Idolmaster is so niche outside of japan that no one know the girl hiding under the desk in the terminator meme has a name, voice actor, story, sings some banger songs including an iconic song from digimon.
1:51 Translator's note: 765 is pronounced "Namuko" (if you're a weirdo), so Namco loves sticking the number 765 into their games. If you see the number 765 anywhere in a game it's almost certainly someone at Namco having fun with the company brand. Konami does the same thing with the number 573. In fact, you can spell out a whole lot of words in Japanese by abusing the many, many different ways you can read numbers in Japanese.
Just a heads up, the games aren't literally unplayable outside of Japan. They import quite well (speaking as someone who has every game (including G4U) since Idolmaster 2.) The only time you'll have issue playing a game is the original Idolmaster, which is on the original Xbox, which is region locked. But all the Sony games are region free and completely playable on Western consoles. whether you understand them or not, thats a different matter.
4:42 I'll try my best to bring back these ones, as well the specials of U149 anime someday. A curious fact about the Cinderella Girls anime. This occurred at 11:30 at night and at 12 at night, two special contents were released in the Cinderella Girls game (Smart, since midnight and the story of Cinderella are related): An 8-minute audio 10 minutes about a story that was not seen during that week's episode (NOMAKE), and the second was a radio program with the characters that appeared in the episode of about 10-15 minutes (MAGIC HOUR). For an anime to have a weekly special content almost as long as an episode, for 24 episodes, was something very innovative and daring on their part.
One other reason the mainline iDOLM@STER games never came west is because of those sudden Japanese prefecture quizzes that would turn off the normal gamer. Bamco thought "how can a Japanese video game fan be interested in Japanese geography?" PlayStation had enough flack for having so many anime games that it doomed the Vita. There's no way it can be done in a positive light. EDIT: With that in mind, that iOS port, that PS VR thing, some Tales costumes and the anime series are still the only way to legally consume iDOLM@STER content. Hate that Aniplex Japan pulled the 2011 iDOLM@STER anime from Crunchyroll though (thank god for Bamco in charge for the rest).
Was really curious are there youtubers will talk about Million live as the anime is showing up in 2 months To my suprise even some old vids by non imas fans anime enjoyer ML is either not mentioned or thought it's just a follow up story of original imas Really curious how ppl think about how they do their research on ML I mean, it's clearly a new and different branch off the original Imas right? Lmao

I like the scene where idolmaster said "Congratulations Kyun, you truly are the vampire girl!"

Creative productions with multidimensional talents, including singing

Why do you think korean pop culture has gone so big worldwide, yet the Japanese equivalence kind of stay within the country?
