Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on UA-cam yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

*VIDEO ERROR CORRECTION*: Please note, I did my puff strips 106 puff longs, NOT 160 as I say in the video!
Apologies for any confusion! 🙈 x
maybe pin this comment so viewers can see it from the beginning :)
@@MB-gs3lz it is pinned but unfortunately I cannot add it to the video :(
Oh no wonder. I did mine 120 rows and still ended up using more yarn than the pattern called for with no tassels. No worries, I still like it. Finished scarf, now just debating about adding tassels. 🤩😜
Then i make 150 puff stichs and i still confuse sbout that, because i made a long shawl... lol
What is the lenght of scarf
There are very few truly great instructors on UTube. You are in that rare group. Thank you so very much.
That is so kind of you Penny, thank you so much! 🥰🤗
She truly is. I never experienced any problems with her tutorials The quality close up camera work help a lot ❤
I made 2 scarves in one night with this! My yarn was a 6mm and I used a 6.5mm hook with it, I did 80 puff stitch rows, was so quick and easy and actually looked really pretty and complicated! Perfect gifts for mothers day 💕 thank you!
Thank you for sharing that.. I won't be so scared of trying it with another yarn now!!
Do u think i could make this with a bulky yarn?
Thank you! This is so beautiful and your tutorials are easy to follow.
I cannot believe it !!! I try this for the first time and it really came out nice! Mind you I am not an expert but I follow your instructions, had to put on slow speed so I could catch up, but it worked , I did it!! I don’t know , but you made it look easy so I said what heck let me try it , what do I have to lose and it came out nice ! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful craft and your patience you are the best ! ❤️🙏🤗👍👍
I'm so glad you gave it a go!
@@HookedbyRobin, You did a heck of a job on this scarf. It looks stunning. I usually avoid making crochet items with the puff stitch. This is actually my least favor of crochet stitch. But I sure will give this one a try. It looks amazing beautiful. Well done young lady !
Absolutely gorgeous so unique I can't wait to make this totally blew me away with this tutorial thank you very much
Hi Diana - I know that feeling! I don’t know you, but I am so happy for you. 😁
@@HookedbyRobin can I please buy pattern please
Dear Robin, I'm one of those people who cannot do puff stitches but find them beautiful. How ever if you substitute a 4 together DC cluster and do everything else exactly the same you get a very similar look. Thank you so much for this video. I made mine a shawl , wrap doing this and it is lovely. You are such a great teacher. I have used so many of your patterns. Happy day!!!
Thanks for the cluster double crochet idea. I am in the process of making it the way you said and I’m very pleased with how it’s turning out. I tried four or five times to do that puff stitch and just don’t have the patience.
I think this stitch would make a beautiful baby blanket! I’ll have to make a few for my nieces and nephews.
It would be a beautiful blanket yes!
That was my immediate thought but then I wondered if the holes would be a problem for little fingers?? What do you think?
@@sarahparker432 the holes are large so little fingers and toes shouldn't get stuck x I guess a lot depends on tension etc
Very good point. Thank you. I have started a blanket for my next grandchild.
I had exactly the same thought.
The most beautiful scarf I’ve ever seen , definitely going to give it a go .
Thank you Robin.
Love to see you do a livestream please !!!
I loved this pattern so much!! I made my scarf with a thick, wool yarn and it was gorgeous. Thank you!!
That does sound wonderful Rowe, thank you for sharing.😃🧣
This scarf is so romantic, antique-like and dreamy! I’m a little intimidated to try it since I’m still rather new at crocheting. Yet I would love see if I could indeed master it! Thank you so much for this fantastic project! 🌷🌷🌷🌷
You can do it 👍 just Follow her and it will come out beautiful
happy crocheting 🧶
It only took me 5 minutes to get the hang of it, quite simple now
You’ve got this my 🧶 friend
Oh what a delightful pattern with so many possibilities!
I did a different pattern MIM pattern sometime back and enjoyed it but this one is is simpler yet seems more complicated and I can see how one could relax and enjoy the process of making it.
You have inspired me out of a crochet slump and I thank you!
I understood your clear instructions the 1st time around , although I will watch it again to jot down the pattern instructions in case I need them if I get fatigued and addlebrained late at night when I am free to crochet without interruptions. You showed me a complete pattern in under 18 minutes and I can make so many things with it! Amazing!
I was soooo intimidated by puff stitches but you explained it so well and took your time! I'm only on my first strip but I enjoy it so much and can't wait to finish!
This scarf is so cute and so excited to find the perfect yarn and start making it. Thank you for sharing your talent.
I love this! Saving to my playlist so I could start one as soon as I finish my current WIP. Thanks so much! 🧡
I just finished making this scarf using bright colours and it turned out great! Thanks for the fantastic tutorial!
I’m a beginner who has only completed 2 items so far ( a cowl and a cushion cover) and this is now on my to do list thanks to your excellent, easy to follow tutorial. Many thanks xxxxx
I'm excited about the strippiness of the design - it has given me a lot of creative thoughts to pursue. Thank you!
What a gorgeous scarf, definitely in the 'must make' file.
This is absolutely gorgeous! I thought it would be so much more complicated. Looks like a lot of fun. Can't wait to give it a try!
I’m new to crochet and thought I would give this beautiful scarf ago. I have worked 160 puffs long and was wondering why I have not got enough wool, just spotted your comment that it was 106 not 160 puffs so the lady I purchased my wool from has put me a 3rd ball to one side ready for collecting. So far I have worked 2 lengths and I’m loving it. Thank you for your tutorial x
You’re so welcome Sharon and I’m sorry again about my video mistake with the puffs.🫣 x
I love hooked by Robin.... She has great tutorials and a very calming voice, which calm me....
I will definitely be making this for Christmas gifts. Also going to make into a shawl for my mom. Fantastic pattern and great tutorial. Thanks Robin.

I loved making this scarf! I made mine with 4 rows with yarn that has 3 colors on the skein; tan, bone & light grey. It’s beautiful! Your tutorial is very easy to follow! Thank you! I’m a new subscriber to your channel!

This is the most amazingly gorgeous pattern so perfect for this yarn choice! Love love love it and cannot wait to make it!!!
This is truly lovely. Thanks. I hadn't thought about this stitch in 40 years.
This makes a beautiful scarf. I think I will try to make one, wish me luck, I’ll need it!!
SO BEAUTIFULLY DONE. 😂 HAPPY TO FIND YOUR COMMUNITY! I'M SO EXCITED TO SEE ALL YOUR ARTISTRY!
I'm halfway through my scarf and it's going very well. I noticed at first that because of the 2 chains that are added to the first puff stitch makes it larger than the second puff stitch so I went ahead and changed the second puff stitch to 5 stitches instead of 4. This makes the puff stitches more of the same size beside each other. At first I was having trouble with the puff stitches having the length I wanted but by placing my index finger on the yarn against the end of the hook while yarning over and through, yarning over again to make the puff stitch, this held the length that I wanted and worked very well. Thank you for a great pattern, I can't wait until it's finished.
I just made this
i used a thick yard because i was doing it for my son's girlfriend and i wanted to use the same yarn as i used for my son's scarf so they would have matching scarfs. My yarn was a bit hard to work with but when it was done it came out beautiful! i can't wait to give it to her. Your tutorial was perfect i was able to follow along and understand
FINALLY a tutorial I can follow! Thank you ❤
You’re welcome Lan.😃🤗
It looks good. I will really try it. It’s different and it has puff stitches that I love.
Puff stitches are my favourite!
