I am a real world Airbus pilot with thousands of hours flying the real aircraft and thought it would be fun to have a look at the new detailed simulation of the longest baby 'bus by Toliss as well as the new MSFS a320 NEO. Hopefully you find this useful and it brings another perspective to your simulation. Any thoughts or comments are welcome!

Fantastic review. I'm hooked!! Just purchased the Xbox Xseries today April 30th 2022, solely because Microsoft Flight Sim has been brought out on Xbox. Microsoft really has come leaps and bounds with this sim. Actually blown away with what they have achieved on their console. It's going to take me all my brain power to learn most or all of the techniques to fly, and thank you for an absolutely fantastic review. You have done Turtle Beach justice. Out come the savings. I'm going to enjoy!

@@DHSimulations your going to get a lot of casual users on the Xbox platform and many of those will not invest in this system, however for those that want the convenience of the Xbox without the investment required for a high end PC the offering is disappointing. As an Xbox user the yoke looks ok, I’ve seen reviews of people complaining about shaft friction/ binding, however the elephant in the room is the poorly executed throttle levers. There are already customers modifying the levers by adding adhesive rubber or draft seal to increase friction. I’m a retired engineering project manager, I’m astounded this was released, poor fundamental design, consumer testing, quality assurance and feedback groups.

Brilliant review, thank you. Your review has informed me enough, to the point that I am now going to purchase one!
I have seen some reviews, however, that there seems to be a small "dead zone" on each side of the movement, on the aileron axis?
I used to fly a Slingsby T67 (G-BLTW), Liverpool airport, many years ago, mostlty just GA traffic at that time, (no EASY JET etc).
Apparently, from other reviews, the first few small movements on the roll axis, on this product, nothing happens?
It maybe very small but I remember so vividly, that these SMALL movements makes so much difference, especially when landing, and in a cross wind or buffet?
The Slingsby was very reponsive indeed in this respect.
The Slingsby Firefly was pretty much a "Stick and Rudder" aeroplane and I was just hoping to try and replicate this somehow in my old age!
Thanks for taking the time and effort making a great review of this product - just about to buy one!

I’m new to flight sim and use the Xbox series S, I went from just using the controller to using a Hotas One to buying the VelocityOne and wow it has made my flying and landings especially so much smoother. I am so impressed with the whole set-up and yes can’t wait for the displays to work fully for the extra immersion.

But, in comparison to the fulcrum, it’s a great deal. The fulcrum with no throttle, I may add, is around 497 dollars. That alone is also a deal, but considering the thrust master has fees on the licensing and other stuff, it’s a great deal. If you want the honeycomb instead I suggest maybe reselling the throttle for 5 dollars cheaper 😂

I bought their, what started out as very good rechargeable wireless surround sound headset, and I say started out because after about a year of use the rechargeable battery inside holds less and less of a charge till I couldn't even use them anymore. "What's that you say? Why didn't I buy a new battery for it? Because Turtle Beach soldered the batter into the headset, so it wasn't removeable and they didn't sell the parts for people that have the know how, could fix them themselves. Their answer to the outcry from all the people that bought them?: "We are sorry but you have to buy a whole new headset." This was the X800s, and they were $300USD. After the hell they caught over them they dropped the price to $150, then just stopped selling them altogether pretty much sticking up a middle finger to everyone that shelled out a lot of money for their products. I like LCD but not sure on the overall setup compared to Honeycomb, which is the same price range. Honeycomb seems to be much more solidly built especially in the clamping to the desk space and general heftiness as well as overall flexibility of setup. The big part of course is internal electronics. My Honeycomb bravo is dead after less than 6 months with dead button contact and bad potentiometer on the axis. Pandemic is not helping with quality unfotrunately. I am surprised that wing wing and virpil haven't jumped on the bandwagon and came out with their yoke and throttle setup.

Turtle Beach sucks in terms of customer service. I bought their, what started out as very good rechargeable wireless surround sound headset, and I say started out because after about a year of use the rechargeable battery inside holds less and less of a charge till I couldn't even use them anymore. "What's that you say? Why didn't I buy a new battery for it?" Because Turtle Beach soldered the battery into the headset, so it wasn't removeable and they didn't sell the parts for people that have the know how, could fix them themselves. I'll never buy from Turtle Beach ever again.

I hate to break it to you but those are not Vernier controls. Verniers have a spiral grove inside them, so that when you twist or turn the knob with the button UNPRESSED you can make very fine adjustments to controls. Pressing the button in the middle causes the two legs inside that engage the spiral groove to retract so you can make larger adjustments, the release to tune it to where you want it, and then lock the control in place. SInce these do not have the spiral grooved tube, AND does not have the button on the end they are not Vernier, they are simply, push pull TPM. So, either they are straight up lying, or they have no idea what the word Vernier means.
