For whatever reason, I had assumed this was going to be a gritty, fairly grounded soldier-on-soldier game with a sci-fi twist, but I like seeing that it's going to get weirder than that.
The reveal trailer already wasn’t that though
Battle Brothers amazing game and i'm still playing! it's become success because amazing chess like gameplay, details, art style and worked with every machine. This game also looks interesting!

From what I heard on the Q&A so will there be some and the vehicles will have accessory slots.
Having an interesting over arching story like this is really gonna draw me into my play through and keep me committed to finishing. Something I felt I struggled with Battle Brothers. I have been wanting a game like this. Thank you!

Is there any other data's about the game? The game seems just as cool as it possibly can be with a so many little, and not really, things looking rlly cool and perspective to develop and get further and further deep in good tactical game with it's own style. Are there any else news, or vids, or anything?
1500 hours in Battle Brothers... iam sure i will love this game too.

Games looking like a tabletop army game, like Warhammer. Mixed combat with big battles. Super excited.
Only thing im sad about, is Battle Brothers had an amazing feel for getting personal with your team. Customizing your brothers and analyzing their different stats and traits, and then perking them to a role.
I dont think death is going to have the same feel at all for a unit or whatever in this game, and thats something im going to have to fight mentally to get over....
I think this game will surpass Battle Brothers in pure gameplay and fun, but definitely wont have the same personal feel
I don't know if you have seen it but the squads will be lead by individual characters with stats and a backstory and so on, they already revealed some artwork of 4 or 5 of the characters (there will be alot more) and said there will be interaction between them (Like: one space pirate you recruited is disliked by the honorable army captain and so on) and you're still going to be able to level them and form them to your specifc playstyle. I think this sounds like it could potentially could produce this personal feel.
Like the other reply said, there is already confirmed to be personal backstories, individualistic traits / personalities for the characters in Menace, akin to how Battle Brothers was. Thus, it's safe to have some expectations that the "personal" feel/pull in BB will be present, in a similar but also new, form in Menace.
I suspect, based on what has been confirmed, I will be having experiences like in BB where I grow attached to certain characters, wanting to keep them alive / have them grow... Then some alien will rip him apart, aha.
Also, would recommend checking out all the released content & information about the game, before being "sad" or commenting about something that "isn't in the game" -- when it is in fact actually going to be -- lol. Just an idea!
Seems a bit funny the marines take cover by the APC while moving weapons level as if they're in a tight corridor as opposed to an open field. (Does a low ready or relaxed stance animation even exist at this point?)
Anyway, I'm pretty hyped.

Its been years since i have allowed myself "hype" or excitement for a new upcoming videogame. I gave up on new releases / prior hype years ago when, as expected, the soulless corporate leeching really started to grow throughout the gaming industry... Nowadays, there are very few actual games released, and instead these weird 'services' are being released... These sort of, time consuming, interactive gambling esque service platforms, which are so called "games"..
Stay away from the corporate deals, for anything touched by corporate, leads quickly to the life/soul being drained & leaving only the stained blood of what once held passion & care... It is a pattern one can identify ALL OVER this reality, not just amongst the videogame area!
Anyways, I digress; this is where MENACE and you guys, Overhype, differ. I am exceedingly eager to see the release of this new game you have been crafting, and am keen to get to playing it. I have very little doubt about it, that it shall be a great, and actual, videogame.
A key to enjoyment, with many things in life mind ye, is to have/hold no expectations. See, we/everyone always expects so much out of things... this, and that,... Instead, more should take things with only how they are, not as how one deludes; and then one can expand upon what IS provided in any given scenario. Not making up so much in our/their heads, then being upset when something is not how they deluded oneself into something being.
Oncemore, I digress. Battle Brothers is a genuine videogame; an actual work of ART, with soul, and beauty. Personally, it is THE game I'd dreamt of as a kid. Tis the perfect everything, and is definitely my #1 game for the rest of my time spent in this reality.
A videogame, a real one, is a special thing. It holds the ability to blend the wonders of books and stories with the visuals of cinema, clasped together with an interactive buckle for a person to extend their own touch into it, which makes for a far more integrated & memorable experience.
Keep at it, Overhype! Thanks for working with passion & creating art, filled with soul and actual care. All this to say, I am hyped to play MENACE.

I can only be so hyped! Loving everything i heard about this game. I very rarely pre order games anymore but i think i can make an exception here.
Looks amazing. My only complaint would be the animations at this point, that artillery firing for example needs much more "ooomph" factor.

You ve should make battle brothers II or improve it, instead of this... add more things to do in game, as becoming a lord, own fiefs, geting married, forge alliances, make a greater army, add horses, and so on...But in battle brothers style.
Why aren't you showing off the character portraits in your trailers so that people know it's another wokefest with a diverse cast of diversos like all the other diverso games sponsored by Deutschbagland?

They did an interview where these faces were posted online, and they were the usual fare of 'diversity' that everyone loves so dearly (it's why Concord and Dustborn have so many players and aren't shut down due to being not profitable and with noone playing them)
This game, Menace, was also sponsored by the German government, which is under compulsion by its American occupiers (Did you know that Japan and Italy have gotten peace treaties with the allies, but not Germany? So by law, the war is still going)
And the USA is the cradle of woke, so of course everything the USA touches must also be like that, due to the people they liberated and took in and nurtured during the second WW.
But of course this explanation was never needed.

@ 0:16 you can see the little soldiers floating in the air. Developers should stop wasting time on terrain deformation until they have access to game engines that can produce dynamic interactive physics. If the things separate from the terrain do not and can not interact dynamically with the alteration of the terrain as it deforms, it ends up looking like a half-assed cheap and stupid effect.
Looking forward to enough continuous footage to get a genuine idea what this game is going to look like in action. So far it looks like Battle Brothers 2, legs or no legs, would have been a more desirable development choice.

Dont be so negative. Still looks really neat whats coming with this game. The terrain issue might still be a work in progress thing, just done for a nice trailer/teaser like this. I for one am looking forward to it. So far what they are showing off looks pretty good. Considering they are still indie devs.

I'm going to give them a fair shake when this game is finally finished regardless of my skepticism.
That said, I am *highly* skeptical of what I have seen, read and heard so far.
This game does not remotely resemble anything *_I_* personally wanted and/or hoped for.
It looks bad. The concept sounds bad.
I want Battle Brothers 2, not this garbage tier Xcom themed whatever this is.
But, like I said, I'm going to give it a fair shake whenever it finally comes out.
In the mean time, I am *_EXTREMELY_* skeptical.

The game comes out in late 2024 and will be in early access like battle brothers was in the beginning. This is still very early alpha footage, we haven't even seen the management part, the levelling and all that. You say you give it a fair chance but you sound very very negative despite that. Iam 100% sure this will be a great game since I know thanks to BB that these people know exactly what is fun and feels good on a gameplay and replayability level. Sounds like your criticism can be summarized as :" I want battle brothers 2 and they're not doing that, now Iam dissapointed"

Disappointment aside, this does not look good.
I am going to give the game itself a fair shake when it releases.
That means I will buy it and play it.
It does not mean I will refrain from criticizing it until I can get my hands on it.
We know this company has produced exactly 1 high quality game. The means they are capable of producing more high quality games.
It does not mean that every game they make will automatically *be* a high quality game.
Give us BB expansion instead. PLEASE I AM EAGER TO PAY WHATEVER YOU ASK FOR IT.
