Why is it that every time I've tried using aircraft by pressing the launch button in actual ship to ship combat, every single one of the planes is mysteriously lost and doesn't return to the ship?
@@ketchup5954 Doesn't this strike anyone as completely insane? I mean if the aircraft were automatically replaced after combat or were easily to replace it might be OK... But they're a huge pain in the ass.
You need to point your deck downwards or completely even, never tilt it upwards relative to the aircraft deploy angle or else they will crash into the deck on takeoff
@@judet2992 pretty easy, it is going to look like double sided hair comb, you have one column in the center and a bunch of short aircraft ramps going out of it, half block land strip half block empty space to fit aircraft... You fill the column with ammo and necessary components, have 2 or 4 big fuel tanks at the bottom and your engines, the main point is your ship will be perfectly symetric, you will use the most efficient engines, and only one gimbal engine at the very very top of the column, that will allow you to land if you ever need to.. you dont put anything unnecessary on that thing, it shall almost always stay slightly behind your main fleet and land whenver it needs to stop... the cool thing about it is that you can build those strips and extra components over time as you progress trough campaign. It looks weird but works much better, you'll have 2-3x more aircraft on that than this design.

maybe you lost a deck for landing so they can't land. I'm not sure.
In actual ship combat they always do that, they act almost like kamikaze. You have to launch them outside of battle

if you want a huge aircraft carrier and nothing else there is far more efficient way to do it with 2x or 3x more aircraft capacity
