Oh Caroline! I'm an old grandma (66) and i have to say, you are the total package! I love your videos! Along with affordable (i hate the term budget friendly) decorating ideas, using what you already have, thrifting and doing dangerous electrical wiring, you ALWAYS make me laugh! This time it was when you said you were having some kind of stroke! I realize strokes are no laughing matter, but in your context it was hilarious! ❤ from Texas
I just have to say, it is so nice that Leen is a part of this makeover since it’s her house. So many UA-cam makeovers don’t include the people who are going to actually live there. So many UA-camrs remake a another persons home in their own style without including that person in the decisions. It seems like often they will re-make a space in their own style and not necessarily in the style of the person who is going to live there.I really appreciate that when you have done makeovers you’ve included the people who are going to actually live there.
I don't appreciate those pushy pseudo decorators here on YT that always pressure people into decorating with what they personally like and not consider what their customer really wants and even low key mock the customer's preferences just because they don't personally care for their customer's style. A respectable professional always needs to respect the customer's tastes and work to please them and guide them, even through their more dubious choices' process, even if it is not their personal style.
Yeah I liked that too. I think that Leen is a friend of Caroline and didn't mind being a part of this video. Perhaps a lot of youtube-creators/redecoraters aren't so lucky to find people who are willing to help and be part of it? But that's just me guessing.
A few recommendations for another way to create a level line with peel and stick wallpaper: - if the wallpaper pattern does not require a vertical/portrait orientation (as the leaves and lemons seemed to be in many angles, with no strict 'upright' direction, this one did not seem to matter if it were rotated), instead apply it horizontal/landscape so the manufacturer edge becomes the level. Using a tape edge guide or pencil marks to help apply the now top edge straight. Ultimately, you end up only cutting the wallpaper at baseboards and windows, where you'd trim anyway. - measure the desired height and mark where to cut on the back of the wallpaper. Use a T-square to draw a straight cut line, then follow the line either with good scissors (that don't warp the cut edge like some dull or craft scissors do), or on a cutting mat with an x-acto knife and the T-square as a cut guide. - hide a wonky cut with trim, which can be wood, a separate wallpaper border, or even a craft, fabric or upholstery notion, such as cord or tassel fringe. Perhaps you'll see this (if you do) in time to save headaches for the next wallpaper project. Good luck!
"i make mistakes like it's my job" !!!!! YESSSSS. Tha'ts my life. That was so good. AND, this video is dope. Leen is the BESTESS. I want her to be my BFF.
Okay, I've gone down a DIY rabbit hole on UA-cam but I have to say, your style and approach is what agrees with me the most. I love everything you do! Also, love that you do stuff that's not only budget friendly but suitable for rental spaces. TYSM! Keep the awesome content coming!
Measure and cut the wallpaper before hanging. May or may not be trickier to manipulate but then you’re not cutting into the wall. Also then your scraps still have the peel paper and can be used somewhere else and avoid having the sticky side exposed and wasted.
I know this is an older video but I’m essentially binging my way through a good amount of your vids. I just have to say… I love you. Fab personality to make something that could not be exciting, exciting;) thanks for sharing
When I did half the wall - paper, I used a trim around the end of the paper to cover any errors!!! WHAT A FABULOUS JOB on that light !!!! Well done!!! You can always put a new top on that table and cut a few inches off the legs to make the table long and lower, if she wanted that.
This is a great makeover and just adds so much to the ambience of the apartment. To get a straight line you could add a thin piece of molding that could either stay or go after cutting the paper.
The whole sconce/votive moment was absolute gold. You're SO FUN TO WATCH! Honestly, I feel like we're having a conversation, even though we are *clearly* not. Keep being awesome, Caroline. 🙃
I've just come across your channel, Caroline, and I can't stop watching your vids, not only because of the content and your good taste, but also because your sence of humour is as awesome as your sence of beauty! 😁😁👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️ Sending so much love to you, Your New Subscriber 🥰
This is just adorable! I am renting in France and have been so stumped about how to make this space feel like home. I’m going to look for stick on wallpaper! It’s an 18th century beautiful apartment, but I am not a formal person. I want to honor the beauty of the rooms and at the same time not be their slave! Dunno. I hope I can have fun doing it instead of making myself miserable. Thank you for your you.❤
This is so beautiful! Please do a video about dining nooks as a part of a living room. I saw a video of you recommending this idea to your friends and it seemed like the PERFECT solution for my long awkward living room, but I feel like I still need more details about how you would do it. Thank you!
For straight cut wallpaper.... Chuck strink if paper is already located on wall or measuring tape/pattern placement pre cutting before putting it on the wall
Loved this! Can you make a video about your interior project proposals/process with clients? I know you don’t typically talk about clients, but perhaps what you prep for the first meeting?
I found that same pendant light in a cream on Facebook Marketplace. I had to rewire the whole think because it was hard wired and I needed it to be plug in. I included an in line switch so I could turn it on easily. It was my first time wiring anything and of course it took for ever. Then, finally, the moment of truth. I plugged it in, turned it on… and it immediately blew a fuse. Lol. I had to do it all over again! Smh. BUT I learned a lot, realized my mistakes, and had the confidence of knowing I did it right the second time. It’s still up and I’m still loving it today!
I'd hang the wallpaper and then use w piece of trim painted the same color as the wall to hide the raw edge of the wallpaper...a lot easier than trying to cut hung paper straight (esp if you're ocd like I am).
Nothing replaces the ambience that a great vintage lamp gives to a space. I love vintage lamps and that is all I have in my home. But yes, I am terrified of getting electrocuted so I always hire an electrician for that.
The nook is too cute! Love the wallpaper. Everything looks so good together. Kinda funky......adorable.....and fresh. Caroline, your fun personality is what this world needs during these weird times! Glad we found your channel. We would love to see you do some antique shopping outings. We live in Orange County, Calif and have some great antique shops here. One of our favorite vlogs we love to do is shopping! And its fun to see other people shop too. 😉
This is exactly the kind of content I’ve been looking for! 😍 A creative, beautiful space with character, created by a wonderful, funny & authentic person! 😄 So refreshing to have something other than so many neutral cookie-cutter makeovers on UA-cam! Thank you so much for making your awesome videos, you seem lovely, can’t wait to watch all your videos! 💕
looks fantastic! I just had a wallpaper fiasco myself. Super frustrating. Best way I found was to measure from the top down. Once I have the top aligned, I carefully pull down, then cut any excess material at the base.
I like everything except the painting around outlets, I think it always makes it look better if they're removed before painting I especially love the feral screams when the light came on 💜
I've seen quite a few videos from you now, having discovered you only a few adays ago though, but even though i really enjoyed all of them so far, this one is just the best. In the beginning i was so not a fan of the wallpaper print, but you used it so well, i really love the end result. I'll hopefully move into a new apartment soon, and i will definitely draw from this video (as well as others of your channel) to design my new space. Thank you!
Hi, id love to see a video, here you talk about all of your woodworking tools, and what you use them for. I'd love to start building a collection but don't know where to start!
“You shouldn’t do this, no one shouldn’t do this, certainly not me. Let’s just **** do it.” I vote you make a coffee table quote book.

The kerf tip is the type of detail I don’t see much of in other videos. And definitely something I would have messed up on!
Aw i love to hear that Camille. I love learning those little tidbits myself :)

The build up to the light turning on was epic 🤌
I love your designs. They are exactly what appeals to me. And you are funny, bright, and genuine.

It’s called “railroading” when you hang wallpaper horizontally.
Pro Tip when cutting wood and you don't want it to splinter or fray, put tape on the line where you want to cut! It will keep 'er nice and purty.
"i make mistakes like it's my job" !!!!! YESSSSS. Tha'ts my life. That was so good. AND, this video is dope. Leen is the BESTESS. I want her to be my BFF.
I like how the wallpaper is a dark background but the yellow pops brighten the space a lot.
Okay, I've gone down a DIY rabbit hole on UA-cam but I have to say, your style and approach is what agrees with me the most. I love everything you do! Also, love that you do stuff that's not only budget friendly but suitable for rental spaces. TYSM! Keep the awesome content coming!
Me too to all of this
LOVED IT ! I honestly need more design like this, everyone else is doing the same thing over again! So refreshing !
ah i love that!
Omg, you two cracked me up when you switched up the light 😂
My husband fitted a Cecil fan for my daughter. She said it didn’t work. He took it all to bits only to find she hadn’t put the switch on.
Nice job. X
🤣🤣🤣 I can't explain how much I laughed when you showed your faces when the lamp worked.
Gorgeous 😍 and functional. I actually like the "too long" bench seat. I think it makes the space look more welcoming.
Measure and cut the wallpaper before hanging. May or may not be trickier to manipulate but then you’re not cutting into the wall. Also then your scraps still have the peel paper and can be used somewhere else and avoid having the sticky side exposed and wasted.
Facebook marketplace is seriously so good for seating I love the bench and chairs 😍
Love the 2 antique chairs. I also think that it will be easier toslide into the bench because it is a bit longer than the table. It looks great!
So much to love about this makeover but the light is absolutely beautiful!
Like the wallpaper...but the whole wall would have looked great. Good job on the electrical work!!
Love it! So cute! Although i wish the candles on the wall were higher.
I am the Boho Queen and I love what you've done with the place.
O my gosh! This is the exact wallpaper I want in my kitchen. Ive been binge watching your videos so super excited about this one. 🍋🍋🍋
The climax with the light was incredible
I know this is an older video but I’m essentially binging my way through a good amount of your vids. I just have to say… I love you. Fab personality to make something that could not be exciting, exciting;) thanks for sharing
Same!!! Got my wisdom teeth out and this is my binge. Obsessed
Same 😁
Me too!
Personally i would have done the full height of the walls with the wallpaper. I love it so much.😍
When I did half the wall - paper, I used a trim around the end of the paper to cover any errors!!! WHAT A FABULOUS JOB on that light !!!! Well done!!! You can always put a new top on that table and cut a few inches off the legs to make the table long and lower, if she wanted that.
You make me LAUGH OUT LOUD every couple minutes. Definitely needed in these times.

loved this video, especially the build up scene -waiting for the light to turn on. Caroline you've got some serious talent.
You would measure the wallpaper and cut it. Then apply it from the bottom smoothing upward.
Caroline, thanks for being my new friend. I found you over Christmas break and now my friend and I are binging all your videos.
This is just adorable! I am renting in France and have been so stumped about how to make this space feel like home. I’m going to look for stick on wallpaper! the joy in tis video!!!!! OH MY
That little space is the prettiest I have ever seen, it's so welcoming and it would be a joy to see every morning.
You can take the outlet covers off . Less stress for the painter.
Those slag glass tulip lamps are some of my very favorite. I've seen them in several different colors.
Hen the background music kicks in I love it because it reminds me of the home tour videos I watch on UA-cam!
More room makeovers please!! More more!
This is so beautiful! Please do a video about dining nooks as a part of a living room. I saw a video of you recommending this idea to your friends and it seemed like the PERFECT solution for my long awkward living room, but I feel like I still need more details about how you would do it. Thank you!
Could add a trim above the wallpaper to make it look finished. And finish wallpaper in kitchen. Cute room 😊
You broke your own rule about flower arrangements on the dining table. 😉. Seriously, what a lovely space.
Oh noooo...lmao!!! The replay in slow-mo...hilarious. So GOOD.
For straight cut wallpaper.... Chuck strink if paper is already located on wall or measuring tape/pattern placement pre cutting before putting it on the wall
this is the best action movie ive ever seen. thank you
It's all gorgeous, but holy shit, that ceiling light! LOVE.
"Who cares what I think?" I do~!!!! omg love your videos and I'm so glad I came across this one.
The lightbulb moment 🤣🙌🏾👌priceless
what a good friend you are
The area looks great. I especially like the chairs.
I love how you comment on what you said in the video, very entertaining
Can you give some examples of indoor trees/green plants that survive inside through the winter? Thanks !! Loved this Reno! ❤
You made me laugh out loud several times. Thank you. I loved how it turned out. I wondered what the owner thought
It's beautiful. I love the wallpaper. Great job fixing the lamp
Caroline, you are cold summer color type and thus this pale lilac headband looks very flattering on you.
Wow that pink flower lamp🥰
Honestly to fix the wallpaper stuff I’d add a chair rail to clean up the edges
😂🤣 literally metaphorically 😂🤣❤️. Luv this nook! Sweet job.
This was awesome and the coolest part was how there was no big theatrical BS over seeing Lena’s reaction to the makeover. Thank you!!!
My love for your room makeovers is equally matched by my love of your personality and narration! 😄🖤
just please continue doing whatever you do that's good enough for me don't matter what it is 🤗
Carolin the renovation work looks amazing☺️ I would love to see mixing organic, biophillic and vintage!
Learning about Kerf and releasing why all my old woodworking projects at school were never the right size.
That pendant light is STUNNING 🙌🏼
The wooden beads are traditional in Greece, grandfathers carry them in their pockets, they are used for stress relief
Loved this! Can you make a video about your interior project proposals/process with clients? I know you don’t typically talk about clients, but perhaps what you prep for the first meeting?

Obsessed with the fruit shelf
Great makeover. I would never have chosen large print wallpaper, but it works.
Ms. B. Churchill
For your uneven trim job. 1.Wall paper border.
2. Tape and paint
3. Moulding
4. Black tape
Those lemons!!! Love love love!
I watched those same painting tutorial videos. Very cool indeed.
I'd hang the wallpaper and then use w piece of trim painted the same color as the wall to hide the raw edge of the wallpaper...a lot easier than trying to cut hung paper straight (esp if you're ocd like I am).

I just love your personality. Keep doing what you are doing. You are killing it.
Simply amazing!!! I cannot get enough of your channel! I am soo glad I happened to stumble across it. I am sharing with everyone!
Thank you so much for your video, Caroline! Greetings from Germany
The voice over about votives cracked me up. I love the space.
I loved the lamp antics!!!
looks fantastic! I just had a wallpaper fiasco myself. Super frustrating. Best way I found was to measure from the top down. Once I have the top aligned, I carefully pull down, then cut any excess material at the base.
You are a breath of fresh air ❤️
Amazing installing the chandelier! ❤
I'm looking at your older videos like this one. I love it! It's so smart and you really just go for it. In the end, every room looks impeccable.
Not a huge fan of the large lemon print wallpaper but love everything else especially that flower lamp!!!
I like everything except the painting around outlets, I think it always makes it look better if they're removed before painting
I especially love the feral screams when the light came on 💜
Loved watching this journey…post more design vlogs!
Aww, the space is just fantastic! So welcoming and warm. Thanks for the tips!
I literally got shivers from how much I love this space 💕
Omg this turned out so beautiful 😍❤️ I love it and I envy you this super pretty lamp 😊

You clever girl...SUCH heart and soul now in this nook~ Would love to cozy up in here!
Meraviglioso. Sei bravissima oltre che troppo simpatica. 😊 Saluti from Italy
Yeah, perfect! You should do more eclectic styles. You have a good eye for it. ❤️
