Construction waste and consumption is a big problem. This salvage yard is committed to minimizing construction waste, providing an affordable resource stream for the community, and offering public education about reuse. They also make donations of free supplies to local nonprofits and neighbors in need. If you're working on a remodel or building a home, salvage yards are a great option for more than just decor and furniture -- you can find donated tile, kitchen appliances, doors and much more, all while minimizing waste and contributing to a community fund.

Hi Caroline, you have inspired me to thrift more for furniture pieces for my place!! I ended up finding a beautiful cherry wood dining table that folds out to seat 4, but it’s perfect for 2 in my tiny kitchen. Keep sharing your creative design ideas and promoting thrifting 💕
Wow what a place! I saw several things I would snap up in a heartbeat! There's nothing like that where I live, sadly. There are thrift stores & antique stores, but no architectural salvage yards or stores. That place is amazing.
I love the new mirror, it’s dark frame harmonizes with the dark of the inside of the fireplace. It also confirms with your go bigger rule. It’s just more regal. The other mirror needs a new home now.
I agree with the other folks. The darker, bigger mirror seems to be a better fit or balance in relation to the fire place opening. While a nice mirror the smaller one doesn't seem right over the fire place, but keep it! Love, love, love your energy and you make me laugh every time! I'm 73 yrs young and still decorating/rearranging my home and you are an inspiration!
"Jesus marrying Joseph" is killing me 😆. Also as a mirror and brass lamp fanatic I am having heart palpitations over the lamp you found right after the art deco bed and all of the great mirrors!!! Great prices too!!
I really like the big mirror over the fireplace. What about moving the smaller mirror on the wall opposite of where the coats are hanging and using it as an entry way mirror? Have you ever been to Miss Pixie's? I used to go there all the time when I lived in D.C.
I’m no interior decorator but I love the big mirror! It looks so lovely and fits so perfectly there on the mantle. There were so many pieces of furniture that was so beautiful and priced so low. They just need some TLC. They just don’t make stuff like use to and I never realized how much antiques and vintage items are so beautiful.
So here’s the problem with me…I was lukewarm on the hurricane lamp when you put it in your shopping cart. After you styled it on your coffee table I was in LOVE ❤️ I think I pass on a lot of great items when I see them individually. You have a great eye!!

I am going to sound like a real weirdo but my mum was an interior designer and your aesthetic and taste are so similar to hers it’s uncanny. She also had an obsession with glassware, mirrors, antique and good romantic, cosy lighting too. Watching your vlogs and videos really brought back memories of my childhood tagging along on her shopping trips for clients and endless hours of messing around with styling around the house. And the weirdest part, she had gone to university in Washington DC, so it feels like everything had come full circle. Don’t want to sound maudlin here, but you have really helped me feel closer to my mum after her passing, thank you! Keep up the good work, I love your videos.

Discovered your channel within the last few months and you are by far one of my fav UA-camrs! Your personality is infectious and you’re so fun to watch! Thank you for your videos ♥️
I'm team new mirror on the mantle! I think since the lines are so clean and simple, it can pair well with many styles. Also Second Chance in Baltimore is excellent and probably has lower prices than DC in general.
Hi Caroline! I also have a background in interiors, and have similar taste, so always love your design videos. I’m so happy to see you have such a large audience now- HOLY!! It is well deserved and I hope allows you to validate your natural creative talent and grow even more. Hope you are healing well and can’t wait to see what’s next. Caroline, the new mirror looks beautiful on the mantle. I think its size fits the space better than the smaller mirror. The little lamp is precious. You did so good👏🏻👏🏻 The prices at the salvage yard were unbelievable. They are practically giving that stuff away. Great find🙂
That salvage place can have as many names as it wants. Dear god it’s amazing! You are killing me here in Brooklyn with those prices?! I want to drive there right now even though I would get there, after they close. Wow. Just wow. So many fantastic things. Also, I’m totally obsessed with your videos. You've inspired me to visit my local thrift shop recently. Bought an absolutely gorg ceramic hand decorated plate for my jewelery for € 1.50 and saw so many cute things! For sure buying some Christmas gifts there. 😊
I think the new-find mirror is a better scale and colour than the other one, and more architecturally interesting. The dark frame picks up on the deep colours of your fireplace surround and your Squares art piece (above your sofa) too.

The BEST interior design channels on UA-cam by Paige Wassel is subscribed to you and likes your channel. You probably know this but I saw where you mentioned her in a previous video. Love your channel!!!!
Love it-great video. My hospital Admin Dad was in a serious auto wreck (hit twice in the accident) when I was 12. Being Catholic in those days-all huge families...we had 10 kids all about a yr apart. Mom was left @35yrs old to raise us all alone (kinda makes the 1 child complainers sit up & think twice). I being the eldest, helped her raise all 10 of us-so did we THRIFT?! I'm just now in the last few yrs beginning to do things more for myself, however, I do know the JOY of giving & serving & continue in this mode I was taught by my precious Mother, Peg, "In GIVING, WE RECIEVE". All in balance w/boundaries. We all learned how to make Diamond out of the Rough & get on our elbow grease to create something beautiful. Love your place & took pics of your mantle ideas (the Mirror is gorgeous!) as I just left my retirement Dream Home I'd designed & built...from a mandate mania coastal state to move to a FREE state. Starting over at 71 is rough to move-but there's no price for Freedom! So, starting over in an older Casita Spanish style house & making it my own (hence-found you!)...FUN!!!! Thnx again, for your great creative video design ideas.
We just bought in DC and my realtor HIGHLY recommended this place. I'm glad to see it's worth the hype. As soon as our house gets over the CO VID I'm out here🥴
Thanks so much for visiting Community Forklift! I've been a supporter forever - I picked up bricks for a brick edged garden we were making. Great choices for young people first furnishing a home!
Just stopped by to say you have a lovely smile Caroline, not being creepy but it is a genuine compliment. After a serious rant when you let out a quick / cheeky smile, always makes me smile ! Hope you are doing well !
This was so nice, you made us a cool CW video snack before your surgery so that we wouldn't have to be starving for your insights while you healed! Literally using the last shreds of your frayed meniscus to take us on a thrifting journey. You're the best, Caroline😎!
I used to watch your videos when i was dreaming of moving to DC, and now I have moved here! They are so helpful as I’m trying to design my new space and really entertaining. I look forward to seeing that mirror on FB marketplace if you decide to get rid of it 😆
I’m in Baltimore and there’s a few places that have incredible antiques. The first that comes to mind is a place called Second Chances, which is near the casino here. But it’s this MASSIVE warehouse that has everything from the tiniest little vintage fixtures to literal two story stone columns pulled off old federal buildings or colonial houses. They have furniture, they have Knick knacks, they have vintage movie theater marquees. It’s insane! But so cool, even to just look around. I also think of another place called Ryan’s Relics that’s in my neighborhood(ish). It’s an antique place that mostly focuses on furniture but they also have smaller items. They have TWO locations right down the street from each other because they have so much inventory! PS. I never comment on UA-cam videos and I hardly follow anyone but you are one of my favorite channels.. Still cackling over the “Jesus Marrying Joseph” comment. Love your vlogs too. Sending you much appreciation.💙
Love the mirror above the fireplace! Also the seven articles arranged there as well! Always use an odd number of things! 3 5 7 just like flowers in a vase! Caroline you are so charismatic! I always enjoy your videos! Thank you for being you!

Oh whoa, keep that bigger lyrical mirror! It's gorgeous and it fits perfectly.
The BEST interior design channels on UA-cam by Paige Wassel is subscribed to you and likes your channel. You probably know this but I saw where you mentioned her in a previous video. Love your channel!!!!
'Jesus marrying Joseph!' is right for this heat! 😂 Great video as usual! Hope your knee recovery is going well.
I’m so glad I randomly found your channel! I look forward to every time you upload! 🌷
I adore your channel! You are authentic and I appreciate you sharing the good and the bad.
This was so nice, you made us a cool CW video snack before your surgery so that we wouldn't have to be starving for your insights while you healed! Literally using the last shreds of your frayed meniscus to take us on a thrifting journey. You're the best, Caroline😎!
Quality fun as always ! I love the lamp so much I was so glad you got it
I love that big mirror the best!!!
I used to watch your videos when i was dreaming of moving to DC, and now I have moved here! They are so helpful as I’m trying to design my new space and really entertaining. I look forward to seeing that mirror on FB marketplace if you decide to get rid of it 😆
Ahh I’m so glad to hear this! Welcome to the area 😍❤️🙌
OMG as always, you are so freaking funny. What a fabulous store! Thanks for another great video:)
I love Second Chances! And thanks for the tips about Ryan's Relics.
oh amazing, thank u for this recc! i could definitely go for a baltimore trip
Up in Canada we have the ReStore which looks a lot like this. Such a great way to find unique and second hand furniture and hardware
Congrats on going viral, babe! I started following you less than a month ago and you were at, like, 45,000 - now you're at 235,000?!
doh, thanks Rosi! it's been a super strange trajectory
Such an amazing feel-good video! Interesting, yet very relaxing! Looking forward to your next video☺
Girl the big mirror over the mantel looks so much better than the small one! keep it!!! hahaha
Love the mirror above the fireplace! Also the seven articles arranged there as well! Always use an odd number of things! 3 5 7 just like flowers in a vase! Caroline you are so charismatic! I always enjoy your videos! Thank you for being you!
