boss loot drop table on maxroll is amazing. I'd love a typed in filter that maybe greys out items that don't match it or shows another way of the boss, maybe collapsing the other bosses that don't drop it. Either way, great tool
You could also use diablo4.life/tools/target-farming, there you can search for what you want and only get that result, even choose multiple.
I disagree about the runes dropping. I've played more then I'd like to admit and have 90% less runes then you do.
I heard similar advice early in the season but I only had 1 legendary rune in my inventory, under 100mil gold (so no trading). Did a second character, got to 230 paragon, got to a grand total of 4 different legendary runes... decided to use blacksmith for the random mythic. I used up all my rune tributes and upgrading the lower ones.
Bad rng is rng. But I get a feeling there is something more going on...
Edit: my opinion is the only way is to group-up/clan-up and just do duriel for many hours; or rune group rune tribute for hours. That's not fun for me, but I know it works.
Lilith isn't 1 shottable btw. She will be immune at 1 hp in p2 and the fight forces you to do the mechanics for a while

So many of the changes were unnecessary.
@@subzero308 I agree with some points but the season is far from the worst. Although it seems like the power curve from t3 to t4 is scaled to spiritborn power levels instead of the realistic numbers every other class can hit. I’ve gotten each class to t3/t4 and spiritborn I was able to do t3 pits on dog shit gear no aspects no glyphs. The only class that came second to that being naked was Druid which surprised me lmao

Doing bosses in groups for example vs solo gives you 4x the kills for example

Raxx, what do you mean by "moving them back and forth" at 9:55? When you reforge, the exchange rate is 3:1. Every time you reforge, you use 3 runes end up with only 1 rune, so this method is not only "not efficient", it should be completely avoided.
He's talking about trying to level up the lower tier runes to a legendary.

@@VicJang If you are not doing trading. Having 30 runes of something you will never use is worthless. Doing 3:1 in that case is worth it to maybe create value of of trash. It's still a loss but it's considered trash anyway so why not try and gamble it into something with value.
@@Fruktz yeah I wouldn’t disagree. I just thought Raxx should point out the 3:1 exchange ratio is not ideal. Back and forth implies you can keep doing it, but in reality the quantity decreases exponentially.

Hey, just a quick note: tributes of ascedance seems to be a highly reliable source of mythics as well after the last patch (2.0.3).

Blue runes are harder to get than legendary ones. I was a noob early on last week and threw away my blue ones cause I had no more space to pick up legendary ones 😂

I just experienced after you finish the under city quest you will then start seeing more tributes drop and all around Nahantu dungeons drop obdicite and boss mats. Now in the pits I’m getting tributes. Keep pushing yall!

It's simple to explain but not so easy in practice. For anyone who doesn't play all day getting a Mythic Unique with either method is extremely random and time consuming. Even the Sparks, you talk about finishing the season journey as it was so simple. Also, not everyone is playing seasonal characters, Eternals are affected as well. Either way, getting Mythics and/or specific runes is extremely hard and time consuming for average players.

I’ve been crazy lucky, 3 mythics, first was a sword, then I got a Tyrials and Harlequin. Perfect for my Sorc
I really hope in the future they will expand runes in to actually rune words items, and they don't have to change nothing. Just give us the feeling from d2, have blue or yellow items drops with certain amount of sockets. and when you put runes inside you get rune word item. Its simple as that, that way they don't have to get rid of blue or yellow items, they can be useful for rune words, and they can still use two rune system for the legendary and unique items as it is now.

I'm not sure if he mentions it because I'm not watching the video, but if you do whispers and go to the tree. They have a chance to give you a tribute for undercity that has a higher chance of dropping mythic items at the end. In my opinion an easier way if you don't want to go kill bosses.
i cannot get mythics to drop for me i must be hundreds of bosses into T4 and im just stuck with a jacinth the rates are through the FLOOR what happened to this i thought T4 was meant to be rewarding not the minimum possible to get anything

Raxx could you please ask the devs about Scroll of Escape. They are pretty much nonexistent. As a hard core only player this has been a major pain for the community this season. I just lost another character to DC this season this has not been a problem since season 1. Also, this has made the new content of the Dark Citadel a very scary proposition. Undercity, tribute of titans for mats (use in-game party finder to maximize drops through rotation) then go around and kill all the bosses with those mats (a.k.a. the 'ladder')

Find the gold sink way harder than getting mythic items. In S5 I had no issues, but most of the money was earned using trade.
Infernal hordes was actually a thing for farming gold in S5, but now 1K aether is only worth a couple of shots for yet another MW roll.
It'll literally take billions of gold - or some crazy luck - to get 3 max resolve stacks on an amulet.
I have burned crazy amounts of cash just trying to get the first one. ;o)
This season is a joke to get the needed money for MWs. And I don't wanna use trade to finish my build this time.

Pick the material chest in infernal hordes and you can get around 600 per run. NM dungeon mobs also drop them

I killed Lilith for the first time this season and finished the season journey for the first time this season. They've definitely made these easier because we are still early in the season. Still no mythic uniques this season so I guess that is harder this season.

I have gotten three mythics from world drops. The first from a random pit run in season 4 gave a Tyrael’s, a reputation cache in season 5 gave a Shako and gambling gloves in season 6 gave an Andariel’s.

Yeah the problem with undercity is you run into a lot of people who don't want to share the wealth and rotate tributes they want to be greedy and just use there tributes at the brazier.... in my opinion what blizzard needs to do is make it so every tribute benefits the whole party there should be no tributes that are just for the person who inserted the tribute, all tributes should be group wide.
Wait, so if you team up for KU only the person who effectively started the dungeon by adding the tribute gets the spoils?
@@robertneal1973 There are 2 different types of tributes if you read the fine print on the Tribute some Tributes have "Resolute" printed on them and other ones have "United" printed on them.... The Tributes with "Resolute" on them only give the person who put the tribute in rewards and The Tributes with "United" gives the whole team rewards.

I did a lot of varshan, zir, grigoire runs with party and dropped nothing, but in more or less 80 runs in total on andariel and duriel on T4, I dropped 6-7 myhtics. Party run is crucial guys, don't waste your mats. The new party finder really does the job. Thanks Blizzard for hearing us!
Raxx daddy, please hold my hand even further and elaborate on how you get so many of the tributes to run Undercity. Just gallivanting around and I get them here and there, but not enough to feel like I'm actually target farming

So far the only mythic unique I've got is Heir of Perdition. I needed it and Starless skies to try the maxroll stinger build, right after I finished checking what I needed to craft them I went to kill the beast in ice for a whisper, and it dropped for me. Feels like all the bad luck I had up to then was just meant to be.
Question 1 - What's the % in Torment 1 for Ancestral drops? I'm around paragon 90 and so far I've had 5.
Question 2 - To clear The Pit 35, do I need to upgrade all my items at least 4 times? Or is it more tied to resistances ? Both ?

This is my second season and I have not had any luck with mythic gear. Then by some miracle I had 3 drop back to back from low tier boss varshan in T1. 3 runs. 3 mythic's. Couldn't believe it. It can happen!

You missed the Tribute of Ascendance for undercity. Many people got their Mythics this way, at least I've seen several on reddit in the past few days.

Quick question if you don't mind, you mention in the video that it's easy to kill Lilith in T1, like one punch. I can zap her pretty much immediately but that last sliver of health never goes and I'm forced through all the phases of the battle before I can kill her.. Any thoughts?
Raxx, I play on HC and I am a bit afraid to go on a T3 right now (167 Paragon). Is it possible to get greater runes and mythical items by fighting bosses and going to undercity in T2? Actually can’t find information about that.
