So similar to me and my husband except we knew each other for 7 years. Dated when we were 15 (2 hour long distance) and our parents thought we were “too young to be in love” so they made us break up. 7 years later and 7 days later we started seeing each other again (at 21) we started dating (2 hour long distance). We started dating June 2014 got engaged September 2014 and married November 2014. Now we have two babies a boy (3 in May) and girl (1 in Feb)! And God is still our foundation of our marriage. LOL. I reallllly had to give my heart to God and constantly pray that God would help me heart to stay guarded. Heather Lindsey says never covet the next season because it will have its faults and struggles as well. So instead of not trying to idolize marriage, prepare yourself for it. If you aren’t already read books, make sure you know how to throw down in the kitchen, keep your space clean. Things like that really helped me to prepare for where I wanted to be instead of waiting and wishing lol.
Last month I wouldn’t have watched this type of video! I’m a Whole Christian lol but so bitter from past hurt. I asked God to heal my heart and we’re only a few days in 2019 but He did it! So many people have told me to guard my heart, especially since I have a boyfriend now. But I don't understand what it means to guard your heart- could someone explain. @@vitushka01 It means to be careful. It means to not let your emotions or your fear tell you to do something that is outside of God's written word and will for your life. The best example that I can give you is having sex outside of marriage. If you are dating a guy and he is pressuring you to do something that is unscriptural then I can guarantee you that he is not the one that God has for you. How do I know? I know because a man who loves you will never encourage you to do something that will harm you. To guard your heart is to listen to that small still voice in your heart that will guide you in all of your decisions. If Jesus is the Lord of your life, He will guide you with peace and you will hear His voice giving you encouragement and direction. In essence, if you put God first place in your life and listen with your heart to what He is saying...the Holy Spirit who dwells in you, will guide you to the one He has chosen for you. Gloria Copeland once wrote, "You don't have to worry, you don't have to struggle. When you start walking in what God has for you, it will work in your life." When doubts and fear fill your life, I have found that the best thing you can do is to sit down and let the Holy Spirit lead you to passages in the Bible which will renew your faith. Your heart will always tell you what is right and what is wrong...a wise person will listen...and obey. Guarding your heart is in essence protecting your heart and the best way to do that is to let God have His way in your life. He loves you and He has chosen one person throughout all eternity to be your husband. He know who that person is and he was created and reserved just for you. Let God bring you together and let Him be the heart of your marriage. Wait on God and He will do the work of bringing you together..He is faithful.

Yes! I have asked God several times who my husband is and a few months ago I was sleeping and I believe I heard Him say as clear as day who it was. It woke me up out of my sleep that's how real it felt lol but like you, nothing is really lining up so I'm really confused. Phenomenal!!! God is so good! I’m glad y’all didn’t have to wait long and you did it the Lord’s way and he blessed you! The Lord spoke to me and told me who my husband was when I was 19 and he was 21! I’m 34 now and it took us several years to actually unite because I didn’t fully understand GOD’S WORD nor my gifts back then. I told him EVERYTHING that the Lord was showing and telling me about us and guess what he did? 🗣HE RAN, FAST!!! 😩😂😂 sidebar: I thought he knew also and I wanted to know if he did so I told him and I didn’t get the response I had hoped for lol...But see the word was for an appointed time and GOD wanted me to stand firm and pray and wait on him but I didn’t! I needed to see this today!!!! I recently reconnected with a guy I knew as child; mom's (were) are very close friends. Growing up our families were very close, we did everything together as kids, but sort of lost touch as we got older - my family moved to a different country, but the parents always kept in touch. Even tough we were in different countries, our lives always connected somehow. Recent family tragedies have brought us close again, and in the meantime I started developing feelings for him, he unfortunately doesn't feel the same way. We've both had past relationships that didn't work out, i'm convinced this man is supposed to be my future husband. Funny thing is, he always used to say we would get married one day. I want to give him some time and space - trying to wait on God's timing, as his might be different than mine. It's crazy I think this guy is my soulmate...am I crazy for wanting to wait?

Omg you dont know how much this video helped me. God had been reserving me for sooo long and I've been obedient to Him. I have recently been talking to a girl I have went to H.S with. And at first it was very friendly, I had no intention or feelings towards dating her. But months went by and constantly texting, and I started to like her, but I'm leaving my heart in God's hands, guarding it. In the beggining of this month I finally asked her out, and our date will be the Sunday coming up. And she makes me feel great, I can be myself around her, and I like her sooo much. I've been praying and fasting, for revelation in regards of her. But I'm very nervous, and this never happened before, first time I ever felt nervous to this extreme. To God be the glory. I have a similar situation but ima just wait and let God do the work. I'm at this point of my life where I am going through the process. What God has for me will be for me. I just have to trust God and have faith even when I am unsure of things. Adiamomd, I watched your video about a year ago even before I got saved. I remember thinking, “wow that’s crazy - imagine that.” A year later, I am deep in the Lord, doing his work, and just in love with Jesus.... but it’s just crazy how a year later, I am now currently in the same EXACT predicament as you were in - in that long waiting season, close friends, and can’t do much but write and come to God for strength. For the entire time, God kept reminding me of your story & now Im back just in awe because I remember watching your video for the first time. This is a hard season but your story always reminds me to stay faithful to God’s promise. I also believe God brought me back to this video to read the comments and see that I am not the only woman going through this. So if anyone else is reading this, you are not alone. I'm scared to be idolizing marriage, but I like that you said to just prepare for it. Preparing for it won't hurt anybody; instead it'll help you become a better daughter, sister, friend etc. Because in order to be a good wife you should have a good relationship with God, know how to clean, cook, build up/encourage, love the people around you etc There's no loosing! Thank you for this video, it really encouraged me. When God spoke to me where He will bring my husband I was very confused because I was in a 5yrs relationship that only was bring me pain! I had left the job i was in and was working where I was treated so bad, i cried a desperate tears that turned into a desperate prayer 🙏 to God to rescue me, it was then i heard this voice from behind me saying: i told you not to leave your other job, but you didn’t listen 👂, go back that’s where I’ll bring your husband, i turn and said, what? Who said that? I was alone there and that same voice repeated it again, i knew it was God because of a great sense of peace that came over me, and also cause it was a silent prayer. I been waiting for 10yrs still, but it has been an amazing experience because God is teaching me everything I need to know about Marriage, Wife, Motherhood and specially the kind Spiritual Leader my Husband needs on his side to walk with him in doing the Works of God in the Ministry he has been called to. I know how he looks like, where he’s from, his name, his age, his likes and dislikes... pretty much everything I need to know about him. I can relate to this, I’m convinced I heard the Lord tell me who my husband is, and let me tell you - your faith is not tested until what you heard from God does not match up with what you see. I get so confused and question if I heard right but I know deep down that I did. Just have to be patient to see it come to pass

Yes! I have asked God several times who my husband is and a few months ago I was sleeping and I believe I heard Him say as clear as day who it was. It woke me up out of my sleep that's how real it felt lol but like you, nothing is really lining up so I'm really confused. Phenomenal!!! God is so good! I’m glad y’all didn’t have to wait long and you did it the Lord’s way and he blessed you! The Lord spoke to me and told me who my husband was when I was 19 and he was 21! I’m 34 now and it took us several years to actually unite because I didn’t fully understand GOD’S WORD nor my gifts back then. I told him EVERYTHING that the Lord was showing and telling me about us and guess what he did? 🗣HE RAN, FAST!!! 😩😂😂 sidebar: I thought he knew also and I wanted to know if he did so I told him and I didn’t get the response I had hoped for lol...But see the word was for an appointed time and GOD wanted me to stand firm and pray and wait on him but I didn’t! After the first couple of years he got into a relationship with someone else and it got to the point where I was tired of waiting on him and I said ok well since he’s my husband it’s going to happen regardless so I’m going to do me until he figures out what’s real lol!! That was the worst thing I could have done because it only delayed the process even more. I was dating without a real purpose because I KNEW it wasn’t going to work with anyone else. I even hurt a few along the way and I started to feel bad about it so I said ok GOD enough is enough I’m doing it YOUR WAY from here on out! But you know what, I look back over everything that I went through and I don’t regret a thing! I’m a living testimony to singles of what NOT to do when waiting on your mate! 😂😂😂 For those who are single please wait on the Lord to bring your spouse to you. Ask for PEACE AND REST during the wait. Once you have peace it’s much easier to get through it. Seek ye first the kingdom of GOD and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you! He is our first love! Get to know him fully and you’ll be surprised how much he reveals to you about yourself! I worked on myself and my gifts and talents became much stronger! I would get so lost in prayer and fasting that when it was time for us to unite, GOD literally had to redirect my attention back to my husband and say ok now it’s time!!! I didn’t see it coming the way it did and it made it that much more special! Yes it sounds so cliche but it’s so true, WAIT ON GOD, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! God’s timing is impeccable for sure! I needed to see this today!!!! I recently reconnected with a guy I knew as child; mom's (were) are very close friends. Growing up our families were very close, we did everything together as kids, but sort of lost touch as we got older - my family moved to a different country, but the parents always kept in touch. Even tough we were in different countries, our lives always connected somehow. Recent family tragedies have brought us close again, and in the meantime I started developing feelings for him, he unfortunately doesn't feel the same way. We've both had past relationships that didn't work out, i'm convinced this man is supposed to be my future husband. Funny thing is, he always used to say we would get married one day. I want to give him some time and space - trying to wait on God's timing, as his might be different than mine. It's crazy I think this guy is my soulmate...am I crazy for wanting to wait?

God, revealed to me who my husband is and I have been "patiently" waiting for 5 years for that promise to be fulfilled and now that I am heading towards 31, I'm slowly losing hope, because as you know it's NOT EASY to wait on the Lord! But, the funny thing is everytime I lose faith God ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS reminds me of Matthew 6:33, so as you quoted that Scripture I just burst into laughter! So thank you for your obedience and boldness to share your testimony, it's encouraged me "greatly".

Omg you dont know how much this video helped me. God had been reserving me for sooo long and I've been obedient to Him. I have recently been talking to a girl I have went to H.S with. And at first it was very friendly, I had no intention or feelings towards dating her. But months went by and constantly texting, and I started to like her, but I'm leaving my heart in God's hands, guarding it. In the beggining of this month I finally asked her out, and our date will be the Sunday coming up. And she makes me feel great, I can be myself around her, and I like her sooo much. I've been praying and fasting, for revelation in regards of her. But I'm very nervous, and this never happened before, first time I ever felt nervous to this extreme. In your video has helped alot, please pray for me that everything goes the way it should, and God is in control. I'm really stressing for nooo reason 😅

Adiamomd, I watched your video about a year ago even before I got saved. I remember thinking, “wow that’s crazy - imagine that.” A year later, I am deep in the Lord, doing his work, and just in love with Jesus.... but it’s just crazy how a year later, I am now currently in the same EXACT predicament as you were in - in that long waiting season, close friends, and can’t do much but write and come to God for strength. For the entire time, God kept reminding me of your story & now Im back just in awe because I remember watching your video for the first time. This is a hard season but your story always reminds me to stay faithful to God’s promise. I also believe God brought me back to this video to read the comments and see that I am not the only woman going through this. So if anyone else is reading this, you are not alone. His promises are TRUE and God never goes back on his word.

I'm scared to be idolizing marriage, but I like that you said to just prepare for it. Preparing for it won't hurt anybody; instead it'll help you become a better daughter, sister, friend etc. Because in order to be a good wife you should have a good relationship with God, know how to clean, cook, build up/encourage, love the people around you etc

Thank you for this video, it really encouraged me. When God spoke to me where He will bring my husband I was very confused because I was in a 5yrs relationship that only was bring me pain! I had left the job i was in and was working where I was treated so bad, i cried a desperate tears that turned into a desperate prayer 🙏 to God to rescue me, it was then i heard this voice from behind me saying: i told you not to leave your other job, but you didn’t listen 👂, go back that’s where I’ll bring your husband, i turn and said, what? Who said that? I was alone there and that same voice repeated it again, i knew it was God because of a great sense of peace that came over me, and also cause it was a silent prayer.
I been waiting for 10yrs still, but it has been an amazing experience because God is teaching me everything I need to know about Marriage, Wife, Motherhood and specially the kind Spiritual Leader my Husband needs on his side to walk with him in doing the Works of God in the Ministry he has been called to. I know how he looks like, where he’s from, his name, his age, his likes and dislikes... pretty much everything I need to know about him.
It’s so amazing cause God doesn’t let me be deceived by any men, He tells me straight up, No 👎, that’s not the one. I know my testimony is on the way in Jesus Name.

I just graduated with a BA Theatre Degree, and then He called me into ministry. Now I'm waiting to see what He wants. I think its 'be still'. I was going to go get my Masters. I am so happy that I clicked on this video, I was losing hope a little. I feel left behind too. I am waiting to see where He wants me (in the stillness right now). I am also happy to hear He honors those who wait. :/ I want Jesus first, but also a husband He put the desire in my heart. I am ALSO on the worship team LOL thank you for your story and your help.
