Oh no wonder. I did mine 120 rows and still ended up using more yarn than the pattern called for with no tassels. No worries, I still like it. Finished scarf, now just debating about adding tassels. 🤩😜
I made 2 scarves in one night with this! My yarn was a 6mm and I used a 6.5mm hook with it, I did 80 puff stitch rows, was so quick and easy and actually looked really pretty and complicated! Perfect gifts for mothers day 💕 thank you!
I cannot believe it !!! I try this for the first time and it really came out nice! Mind you I am not an expert but I follow your instructions, had to put on slow speed so I could catch up, but it worked , I did it!! I don’t know , but you made it look easy so I said what heck let me try it , what do I have to lose and it came out nice ! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful craft and your patience you are the best ! ❤️🙏🤗👍👍
@@HookedbyRobin, You did a heck of a job on this scarf. It looks stunning. I usually avoid making crochet items with the puff stitch. This is actually my least favor of crochet stitch. But I sure will give this one a try. It looks amazing beautiful. Well done young lady !
Dear Robin, I'm one of those people who cannot do puff stitches but find them beautiful. How ever if you substitute a 4 together DC cluster and do everything else exactly the same you get a very similar look. Thank you so much for this video. I made mine a shawl , wrap doing this and it is lovely. You are such a great teacher. I have used so many of your patterns. Happy day!!!
Thanks for the cluster double crochet idea. I am in the process of making it the way you said and I’m very pleased with how it’s turning out. I tried four or five times to do that puff stitch and just don’t have the patience.
I’m new to crochet and thought I would give this beautiful scarf ago. I have worked 160 puffs long and was wondering why I have not got enough wool, just spotted your comment that it was 106 not 160 puffs so the lady I purchased my wool from has put me a 3rd ball to one side ready for collecting. So far I have worked 2 lengths and I’m loving it. Thank you for your tutorial x
This scarf is so romantic, antique-like and dreamy! I’m a little intimidated to try it since I’m still rather new at crocheting. Yet I would love see if I could indeed master it! Thank you so much for this fantastic project! 🌷🌷🌷🌷
I was soooo intimidated by puff stitches but you explained it so well and took your time! I'm only on my first strip but I enjoy it so much and can't wait to finish!
I have commented on about 5 peoples’ you tube videos.. ever. I simply must comment on this one! I am so grateful, I liked, subscribed & shared. When I was a little girl my Mom taught me how to do the “granny square”, I felt so grown up. As I grew I crocheted less & less, always making all these granny squares (that I didn’t even know how to join mind you), so I would never finish. Finally in my 30’s I figured I would just make great big Granny Smith blankets; I made two.. they were huge! Over the past decade or so I would go on UA-cam looking for another stitch I could do. Years went by, never saw one I liked & the person doing the video would talk about multiples of 7 .. & just sounded like too much trouble. This past year I decided I was going to do a chevron for my daughter (her favorite). Nope. Last night I found THIS VIDEO! When I saw the picture I thought ‘no way’.. but then an Angel appeared! Robin I just love ya girl! This pattern is absolutely fabulous! And the way you taught it was PERFECT! I am going to do scarves like this for every female in my family for Christmas. I do hope you describe how to put the fringe on the end in another video.. and maybe how to join two colors? Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! ~Sandy
Oh what a delightful pattern with so many possibilities! I did a different pattern MIM pattern sometime back and enjoyed it but this one is is simpler yet seems more complicated and I can see how one could relax and enjoy the process of making it. You have inspired me out of a crochet slump and I thank you! I understood your clear instructions the 1st time around , although I will watch it again to jot down the pattern instructions in case I need them if I get fatigued and addlebrained late at night when I am free to crochet without interruptions. You showed me a complete pattern in under 18 minutes and I can make so many things with it! Amazing!
As someone who was recently diagnosed with arthritis. This was so much easier on my hands. Thank you for showing us this. I was wondering if you have a video on the fringe at the end of the scarf?
Though I live in Florida, I am making scarves for a trip to Europe in late November. I made this scarf 100 puffs long, and 4 rows across. I loved it so much, I am immediately starting another in a different yarn/color. I will gift one to a traveling companion, giving the recipient choice, and I will wear the other. Thank you Robin, for this gorgeous stitch, and for your excellent instruction!
Absolutely gorgeous! I'm fairly new to crochet and find it difficult to do that many puff stitches that are the same size. Thank you to Michelle Cronmiller who offered the suggestion of doing 4dctog for a similar look. I had to modify it a little more for my liking. Used pink, spring green, and a variegated pink, green & brown. Now just need to make the tassels

Hello Robin! Beautiful pattern for scarf, shawl or blanket . I will made one only need to choose the perfect yarn from my stash. Thank you for sharing your tutorial! Stay safe 😉😷👋🇺🇸💖🌻🌹😽
I'm halfway through my scarf and it's going very well. I noticed at first that because of the 2 chains that are added to the first puff stitch makes it larger than the second puff stitch so I went ahead and changed the second puff stitch to 5 stitches instead of 4. This makes the puff stitches more of the same size beside each other. At first I was having trouble with the puff stitches having the length I wanted but by placing my index finger on the yarn against the end of the hook while yarning over and through, yarning over again to make the puff stitch, this held the length that I wanted and worked very well. Thank you for a great pattern, I can't wait until it's finished.
I just completed a 4 row x 70 puff scarf for a man in white tweed, blue and mustard and it looks so classy and refined. thank you so much this pattern is dope!!

The puff stitch scarf is stunningly beautiful and a true work of art,all though it looks straight forward with me it is remembering the pattern and i am not really good at reading crochet patterns so i would not attempt to do it but if I was able to i would be o so proud, love watching your tutorials maureen
Beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing. 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 🌹
Thank you! 😃🧶
I am still busy making my scarf, but have really enjoyed the first three rows that I have done, I like to watch a movie at the same time, and I found this a very simple, but gorgeous project to do simultaneously. I have used the loops and threads facets yarn in the most gorgeous jewel colors, and I am thrilled with how it is turning out. Thank you so much for introducing the style of crocheting to me, it is definitely something I will be making again and again. 🎉❤
That sounds so beautiful Elizabeth and I do love tv crochet too!😀
This is so pretty and a little intimidating ! At first I thought there was no way that I was good enough to try this but after watching your video ,I think I can do it ! so I’m going to give it a try! Wish me luck!
You can absolutely do this!!! :D
I’ve just started this, only 3 stripes so far but I love it. I thought it would be hard, but no. I’ll be making more maybe to give as gifts. Thank you
This is gorgeous! Can’t wait to try it. This yarn is sold out everywhere tho.
I am pleasantly surprised by how easy this looks to work up but how complex it looks when finished. I will definitely be creating this pattern soon.
Absolutely love this scarf and can’t wait to try it!! I need to find the perfect color; I don’t think I have anything on my stash that moves me 😆 By the way, I love watching you work. Instructions are very easy to follow. Thank you 😊💕💕
I just had to make this. I just finished 1. it took me 2 weeks and i love it. I did get lost after the second strip and i had to frog a bit, but after a lil cry of frustration and watching the video 30 times.i got it. For the tassels i went to your other video and super easy. im going to start another one because this was initially a gift for my mom but after seeing how beautiful it came out, i need one for me.❤ thank you!
We’ve all been there Karen, I always want to cry when I have to frog work.😅 I’m glad you love it though, great idea to make one for yourself.😃
This is utterly gorgeous! I am totally going to be making this! Thank you so much... time to go stash diving lol

Getting back to crocheting and looking for gift ideas for chrimbo. I have 4 ladies who will live these scarves. Thank you. You also have a very easy to listen to voice which also helps. 🌈💐🦋. Heather xx
Hi Heather, that’s very kind - thank you. This scarf is perfect for Christmas presents, enjoy your crochet.😃🧶
It looks gorgeous! The puffs remind me of shells and with that color the first thing I thought was “aka the She Sells Sea Shells scarf” 😉☺️
I do believe I will throughly love making this. Thank you for the tutorial.

I'm making scarves for my two little granddaughters which have a hood and pockets. The scarves are grey and knitted in moss stitch and I'm doing a panel of this on the pockets in multi coloured baby yarn to decorate..tassels will be added to the bottom of the pockets and a tassel also on the knitted hood of the scarf....I love this pattern thank you very much Robin x

I want the same yarn, its beautiful. I will try it on yarn I have ,but order King Coles.
But I need to do one now
This made a beautiful scarf. I used 100% rayon yarn. I went down a hook size for the chain 7's because I wanted them to lay closer to the puffs. Thank you !!
