This video was a series of previous videos combined into one. But even then, goes to show how much work is put into things like maintaining aircraft, creating new aircraft, training future pilots and carrying out exercises to prepare for a real life combat situation. Much respect to all those serving in the military for their hard work and commitment to protecting their country and allies abroad.

Former machinist here. There's a lot more work in making those wierd and precisely shaped airplane parts than you think because you can't weld or cast aluminum. You have to start with a block of metal and cut it down until you get the part. Most of the material goes in the recycle and robot cutting machines do most of the work but it might take a semi-skilled worker all day to make 100 VERY SIMPLE parts while the bigger structural parts we did often took three guys all day to make a couple dozen.
This is why airplanes are so expensive.

The F-35B is the most essential component of our broader strategy in securing the pacific. A stealth fighter, fleet defense and strike fighter, deployable from a network of many tiny, faster ships is the only viable naval aviation deployment strategy moving forward. Super carriers are too large and vulnerable to sail within 400 miles of China ground-based anti-ship cruise and ballistic missiles, in wartime. These ships can sail closer and can spread the power over larger areas. They are smaller, cheaper, harder to track, and as a distributed system, if one leaves for repair, you don’t lose an entire limb of our forces…
The carrier can act as the center of the hive, of the distributed system. Moreover, carriers can then shift their operations to larger, heavier aircraft for long-range strike, interdiction, surveillance. AEWACs, refueling, logistics, etc,,,,

And yet that budget will continue to increase as multiple companies are now price gouging the parts and overall have every bit of information to fix the equipment that the pentagon does not have, don't be surprised if the f35 turns into the similar situation of the f22 just becoming too expensive

As much as I love the A10, us ground troops need to let it go. Our future wars will not be like Iraq and Afghanistan. the next enemy will have capable antiaircraft capabilities.

In this vid some of the guys were saying that the hardest part about flying the f35 is absorbing all the information like where to look and what to do as different situations arise and what instruments to monitor etc. A really good gamer should be able to absorb multitudes of information relatively easily lol, the f35 simulator is basically a rlly good life like video game lol. So if you want to be a fighter pilot in the future, get yourself or your kid an Xbox like the one I built in my thumbnail😊.
The military or the government need to Stop phasing out all the other aircraft for the F35 it's going to create problems in the future and cost a lot more. I can understand phasing some aircraft out but they are phasing out way too many tried and true aircraft. IDC how good the f35 is. Everyone always says it's the best plane they've ever flown(almost like they were coached into saying that) but it never needs to get close enough to dogfight so go figure. I could go on all day about reasons to Not phase out other aircraft simply because they think the f35 will be able to do everything those aircraft can better. Guess what we have the f35 now, o ok so were good to phase out the c5 and the b2 then 😆.

The F-35 doesn't seem like a replacement for the A-10. t seems like aspects of the plane's envelope (low cost, robustness, massive ground assault capability) can't be replaced by the F-35. Also, imagine Iran getting hold of F-35 tech and giving it to all of their buddies, right? Not to mention that the USAF could buy several A-10s for the price of one F-35.
I think I'd ask the Army if they like the A-10. That's what the plane is there for, after all. Are ground troops and tankers happier with A-10s hanging around, or do they prefer Apaches and the new choppers being developed? A replacement with a higher ground speed seems like a good option.

Having personally been in the shit when cas finally gets there and they have an A10, it would be a terrible disservice to ground pounders to mothball them. Just KNOWING there are A10s on station makes you feel better leaving the wire.

turn the A10 into a one way remote operated drone: radar absorbent coating. counter measures. explosive ordinance penetrator body. Metal Storm Main weapon. Remove the pilot. keep the rest. It will be the Death Hog. operated by a pilot that is remote using a F35 similar helmet for piloting.
