I've had this George Foreman grill since 1994! love it!! I still use it 1-2 times a week - it's like the million mile Toyota. Now and then I even put it in the dishwasher to clean it. It's great for grilling sandwiches, steak, chicken on and on - it's used much more than the oven.

Just got a George Foreman today at Big Lots here in southern ca.
It was only 20.00 brand new. cooks like 5 burgers.
    Family size 5 servings.
I’m impressed how fast it heats up.
Thanks for a great review on this grill.

I loved the George Foreman Grill. My parents got one as a present and I used it and it was great I was not the biggest fans of infomercial products but I had the best experience with this grill I would grill steaks and sausages loved it. It was great till it finally kind of broke when an accident happen but I had good memories of the George Foreman grill this is the kind of products that is good and I recommend it. It's one of the reasons the new Geroge Foreman bio film trailer I smiled on the last part of the trailer caused they mentioned the grill and I just smiled on it. Where another Sports Legend Joe Di Maggio in his older years promoted Coffee Machines and it did well and the product has a big popularity same with this product.

Living in Buffalo, I feel like Foreman grills were an essential for everyone I know because you can't grill outside nearly 6 months out of the year. I have an Evolve Foreman grill with the swappable plates, so it doubles as a waffle maker and flat griddle, but I love how the one you got looks. It's like a quarter the thickness of mine and has more surface area.

It was a really hard decision what model to get. I didn't mention it (I don't think) but I had a bad experience with my older removable plate one, but I can see how they'd be easier to clean. The nostalgia also got to me with this one.

The lawyers from the company screwed Foreman. It made millions and at one point they said the grills were a net loss and that Foreman owed them money. They paid him pennies on the dollar of what they owed him and then declared bankruptcy. They started a brand new company, purchasing the bankrupt assets. That's why Foreman's signature and likeness is not on the package - they lawyered him completely. Because of the contract, he can't even sell his own grills anymore.

I use an airfryer with 2 baskets. No butter or oil needed and the fat from the meat drops down into the bottom of the basket so the meat is really lean.
I bake potatoes in 1 basket and meat in the other one.

Ive owned several over the past decade. The problem I have with it is that you get about a year (give or take a few months) out of the elements if you use it daily. I had that expensive smokless model with the touch controls, the elements died after a year. I had the cheap model with no temp control, same thing after about a year the elements died. Also around that time the coating starts coming off no matter how carful you are cleaning it. If it was only occasional use it would last alot longer so meh, just depends if you ok with tossing it in the trash every year..
