- Hi, in this video I will show you how to do a cabin filter on a 2008 Dodge Avenger. I will also show you how to get rid of that ticking noise every time you turn your car A/C on. Thanks, I hope I helped someone fix their own car with this video. :)
The problem has 2 names:
1. Air Recirculation actuator
2. Door Blender actuator
Here is the link for the replacement: amzn.to/37CEbj6 - Авто та транспорт
Yeah I'm tired of turning on my car and people looking at me funny. About to do this now 😂 ty so much!
Amazing - I had the same problem and I just went out and fixed the noise in 2 minutes start to finish! The disgusting part is that last week, my mechanic told me I had a block in my A/C line and they would need to pull the entire dash out of my 2013 Dodge Journey to fix it at a cost of between $3,000 and $4,000!!!! Thank you so much - the world needs more honest people like you :)
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. You should show your mechanic the video then tell him that you are replacing him with another dishonest mechanic
to be fair, you didn't fix it, you just unplugged it. Fixing it would be replacing the actuator. Which would not be a 2 minute job.
@@bowiehunterthat’s fair, but the MUCH MORE affordable option should be proposed if you have any decency about ya
@@live4christ295 the part is like $17 on rockauto. Omg so expensive.
@@bjvu9460I mean air and heat still flows. Nothing was blocked. So they need a new mechanic anyway
Yes!! Thank you!! The shop wanted over $500 to replace it
My trusty 2008 is too old to spend that on something I don’t even need. And I’ve been listening to the constant tick tick tick
Thank you thank you!! I am fixing this in the morning!! And I’m a 57 year old woman who knows very little about car repairs
Thanks I'm so happy you found my video , thanks for your feedback
I wasted money on a new heat actuator on my Jeep Compass 2013 but the irritating sound never stopped. Thank you so much, I have just followed your advice right now and I am very satisfied with the results.
Thanks boss for your feedback
Dude, you're a frickin' genius. This has been bugging the hell out of me for months!
Lol thanks boss
@@nestorautorepair Thank you Sir!
I thought my compressor was messed up, but here I am sitting in awe. Thanks a lot bro!
Yes sir thanks for your feedback
wow! i have the same problem in my 2012 avenger and i just searched “ac clicking” didn’t expect to see the same model! very helpful
Your welcome I also have 3 others video same sound similar problem fix ,, thanks for your feedback

You're welcome boss , thanks for your feedback

Best luck , thanks for your feedback Brandon
4 months and u not bothered to follow up with what happened.... So??!!
Did It Work For u?
@@solcutta3661three years later and still no update!!
I have been hearing this noise for a year or so now and could not figure out the issue. I'm about to do this in my 2014 Chrysler 200 as soon as I get back home. I took it to a mechanic and they wanted to charge damn near $500 to take the dash apart to repair it. Nope. I'm so glad I found this video.
Wow for real let me do it for $499 lol ,, just follow the noise your car has 3 or 4 door blender so one of them is bad
Thank you!! My Mazda 3 just started doing this and I was quoted over $1,000 to fix it! I’m going to try this instead🙏
Wow $1,000 yeah try that don’t I also have other video same noise but in different place . But still will be one of the door blender actuator. Best luck Maria thanks for your feedback
Fixed!!! (Sort of) Thank you thank you thank you!!! It's been making me crazy!!!
When I have the air on "intake," the ticking is loud, and sounds like it is coming from the front. But (thanks to you) I discovered that when the air is on "circulate" it still knocks, but it sounds like the ticking sound is coming from the back, but it is very quiet in comparison. (Like, I only really hear it when the glove box is out. Once I close it up, I can't really hear it)
Thanks bro! I have the same sound in my Kia Sorento for a year now and I am positive it’s the same issue!
You're welcome boss
Perfect! After replacing a blend door actuator and the noise still happening this is just what I needed.
Then you have more then one actuator bad sir
Basically unplug every actuator sir, the fix is still there :)
Fallow the noise and unplug it
Same thing happened to me. Had no hot air at the same time as the knocking noise, replaced the blend door actuator and fixed the no hot air problem, but I realized it also knocks when on circulating air.
@@masonmccalister8535what did the problem wind up being??
I looked up what was happening in my car and this video popped up, i haven’t tried it yet but I’m 100% sure it’s going to work. I was so worried I’d have to take it in again. I have a 2009 Dodge Avenger so I can’t wait to fix it and see if it helps. Thank you so much
Your welcome boss thanks for your feedback and best luck
I tried it on my Jeep Compass 2013 right now after watching his video and I got relieved of that irritating sound immediately.
Thanks boss , I'm so happy for you , thanks for your feedback
This will be on a jeep as well

Same here but a dodge avenger 2014 SE making the same noise
Thanks so much, that was my exact issue. I’m on a budget and now I can solve the problem until further notice.
One question though, if this issue would be ongoing, could it drain my battery? The clicking noises persisted with the car off as well. I unexpectedly experienced some having battery issues.
Okay
I was looking for this video my Saturn Aura 2008 just started to make this noise a week ago thanks bro u a legend
Thanks boss
Definitely just worked for me after 3 months of the noise… right on!
Thank you so much! Because of you I tried pressing the button that reuses the inside air and it stopped the tapping noise unfortunately the blower door seems to be located somewhere in the middle or back of my truck but now at least I don't have to deal with that annoying tapping 😂❤
Thank You Sooooo Much. I’ll let my Moms know it’s safe again. She thought I was trying to take her out. 2016 JeeP Patriot.

Thank you. It worked like a charm.
Bro! This is a 3 year old video. And today I "fixed" that problem on my 09 Mitsubishi Raider. I thought it was the fan and I was about to buy it until I saw your video. You're the man mate. One question, do you (or anyone else) know the name of that stupid part? I'm sure it's a pain to replace it. I have very little space to move around. And I hope is just a screw or two to get it out lol 😆
Thanks for your feedback boss , is call door blender actuator
@@nestorautorepair really appreciate it bossman. Good looking out!

You're welcome boss thanks for your feedback
Good stuff man, have a 2013 making that noise....Thanks
U welcome Carlos , thanks for your feedback
Thank you. I have a 2008 Mustang and it just started doing that 2 days ago. But the noise is coming from behind the AC controls below my stereo in the center. I brought it by my mechanic today and he was guessing it would be about $300 to fix(mostly labor taking the dash apart). But I'm hoping it's similar to your car and I love your fix.
Wow don't pay that ,, the dash don't need to come out ,, just fallow the noise and you can do it your self ,, I also have another video

Check this video out this one was the door blender not the outside air like the one you watch first
Nestor Auto Repair . Right after I posted, I looked for my car specifically and found a video similar to yours showing where to replace the blend door actuator I ordered a motor craft off eBay last nights for $33 shipped. Thanks!!

Ohh ok thanks
Vehicle still makes the tapping noise
There are 2 of this part
@@nestorautorepair Wait. Mine isn't making a noise under the dash right there. Mine is making a noise right behind the climate control changer.
Yes there will one up there as well but more to the side
Top man , thanks alot bro
Thanks bro
Awesome video. Also you can just press the button every time you turn ac on . (The button of car with arrow inside it)
Yes you can
Thank you for this helpful film. I have that same noise regardless if the AC on or off. Before it would stop clicking when you switch to the closed mode, but now it is clicking all the time. Will it pass the state inspection w/that noise? If I want to fix the problem completely, what part should I buy (you mention some module should be changed), what's the name of it? My car is 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier.
Hello yes it will pass , so you need to stick your hand in there and see witch one is making the noise some cars have 3 some car 2 or 1 but the name is door blender actuator , in most cases one part will fit all 3 but is good to ask
@@nestorautorepair Thank you so much for your replay. Yes, the car passed the state inspection yesterday. I'm trying to get the excess to that Actuator, on that car (2003 Chevy Cavalier) it is very hard, you can't remove the glove department, it is build into the dash panel. I ordered already from Amazon (it is called there for my car Air Door Actuator), but I saw many complains on those products fm Amazon. I might check w/ Auto Zone or Chevy Dealer what they have. Hopefully I'll go without removing the whole dash board. Thank you again. God Bless.
Oh wow ok good luck , you're welcome
Accutator I knew I was right my mechanic was wrong I'm glad I didn't spend $1,000 on and you compressor thank you for this video
Yes sir thanks
Good video. Is that module expensive to replace? Parts and labor
Not really like $45 in parts and $30 labor
Thanks man. I have this problem on my avenger
Oh nice this car is the same
I also have this issue! "Fixed" now tho 😊
Thank you! Save me a trip to the mechanic!
You’re welcome
Thank you so much
U are welcome
Holy shiii i been mo ths with that damn noise thinking its something big ,THANK YOU
Outside air is important as more people more distance they go. I would suggest atleast keep a little opening at the top of the window.
Ok thanks

2007 Toyota Camry w tapping sound at glove box, a/c blower will not turn on, is this correct way to fix my Camry? TY
Does it stop the heat from working?
Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You’re welcome boss thanks for your feedback
I'm! I hope this fixes my problem with my Chrysler 300s this has been happening for way to long. I'm hoping it fixes my battery drain problem , I have to unhook my battery every night because it will be dead in the morning. The sound continues even when car is powered down. We're you having this battery drain problem also . Thank you for this video I am keeping my fingers crossed.
Yes sir Corret it was eating the battery as well
OMG! I do hope this will work , so if your battery was draining as well then you know what a big pain in the butt it is to have to un hook your battery every day , then have to hook back up again. Especially when you have a 2013 Chrysler 300s battery is in trunk. It seems pretty easy I think even I can do it being a female & all & I'm not saying that women are not mechanically inclined or anything like that. I haven't done it yet, but as soon as I do I will keep you posted on how it goes. But weather it does or doesn't" I appreciate the video anyways. Thanks again
By the way I have to tell you this is the first time in my life I have ever replied to anything on the internet. That's how much of a pain it is... Ha Ha
