Our first video of the New Year is here and I’m so excited. We’ve walked you all through our amazing testimony of marriage and, now we want to tell of how God helped us to get there. In this video we’ll be sharing how we remained patient,focus, and pure during our single season. We’ll also be sharing some boundaries that we set in place once we entered the dating phase! Very true. God moulded me for 6 years after a very bad break up. And i believe that i will be a good wife to my husband.
Honestly, it’s hard to relate to this as a 32-year old woman who is saving herself. I’ve been in the church my whole life, but born again at 18. The Christian men I encountered in college were the friendlationship types, looking for company. Now, most marriage-minded men my age are already married, with children. The ones who are still single, are single for a reason, don’t know how to pursue/court a woman or looking for perfection. I am healthy, active, clean diet, slim and get told often I am “stunning” and look super young for my age. I am also kind and compassionate. I get approached by many non-Christian men. One man was just about everything I was looking for when I was 25, except he didn’t believe in Jesus, so I cut that off. God knows my heart and what I prayed He would bring once I cut that relationship off. Being a virgin isn’t viewed as honorable by most men after 30. So, it’s been very challenging to feel like a unicorn both outside and inside the church. I do believe strongly that my husband is near and I do find this video affirming.

I truly understand you, completely! I’m 31 and I’m in the same boat but during this time I’ve learned that God 1. Hasn’t forgotten me and 2. I needed MAJOR work to undue a lot of thought processes from my upbringing when it came to relationships and marriage. Stay encouraged and ask God if there’s any areas that you may need to work on, why is there a hold up? Also, something that helps me is not focusing on being in the “right” places like church. God shows up in the most unexpected places and people. Be open to whatever and however he wants to move and again, be encouraged! He’ll honor your faithfulness. :-)

Another good tip I think is not having all of these unrealistic expectations (it's ok to admire certain features on ppl but to the point where it has to be those requirements is absurd). If he has to be 6'2 ,brown eyes, name is Jordan or she has to be "thick" and pretty and have blonde hair than you're basically willing to wait until God starts letting you create ppl and bring them to life

Everyone doesn’t have the desire to marry and it’s biblical that God doesn’t give that assignment and desire to everyone!❤️
Nancy, I feel that way sometimes too but the Lord let me know plainly that remaining single is not his plan for my life. You know you are ready when you have learned to love God unselfishly and recieve and witness his own healing love in your life. When you feel complete in Christ to point where you have matured in the ability to perhaps love another person unselfishly... then marriage is perhaps a smoother transition. Just my thoughts

1 Corinthians 7 actually speaks highly of and recommends staying single. We were designed to glorify God, some of us do that better by ourselves and some of us do it better with a partner. It’s all about being obedient to the life that God has called you to live. I wouldn’t search for a desire to get married, if God hasn’t given you that desire.
