Yup. And in that universe, Scrubs is in its third decade of airing, Shonda Rhimes works at a Best Buy, and "Can't Buy Me Love" is even more fondly remembered.
@@someperson9999 According to the show, Cox was born in 1960. The retirement age is 65. That means he'll have his job till 2025. That is, if we ignore Scrubs Med School aka what ABC called season nine as a marketing scheme, since that clearly states that Sacred Heart was torn down and doesn't really exist anymore.
@@GermanLeftist No? Sacred Heart was rebuilt on the campus of the med school, which also became Sacred Heart. That's why in "Season 9" so many characters have the jobs they naturally would have after that time (Cox and Turk are still the chiefs, and Jo is a Resident).
Absolutely my favourite episode for Kelso, makes him appear human, makes him like everyone else. Not really the monster the hospital needed. Just an old man with a long life
this episode was most realest brilliant episode of all the 7 seasons the man who i hated the most done nothing but his job and even done higher than that , i think it was in e3s08 when cox got it too

This scene, and one towars the end of the series, are my favorite Dr. Kelso scenes. The other scene involves Kelso telling JD that now that Dr. Cox is the head of the hospital, he is essentially boxed in when it comes to hard decisions regarding patients. Kelso tells him that he will have to constantly fight with Cox in order for him to understand the severity of certain decisions JD will make for future patients. JD asks Kelso "will he thank me" and Kelso tells him regretfully "no...he will hate you for it". Pretty good mentor right there.
@whityjack not completely true, in early eps kelso did show great enjoyment out of being cheif and the perks that came with it, it was not untill some episodes later that kelso showed softer attributes and over all softened in general, key instances where the christmas episode with the father and his kid, the time his Gardner hector had to get treated, and probably the biggest key was in season 6 episode 7 his story (i believe its 4 but it could be 3) where kelso bonds with a patient
All I've heard is that it will be a "midseason replacement", meaning maybe January at the latest? They said it will probably be on Tuesday nights. Interesting fact though, they have confirmed that Courtney Cox-Arquette will be coming on board this season as the new chief of staff. Ought to be interesting...
They mixed up the airings here in America. This was supposed to be the season finale, not the "My Princess" episode. They have confirmed Kelso will appear in Season 8 still retired.
@sartanko then what side was it? whether humans are good or evil depends on your perspective. basically they're a whole bunch of animal instincts(some violent and some more socially beneficial) mixed together with a mostly ignored spark of something more, resulting in a sort of middling, mostly harmless, insignificant thing.
Anyone who watched the whole scene, Dr Kelso refers to his 2 dogs: Jojo and Sparky. If you look at the plaques in the background, you'll notice 2 of the plaques have those names on them. Did you spot it?
I hope you're kidding. Just in case you aren't consider that Kelso would recognize his own son. His son isn't in medicine. His son's name is Harrison, not Boone. Should I go on?

I think Kelso is secretly the grandparent you always want!
specifically the racist grandpa who you secretly crave the affection of.
In reality, he's actually a really sweet old man lol
I love Kelso, but no. Hell, no. Not noppity no.
I had a granddad like him in a manner of speaking, tough hard exterior on the outside but funny and cool on the inside
Not a secret for me.
