From an Aussie, I always love your videos, Wes. Unlike some videos regarding the Ukraine war, there is no synthetic voice, cheesy graphics or recycling of info from previous videos. Just well-researched info from someone with lived experience regarding what they are talking about. Keep it up mate!
had an RAAF Roundel on my cars window. Someone asked why it was there and told them, "It's because she flies, mate" Got a pretty good reaction from it 😂
Wes, as an Aussie, your videos are insightful, with enough background to explain the gist of the matter to the uninformed, and you present it well. Thanks, mate!
I’m proud of my country 🇦🇺 for donating JDAM-ERs and other weapon systems to a fellow democracy on freedom’s frontline. God bless Ukraine… you are fighting for us all. Another great video, Wes. Thanks.
If you ask me .. Australia is punching above it's weight in helping Ukraine. Tanks, Drones, Air defence, Bush Masters, trucks, artillery, ammunition, clothing, JDAMS etc. Something to be proud of in this increasingly dark world.
Punching above our weight is what we do. It’s stopped in tales of being out numbered and gunned yet overcoming these seemingly unsurpassable odds with humor, ingenuity and bravery. You can’t change my mind.
Can't get enough of your videos, I'm awake early (pain after a surgery) feeling miserable, then all of a sudden POW! Wes drops another Aussie video 🤙 days off to a good start 👍
I have not observed Aussies breakdancing in their native habitat but I have observed kangaroo in various sizes, and I agree both kangaroo and Aussies are mostly pretty good. It is a small military, but they are very professional.
It's great that Australia supports Ukraine. And for Australia it's also great to NOT having to scrap these explosives. Clearly a win-win situation. Slava Ukraini!
Hi Wes , found your channel by accident but absolutely love it , its, so informative . I've been in ukraine now for 2 years working as a medic and can say it's not only weapons Australia has supplied but also tons of medical equipment like so many countries . Thank you everybody .

Fun fact: Texas can fit into Australia 11 times. The Australian population is approximately 26 million, and Texas's population is approximately 30.5 million. Texas will fit into Western Australia 3.7 times with a population of 2.7 million. The estimated population of Kangaroos in Western Australia is between 1.7 million and 5 million. We are still learning to count!
Thanks for explaining about the GPS aspect. I had read the leaks and I myself had believed that the missiles were failing significantly. Thanks for clearing up that misunderstanding.
We're either not that clever or highly ironic. My Aussie primary school emblem was a blue manna crab (very tasty BTW). Motto was "striving forward". Crabs can only move sideways. Which any kid in the area who went to catch crab knew. I have to believe we were taking the piss. Lesson is, don't dart forward, dance left n right, and your gone! Until the crunt bites your toe. If only they didn't taste so good...
Have a closer look at the RAAF roundel and you'll see the talon-like claw on each hind leg. Roos use these claws by standing on their tail and rip open an opponent's stomach (potentially). I've had the odd male in my backyard resting after fights and with major gashes on their stomach. You don't want to mess with a cranky roo :)
It is as easy to make a gps jammer seeking munition as it is to make a radar seeking munition. Then you can start the attack on the target with some gps jammer seeking ones and then follow it up with the gps guided ones.
The Australian glide bomb project also included a scanning and neural network capability to enable autonomous hunting capabilities in that it could identify valid enemy targets.
As a RAAF Gunnie who has worked on FA-18a/b/f & EA-18Gs, and also at our Air Weapons Depot, I can say this video is much more accurate and well researched than most I have seen on similar topics, well done!
A Ukrainian mate sent me a pic of the Aussie JDAMs ready to go on Ukrainian F-16s probably 2 weeks ago, keep up the good work mate. Australians don't lift there tongue as much as Americans when speaking. Try not lifting your tongue as much with the Aussie accent 😁

They offered the FA-18s but these were rejected. They had actual combat experience over Syria and Iraq. A lot of Australian kit was second hand when they first got it. It took 9 years for Australia to finally get the F-111s in the late 1960s/early 1970s. The F-111s were taking too much maintenance time to keep flying.
lmfao do not speak unless know fact.. Original sale of the rest of our F18 were to a USA defense company so they could train USA pilots, but before final deal went through of this that same USA defense company decided to donate them to Ukraine and all Australia had to do was resign the paper work for final deal to be to Ukraine.. Easy to research all this.... Had nothing to do with Australia if Ukraine got them or not as were already sold to USA....
Australia has a very small population so we don't have a large military, this means that we don't have a lot to offer Ukraine but as we value freedom above everything else we will do everything possible to support Ukraine and any other country that is having its freedom attacked.
Australia is rapidly becoming a significant military power that packs the punch of the boxing kangaroo. Kangaroos are one of only a couple of animals that cannot walk backwards, and therefore can only ever move forwards. The inability to walk backwards is the main reason the animal is used as a symbol for the country
Why is the Kangaroo the Australian Infantry Symbol on the Regimental Hat Badge. ? Because the Kangaroo can not take a backward step !!!!! AND YES it can also kick you in the Balls
As an Aussie I can see why we’d give Ukraine some of our hardware especially if we’re retiring it however we’re also degrading our ability to defend ourselves we don’t have the stockpiles nor the equipment to spare nor do we have the 120 day strategic reserves of fuel it’s an absolute joke
Australia purchased 75 of the original Hornet A/B. 4 crashed. 25 of the last purchased/ best condition sold to Canada. 8 went into Australian displays. '38? to be disposed of'. The youngest Hornets left were 34 years old. The Typhoon Tranche 1 (26 by March, 2025) being taken out of service are younger (what is happening to the trained crews?). 2035 for the Tempest seems far in the future, and with no carrier version planned? What could be a short term move? A new squadron of EA-18G Growlers on a lend-lease basis to the UK, that can use land bases? The Australians are using mobile arrestor wires for land runways for their Super Hornets. The UK Growler pilots could get at least tail hook training and catapult training on land. (US has land based catapult). The RAF F-35B has no tail hook. Even the MQ-25 Stingray & GD Gambit 5 US drones require catapult and trap systems. The RAF drone pilots might need to be catapult and trap wire qualified one day?
