Nonsense. Avatar is definitely a next gen game and has built in raytraced lighting by default just like this game uses Lumen. It's also using mesh shaders for geometry just like this game uses Nanite. Ubisoft's Snowdrop Engine in its current form rivals UE5.
This game really does look stunning, my word. With all the bells and whistles, the environments almost look tangibly real. Absolutely surreal to see game technology getting this advanced. And it runs really well too, at least well enough that a lot of people can actually enjoy it and not need a nasa computer for it lmao. I was hoping to see more particle effects and combat demonstration in it because the particles could genuinely tank the fps but.. we'll just have to see I guess. This tool did give me a lot more confidence though.
@fernandosmith7341 I second this. I mean outside of playing I want to even see vids like this soaking in the environment, enemies, everything looks so good
The hair rendering looks really last-last-genish... like Elden Ring at best. Texture resolution is also pretty low. Overall i'm not impressed. Shadows in this game without RT look blocky and flicker. But my biggest gripe is that even with DLAA the image quality is so poor. It's so fuzzy and blurry. Almost like analog signals.
Can we all agree this is the first Next Gen game from this actual generation? This is beautiful
Yep

Can you make a video of you exploring off the map?
Nice. Was wondering what the world looked like outside of the benchmark

The texture resolution is very dissapointing I agree. The shadows and blur leave a lot to be desired too
So true texture resolutions are very poor😢
