A tip when putting a nail in a wall that has wallpaper, take a razor blade and make a V in the wallpaper where you wish to place the nail. Pull the wallpaper up and back exposing the wall underneath. If you make a mistake, or wish to move the item at a later date, you simply have to press the V shaped wallpaper back on the wall into its original spot. The room looks beautiful!

I went to school for interior design & I’ve been working in design for years and I think you are just fab. I would never think to pair things the way that you do. THAT bed with THOSE nightstands? No way! I would have passed probably. But I love it. I love the mirrors and how bold you were to choose to wallpaper a whole room! I am taking notes 😉
For me, it was the rug. I couldn't see the rug relating to anything.... until she put up the wallpaper. Then, I went WOW!

I swear, those giant mirrors over the nightstands and the caning decor in her kitchen remodel is some of the most creative and dynamic interior design ideas I've ever seen. I FREAKING love it.
Am I the only one going through her back catalogue and going "where is part two? have I missed it?" I enjoyed this video a lot. Makes me think maybe I should spice up the walls of my guest room with some wallpaper and oversized mirrors! Very inspirational!

As a Brit, I’m amazed at how much space y’all have! This “small” room is bigger than my master bedroom!! 😫
It's bigger than my entire upstairs floor!
i guess we’re used to big spaces, that seems like a small room to me, perfect for a guest room though….😁🇺🇸🍷
I’m American and that’s a decent sized room to me. Not small at all.
They are rich. But even so I have seen humble places with twice the living space we have in the U.K.

Wow wow wow. I love the mix of modern and traditional! I wouldn’t have thought to put that rug with the wallpaper. And you were so intentional with mixing shapes so everything didn’t appear so rectangular 😍 I can’t wait to see it all come together!

@@Caroline_Winkler I love how effortless "appearing" your design turned out. That's talent! The room is beautiful while being cozy & relaxed without giving off a too studied or too precious vibe. I'm from DC as well and have become a fan of watching you master these spaces and enjoy your life in the process. So sorry about the furniture delays. I will now add Part 2 to my numerous war stories about supply chain issues :(

Aug 10 2022 update: Hi friends! FYI part 2 of this makeover is STILL IN THE WORKS - I'm sorry to say this is VERY standard for projects like this (remember this is not a DIY project like my other videos), and even more so the case during covid unfortunately.😢This project involves custom upholstery and many other items that take time. I know the wait is disappointing! And just for expectation setting with your own projects - know that if most design projects estimate at least a year at these days. So don’t worry - I haven’t forgotten about part 2! Whenever all the pieces finally arrive, there will be a part 2 video! ❤️Thanks for your support and patience!

Henkel Harris furniture is such great quality… so much better than anything you can find at Wayfair, Garnet Hill, Pottery Barn etc… this bed was finished by hand not a machine . It’s worth thousands.

What I find to be the most unfair is that I could WATCH you do anything😍 and I could LISTEN to you talk about anything (sing about getting carpets), bc you’re stunning and THE absolute funniest, but then you go and do something that’s *actually* useful and demonstrates crazy talent and creativity and it makes me think you’re a sophisticated bot. Also requesting more measuring dad in future vids.
At first I didn't particularly like any of it individually, the bed, the wallpaper and then voila, it came together and I love it. Very clever.
That bed brand is super $$$ ! and traditional so all good!

Your brother is awesome, helping you out with painting and carrying furniture! The best features in this room are the WINDOWS!!! They are perfect!!! I would have designed around those fabulous windows and it would be symmetry !! PERFECT. But you pulled that off and it is symmetrical !! That was not so much a makeover but a complete refit of a bedroom. Much, much better than a makeover.!!

Henkel Harris is a very high end old school brand. Beautiful solid wood furniture made in America. That was a clutch find!!!
4:36 When you talk about the brain fog it made me think about how that happens for me when I bleed. I’ve been tracking my cycle closely and finding patterns in my energy levels and moods throughout the entire month. I highly recommend it to anyone who bleeds! And in general my ADHD symptoms intensify around that time too.

At around 9 min, you show the lime green ceiling. With furniture in the room and unboxed. Are you leaving it? Confused.
I’m laughing, though, at your parents and your expressions. They’re classic. Love what you did, colors are really nice.
That heavy metal table was iron, you were correct. That old bed is easy to put together bc they made beds that way, once upon a time. And that “ claret” color is a red wine color. This is why you still need a mom! Glad to help ;)

The most exquisite, tastefully appointed room. The wallpaper choice was inspired! Pull that carpet out to fit under the reading chair. Then add bedside carpets near the tables for foot warmth. Need to see that pattern.
