I think I need to upgrade to this model from the one I have right now. The only difference, is that I am totally blind and can no longer see LCD screens. However, I would have to look for a George foreman grill that which does all the same things but with a dial for the temperature and a dial for the timer, so I can braille label everything, because I love the current George Foreman grills better than the original ones where you could not remove the grill plates for easy cleaning and washing.

Great review, great attitude, and great video. I'm working out of state and living in a hotel and something reminded me of George Foreman grills, I wanted to see if it was really smokeless so that I can sneak and cook in the room. I wanna see a juicy burger on this thing.

Cook bacon in the Microwave the right way. I've learned to get bacon evenly and thoroughly cooked in about 2 to 3.5 minutes with virtually no cleanup. I place 3 to 4 strips on a folded piece of paper towel (4 half-size pieces doubled) and that on a paper plate. I then place one piece (2 half-sized pieces doubled) on top of the bacon. I tend to like it a little more done and I never have to go more than 3.5 minutes. Simply take the bacon off, throw away the paper plate and the paper towels that have absorbed grease. The bacon fries evenly too. Bacon is actually good for you too.

Hi Jeff. I have a GF Temperature Dial grill which I love but is on its last legs. The temperature dial goes up to 425. Does the GF Smokeless Contact Grill also go up to 425? Thanks! BTW - I cook bacon at 425 and it cooks up pretty quickly.

Truly brand-new grills do smoke once when you plug them in to test; it's normal -- no cause for alarm.
Same can go for cheese sandwich makers or Twinkie makers (yes, there really was a licensed appliance to make your own Hostess Twinkies).
    I speak from personal experience.

Put a thin layer of water in the grease tray to eliminate the smoke.

I cook bacon in the microwave using newspaper. I usually use the thick bacon and I make 3 slices. I takes about 6 minutes. After you are done, just toss the newspaper. and clean the inside of the microwave.

@@Jeffreviews4u it works super good, first time I tried that, my teacher and now friend showed me at school, I was amazed, it makes it perfectly crispy, all throughout the slice edit: I think I cooked like up to 12 slices of bacon at the most doing that, took about 10 to 12 minutes, it cooked it really fast, and the cool thing is the newspaper soaks up A lot of the grease but jot alll of it so it's just right

Thanks for the review, Jeff! Too many pieces to wash for a grilled "effect" to me - not especially thrilled with it. I think I'd rather just use/wash a single frying pan. (I do my bacon in the oven with a foil covered cookie sheet - nothing to wash at all.) I guess I'm just a little lazy in my old age - hate doing dishes! :-) (bacon: cover an edged cookie sheet with non-stick foil, lay the bacon right on the foil, I cook mine (thick) for 15 min. at 450 - I like it very crispy - so experiment with time/temp. I let the tray sit until the grease has cooled (gelled up), then roll up and toss in garbage, nothing to wash :-)
